Good place to have some Pints ​​of Beer, especially recommending the tasting of 5 beers.

Our favourite pub also happens to be the best pub in Bath. Great beer, great food… staff are all stars. Bonus points? No big screen TVs! No background Muzak. Just need to fix that doorway on the 1st floor. 😁

Nice quaint pub in the centre of Bath. Lots of seating available on the different floors and a nice selection of local ales/lagers to choose from.

Good atmosphere and service but was expecting a better pie for a place known for their pies, bit disappointing. Portions surprisingly small too considering the price point. Sausage tasted ok but slightly weird texture. Favourite part of the meal was the mash to be honest

Excellent stew and bangers and mash, and generous portions, we had a great and very filling dinner! Lots of interesting beers and some nice wines. Very cosy atmosphere with several levels and bar stands on each one.

Poor behaviour from landlord. There should be a test that allows you to run a pub. The owner here would be unfit.

Great, this place is spread out on several levels and there's plenty of room, they serve fantastic chips! Really nice selection of ales beers and other drinks. Board games available! I recommend it here.

A real pub ... Real Ale.. Real food ... A real gem... Loud a little rough...but what an experience... Loved every minute if it...

We had a family meal here and everything was delicious. We ordered the free range pie and the Heidi pie while our son had the chicken and bacon sandwich. The atmosphere was warm and inviting (we enjoyed the provided games). And the flight of beer was beautifully presented. We would come back!

Sunday 13th April 2025 This pub in Bath was visited by me today today. What a gem of a real ale pub. This is a cosy belting pub wooden floored great drinkers in here with 6 great unusual handpumped ales on and 1 cider Staff are very friendly helpfull and polite I would recommend this pub 🙏 wholeheartedly to all real ale drinkers who come to bath

A great traditional pub. Worn plank floors, narrow stairs to the upper floor, friendly and fast service. The sausage portion I chose was not to my taste, but others in our group praised their portions.

Bath is fortunate to have a plethora of good pubs and I would put the Raven firmly in my top 3. The place has a great vibe, the pies are great (especially the venison and steak pies) and the branded glasses are cool. Staff have been friendly the numerous times I’ve visited and this is a great place for a pitstop when exploring the centre of Bath.

What a quirky little pub, although it boasts three bars inside. Lots of craft beer to choose from and the smell of the pies was delicious. Just wish we hadn't already eaten.

A decent cloudy IPA is hard to come by in London. I was very pleased to stumble across the Raven IPA on my trip to Bath. A lovely hoppy beverage with a smooth, velvety flavour that's good all the way to the bottom of the pint glass. Highly recommended to craft beer lovers. The staff were very welcoming and attentive too

We made this our local in Bath. Good breakfast and great pie for dinner. Cold beer and wine.

Great atmosphere. We stopped off for drinks. It had a fabulous atmosphere just following the Bath Marathon. Couldn’t stop For food as we had a table booked at another place. But we will return for more.

Lovely place. The food is great. Wife had a pie and I had a sandwich. The drink choice is brilliant as well with loads of local ales available. On top of that, I was stupid enough to lose my wedding ring down the back of the seating. Mickey, the owner came and took my details and organised for the seats to be removed (by the handyman) the next day to get my ring back. He called almost straight away the next morning with the good news they found my ring and confirmed my details to send this on. Thank you very much!!

It was a nice place to visit had a lovely drink here otter lager ordered food. The wife liked hers. It was okay for me. Was it worth the money? That's debatable and up to yourself?

After a days walking around Bath this pub is an excellent watering hole split on several floors with an abundance of real ales and ciders. Great place to relax before returning to your hotel to get ready to go out for an evening meal. The choice of nuts behind the bar are divine.

Home cooked pies - one of the best pies I’ve had! Yum

Great pub, gets extremely busy and you have to time it right to get a table. The pies are exceptional and even though the place is busy you cannot fault the service.

Delicious Piemater fayre served with a choice of gravy, potato and veg. All in crazy busy krany pub. So glad it has 3 floors, as The Raven is always busy. Not just for the food but also locals popping in for a drink. Full of character, quirky decoration on the walls and staircase up to top floor or down to rustic loos in the basement! And the Piemater dinners we had where cooked to perfectly, just the right amount of gravy with a choice of chips or mash, some seasonal veg and a nice local pint. Yes,you can go to the Piemater in town but the Raven is much more fun and oozes character.

What a pub. Greeted with smiles, great service, and fantastic selection of local ales and beers. We didn't eat but food looked incredible and the pies are a speciality. Would definitely recommend this establishment 🍻 Lovely cosy, friendly pub.

We visited this pub twice whilst in Bath. Once for an evening drink and the second time for brunch. The evening time was a bustling lively atmosphere and the brunch was quiet and relaxing. The pies look sensational but unfortunately we didn’t try them. The brunch was nice but not as impressive as the pie looked.

Being in the category of 'hard to please' its nice when after doing a little homework on the place it lives up to what you were hoping for and in this case...a little more. Keeping the food simple and to a minimum menu is always a good start, the pies and mash were damn nice. I was especially pleased how the 'real ales' were very well looked after or kept as this can be such an area of inconsistency in pubs and often is, I find. Not this one. Top notch Raven. Well done,see you again sometime.

Good selection of beers, some I've never seen (such as Brennan's Irish Stout) about before. They do their own brews too.

The beer bar is quite excellent. I didn't realise immediately but they have around 16 taps. Really you need to set aside a few hours to visit

I've visited Bath many times, but only came across The Raven for the first time recently. We went one evening for dinner and while it was very busy, food arrived quickly and the pies were lovely, along with their own ale. It's very cosy with a great atmosphere, and the Raven symbol across the pub is a great touch. We enjoyed it so much, we returned on our last day for breakfast, and got to try some of their lovely hash browns too!

What a fab place, always love going the Raven for some proper pie and ale.

Great breakfast at this pub, which is a bit off the beaten track but open from 8 am. Choose is wide from full English, thru bacon and sausage sandwiches or smashed avocado to simple toast. Efficient service and a personable server. £10 each for a tasty roll plus drink and oodles of butter and condiments was excellent value.

Very good selection of local beers from 3 bars. Pies are well worth visiting for, especially with the added vegetable option.

Went on Sunday, super busy, but the wait wasn't bad, service was quick and friendly. The pies were amazing, seriously delicious. Pastry and filling cooked perfectly, you can tell why it's the star of the menu. I had a flight of craft beers, each one was different and refreshing. The atmosphere was buzzing, tons of seating spread across three floors. I'd totally recommend The Raven, for food or just drinks.

We dropped into the Raven on a damp and miserable day - it was busy but we got a table, staff were friendly and happy for us to taste some beers before ordering, we then went for a couple of pies and WOW, they were excellent!

Fantastic beer, great food and really friendly staff - it's a top place for chatting the night away, as music is kept down. We ate there for dinner and the pies are something else. The breakfast is pretty good too.

Any pub who bans Kier Starmer is a friend of mine

One of my favourite places to meet people in Bath. I've been coming here regularly since it opened, which I guess is about 20 years ago. It hasn't changed much, apart from more or less doubling in size when they bought the former estate agent next door and knocked through. The results two staircases and two or three doors make it interesting to navigate. Anyway, a great beer selection, food focused on pies and they have a series of regular events each month, including story telling (just remember you need to keep quiet during the stories if you accidentally find yourself attending).

Great traditional pub. Although we didnt eat, it looked great. The beers were excellent and the staff friendly. Could easily have spent all day there sampling the many real ales on offer.

Jumped in here for a quick stop whilst planning for dinner. It's a lovely space, what seems to be a converted house/inn so there are different rooms to set yourself down with a drink. There's also a small variety of interesting beverages both on tap and bottled, so it's great for a stop for one (or three) on your way around Bath. 😊

The landlord of this pub is a living legend, I will definitely visit when I'm next in the area.

My wife and I were lucky enough to drop in here on a whim on our first night in Bath. We closed the pub that night and returned each day for the rest of our trip! The atmosphere is great over the three floors with unique decor and random illustrations on the walls. The food is outstanding, whether it be the pies, breakfast, or the homemade sausages and vegan options. We had breakfast twice and had two different pies as well as the sausage and mash. All of these options were both extremely tasty and filling. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, with none of them on their phones and all very happy to engage us in conversation when they had the time. We were both very sad to have to go home as we certainly don't have anywhere in London that matches this fantastic pub in any way! 5 Stars!

Super cosy, snug pub on three floors, with library on the top floor. I've never been in a pub with a library before! Excellent beer quality. 4 or 5 real ales, from smaller breweries. Food smells excellent.

So I've never been but upon hearing about the owner this is an establishment everyone should visit. Based on the reviews it is a wonderful place run by a wonderful person. Give it a try!

Great atmosphere, Incredibly busy even in January, Great choice of Beer's and the pie's were rather good too. Definitely worth a visit, Might be quieter mid week.
