Ended up at the Raven after failing to find a cafe I’d been given (dubious) directions to. I’m glad I wandered in. The Raven IPA is very tasty, the atmosphere is chilled and the staff are very friendly indeed. I didn’t have time for food but it looked amazing!

A proper pub, friendly staff and great choice of well kept beers.

If you like your beers, this is one of the best in Bath. Amazing range of beer styles, great ciders. Haven't tried the food yet but what I've seen looks really good! Highly recommended

The place to visit when in town. V.good range of real ales, ciders, wines. Well known for their pies and food menu in general. This is a pub that bravely extended when many others in England were closing. So hugely popular they even open at 8a.m. for breakfasts.

Fantastic selection of beers - particularly bitters, great food. Atmosphere was very quiet but I was there early and everyone was eating. Overall a great pub in the centre of Bath and importantly it's not one of the soulless identikit chain pubs that spring up in every city. Highly recommend.

Came here yesterday after my cousin from Sheffield was here last week & highly recommended it. Wonderful place with a great, relaxed atmosphere & lovely staff. It was so good we stayed here instead of going sightseeing & had some of their delicious pies for dinner. They were so good we came back for breakfast this morning which again was top quality & delicious, but the thing that really made our trip to The Raven was the amazing marmalade, never had such a yummy marmalade, dark, bittersweet & totally unctuous. The chef kindly gave us some to take home with us. We're hoping that when we return The Raven will have put it in jars & will be selling it on the bar #nectarofthegods

Absolute must-visit! I went for the Flight board in order to try 5 of the local ales and the Raven steak and ale pie, absolutely stunning, best pie I've ever had and the ales were absolutely delicious, 100% recommend!

During our stay in Bath, we loved The Raven so much that we ate there TWICE. The meat pies are too die for! I literally wish I could eat there every single day. Oh and the beer..... one of the best I've probably ever had. Highly recommend! You won't regret it!

We have walked by this pub on previous visits to Bath. This time was a day trip from Bristol. Very nice and clean pub. The beer was spot on. I would visit again and recommend.

A 'proper pub' with good beer and good food.

The food looks good but is too pricey so I don't have food there. I go for the beer which is excellent and they have a good selection.

Was super busy and you can’t book so had to wait for a table, however wasn’t long at all the was absolutely worth the wait. Such a nice environment, staff were so friendly and the pies were just so perfect for a cold night while visiting in Bath.

Quaint pub, warm and comfortable, a little on the pricey side, but I'd go back.

I didn't eat, so no rating, lots of options on beer. The beer was ok not bad in anyway. However the pub is looking really tired and not so clean.

Very cosy, personable independent pub. Really enjoyed it. Full English is served until 12pm, the hash browns were phenomenal.

I love this pub, it's probably my favourite pub, when I come to bath, staff are always friendly and pies and food in general is always nice, and they have a really good selection of real ales .

Great pub in a prime location. Decent beer prices for Bath and a great selection of ales which is my bag. It has a nice local feel about it with a lot of character. Would recommend!

Wonderful place to immerse yourself in the local root culture.

We had two ciabattas sandwiches, both were excellent and quite big portions! The pub was packed when we came (saturday lunch, at the beginning of the holyday term)but we did managed to find a table for two.

Great pies, sausage and mash. Generally good service and quirky pub. Nice hops above bar. Split levels offering different areas. Ordered halloumi and spinach ciabatta, got ricotta salad and noodle ciabatta.. I ate the bread and left everything else but wasn’t asked about it or offered a refund which was a shame.

Primera vez que visito este pub, que delicia. Pedí 2 bistec pastel y puré almuerzos y eran maravillosos. Muy generosa cantidad de salsa. Local Raven IPA también fue fantástico. Muy en el centro de todas las tiendas.

We were on the fly to an early start and decided to try them for breakfast. Nice basic pub, very good service, decent menu a bit more than the standard full breakfast. Good location, good prices. Nice stop.

Muy acogedor pub, encantador! Tuvimos mucha suerte de conseguir una mesa ya que estaba tan ocupado! El barman dijo que eso era normal, era agradable y hablador teniendo en cuenta lo ocupado que estaba. Las tartas son simplemente increíble! Yo tenía el venado, mi compañero tenía la cerveza. Debería haber ido a por la salsa de cerveza con mi pastel como lo hizo mi compañero, impresionante! ¡Tendremos que volver a Bath para que pueda tenerlo!

Amazing gem of a place in the heart of historic Bath. A labyrinth of different rooms and bars serving excellent local ales and home cooked food!

We came here for Sunday lunch. The food was great, we got the 2 veggie pies with mash potatoes and veggies. The food took way too long, approximately 30-45 min wait and the veggies came when we had already finished the pies. Other people experienced the same long waiting time. They should really get this sorted out as it is affecting the customer experience. Additionally they don’t do the traditional Sunday roast. Don’t know if I would go back.

Had an amazing breakfast today at the Raven! Server was extremely kind and welcoming. Food was fantastic, and the chef gave us a Ravens gold beer to take home! Fantastic! Highly recommend!

Typical English pub with a variety of beers on tap and traditional food. The service was very bad: we each ordered a soup of the day and a plate of sausages. Both things arrived all at the same time, with almost no room at the table, so it was very uncomfortable. Thank goodness they overheated the soup in the microwave and it burned so much that we had to eat it at the end of the meal.

Always a great atmosphere and hearty food and drink. My favourite pub in the Bath area.

First experience in a pub. Food was excellent, had the mushroom pie on mash and elderflower cider. Delicious and very filling.

What a gorgeous pub! We’ve visited several times during our stay in Bath and they have an awesome range of ales and stouts that are changed regularly. Open for breakfast, we popped by around 8.30am and had a fabulous breakfast with the most amazing homemade hash brown’s we’ve ever eaten. Definitely going back!

The Raven is a super authentic pub in Bath. We went here for a drink after exploring the city. It was a very cosy atmosphere. The staff was friendly. Although we didn’t eat here, all the plates around us looked absolutely delicious.

We stopped in here after visiting the Roman Baths. The Raven ale pie was the perfect thing for a chilly rainy English day. The house brewed non-alcoholic beer was also a nice surprise.

Raven Gold was good. It was busy on an early Friday evening with a good atmosphere. Good for having a chat with my mate.

Great CAMERA pub with amazing food. The service was great and it was very chilled out. There are 3 bars and it has several floors... Including a library. Would recommend.

What a find! Oozes atmosphere and character. Great selection of beers, too....and even a floor that hosts a library! Well populated, even during a weekday, and it's easy to see why.

This is my new most favourite pub in the world. The pies are great, the beer is great, service is awesome, the pub is cosy and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the Raven mascot that you can spot everywhere you look! Definitely a must-do when you’re in Bath.

What an awesome pub - on so many levels (excuse the pun). Starting with the building - cool from the outside and amazing on the inside. Several floors of cosy tables with a bar on each level. Good selection of their own beers as well as some decent wines. The food is a real killer feature - for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. So many "must try" items you just have to come back again.

Lovely pub - sampled on a recent visit to Bath following a recommendation. Was very crowded but we managed to get a table right upstairs in the library. Cozy and friendly environment, great beers on tap, pies to die for, Heartily recommended.

This pub was frankly the most disgusting venue I think I’ve ever been in in Bath and not only that probably the whole of the south-west of England. The food was foul the chips were cold and I couldn’t actually work out whether they’d been put on my plate from someone elses returned plate. The toilets were a health hazard. Someone had deposited something large in the middle of the floor and when I brought this up with staff they laughed and said welcome to Bath.

I'm so pleased to see they don't let riff raff in. 3 years late on this review, but very pleased with what I saw on lotuseaters

Great pub in Bath, delicious beef stew and savory pies, and we liked their lager and stout a lot! Recommended stop if you're in town.

The food is excellent, as is the Raven ale. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very cosy. It is also a Keir free zone. I'm hoping/assuming this applies to all pound shop dictators. An all round great experience, and will definitely visit again.

Brilliant huge traditional pub in Bath. If local or visiting you have to stop here for a pie, sausage and mash or a ploughman's, the food was excellent. The menu choice made it hard to decide as I could have eaten all of it. But we decided to go with venison pies which did not disappoint. I wish we'd stayed longer so I could eat more here!

We came across The Raven as close to our hotel. Lovely pub, nice staff. Best pie and mash we’ve had. Even returned for breakfast the next morning. That was also very good. I had the scrambled eggs. Deliscious. A definite to visit if your in Bath.

I had the best pie here in the UK. We ordered Raven Ale, Steak & Blue, and Heidi, and we all loved them.

Second visit, food just as good as the first time! My only niggle is that it can get very busy and there is no booking facility for tables, you just turn up and take pot luck!

Visited 23/9/24. Food was OK, but nothing more than that. Beware if you order the 'hearty stew', it comes in a dish no bigger than a finger bowl and certainly won't fill you up! Very noisy, and we were unable to hold a conversation at our table, which was also very disappointing.

I love everything about The Raven—my favorite pub in Bath. I’ve been there many times. The pub offers a huge selection of beers, has a lovely woody design, and serves delicious meaty and vegetarian pies. All my friends whom I took there, especially to the library on the top floor, loved it. For cider lovers, try their cider—it’s neither too sweet nor too acidic. It tastes like Apfelwein, which you can find in Germany. Their service is also fast.

Greeted very rudely by a guy with a mullet so turned around and left. I’d been there a couple weeks before too and been charged £26 for two G&Ts, I would probably avoid this place!

Great pub, significantly extended since my last visit. Didn't eat but the menu looks fab, the original hand made pies plus lots more choices now. A real craft ale lovers paradise but able to cater for lager lovers too. Was packed on the Friday I visited though the Bath Rugby fans were out in force.

Super cute place with comfy tables, booths, little nooks and crannies. Good food and friendly bartender who did a great job juggling all of his duties. I had the chicken pie with mash and my husband had the beef stew with a little salad and crusty bread. It was all fresh and presented really attractively. I would go there again for sure!

Good place to get bite and a pint!

Came here a few times during our visit to bath. Mostly for beer but we also tried our first meat pies. Everything was great. We found the beer to be priced lower than the pubs near the main attractions. It seems to be frequented by the locals also. Everyone is very nice. It's a big place. No trouble getting in.

Popped by for a light evening snack and beers. The only table we could find was outside which was fine, but definitely would have loved to sit inside with the cosy interior! The charcuterie platter we got was excellent, and the beer selection also! Unfortunately couldn't try one of the pies but they looked absolutely banger.
