Typical English pub with a variety of beers on tap and traditional food. The service was very bad: we each ordered a soup of the day and a plate of sausages. Both things arrived all at the same time, with almost no room at the table, so it was very uncomfortable. Thank goodness they overheated the soup in the microwave and it burned so much that we had to eat it at the end of the meal.

What a gorgeous pub! We’ve visited several times during our stay in Bath and they have an awesome range of ales and stouts that are changed regularly. Open for breakfast, we popped by around 8.30am and had a fabulous breakfast with the most amazing homemade hash brown’s we’ve ever eaten. Definitely going back!

What an awesome pub - on so many levels (excuse the pun). Starting with the building - cool from the outside and amazing on the inside. Several floors of cosy tables with a bar on each level. Good selection of their own beers as well as some decent wines. The food is a real killer feature - for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. So many "must try" items you just have to come back again.

This pub was frankly the most disgusting venue I think I’ve ever been in in Bath and not only that probably the whole of the south-west of England. The food was foul the chips were cold and I couldn’t actually work out whether they’d been put on my plate from someone elses returned plate. The toilets were a health hazard. Someone had deposited something large in the middle of the floor and when I brought this up with staff they laughed and said welcome to Bath.

Brilliant huge traditional pub in Bath. If local or visiting you have to stop here for a pie, sausage and mash or a ploughman's, the food was excellent. The menu choice made it hard to decide as I could have eaten all of it. But we decided to go with venison pies which did not disappoint. I wish we'd stayed longer so I could eat more here!

I love everything about The Raven—my favorite pub in Bath. I’ve been there many times. The pub offers a huge selection of beers, has a lovely woody design, and serves delicious meaty and vegetarian pies. All my friends whom I took there, especially to the library on the top floor, loved it. For cider lovers, try their cider—it’s neither too sweet nor too acidic. It tastes like Apfelwein, which you can find in Germany. Their service is also fast.

This was a return visit to The Raven, the last visit was 8 years ago, when I was amazed by the pies. They were just as good this time, we went for fully loaded with mash and a large portion of mixed vegetables. The meal was sublime, not to be beaten in my opinion. My only gripe was the guy behind the bar was a bit grumpy and made a point that we would want the only table that he had to clear. We wanted that table because it was the only free table big enough to eat at. He also made a point of having to go to the other bar to get the beer my partner wanted. His lack of customer skills was made up for by the lovely person waiting on table, who deserved 5 stars all of their own.

I have no bad word against it here whatsoever! This was my maiden trip to Bath on my partners recommendation and after disappointment in Swansea for breakfast, we decided this would be our stop. I was in awe from the get-go with the architecture of the area and The Raven managed to blend in and stand out all at once. When we arrived, people were outside taking photos as part of a local walking tour and it was only 1045 so I was amazed at how busy the city had already gotten. We parked at The Cattle Market near the Double Tree and it was only a short walk to Quiet Street and we were here. We were welcomed straight off the bat by people who really looked like they enjoyed where they were! Our order was taken and I was all too enthusiastic to go exploring further! The Raven is a bar/gallery/library set across three floors with a cosy, historic feel with the modern touches and quirks that also felt quite gothic in nature, it was really quite beautiful! I got so sidetracked on the third floor with the library that my partner had to message me down to get the main floor for our food! We had a large breakfast with black pudding, which was served on a bed of spinach and I swear I have never had a breakfast like it! The hash brown was beautifully seasoned and 'ruddy' massive. The chipolatas were divine and I couldnt get enough of them!! All of which was locally sourced. The bar has its own ale as well but given our time of day, we were reluctant to drink anything alcoholic, however we were very pleased to see little gift sets with cups and glasses merchandised with 'The Raven of Bath' on the side and a set now sit proudly in glass's cupboard. The toilets were just right also with a gentlemans downstairs or a unisex up half a flight. Pricing was reasonable too with the whole meal, two pots of earl great and the pint glass and gin glass coming well under £40. 5* would highly recommend and will be back!

Maybe it was just ‘one of those days’ Disappointing, although I accept that not every establishment serves Earl Grey tea. However, I’m astonished that this pub didn’t serve decaffeinated coffee either. Thankfully (?) water was available. The meal: I was hungry so I ate the cardboard masquerading as a toastie. I have no idea who in my group complained on my behalf which resulted in me being offered a refund. As I’d eaten it, I declined. It seems Greene King are going through difficult times.
