I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to try Sam’s! What an amazing place…we couldn’t fault a thing. The service is top class, the vibes are great, and the food was outstanding.
We hedged our bets and tried Sam’s on a sunny Saturday evening, and the hosts were SO welcoming in trying to find us a space. I observed other people coming in later who also had no reservations, and the welcoming attitude of the Sam’s crew was great to see (rather than giving a blanket ‘we’re full’ response that you often see at other places in Cheltenham)…you can tell they’re keen to accommodate/ensure people have a great experience with them, and it’s fun to have a place that enables a bit of spontaneity.
It’s a destination restaurant that I’ll definitely be recommending to fellow foodies.
Can’t wait to make a return visit!
Great medium size cafe offering a range of cooked breakfasts, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninis, curry and pasties reasonably priced. Great selection of teas coffees and milkshakes, which my kids said were the best with cream and marshmallows. Fresh home made coleslaw and sconesThe cafe is part of able2achieve trust and is dog friendly.

Portishead..new bar.
It's pretty small, so opening night it was packed. Nice to have another bar to go to. Big selection of beer..all starting at £5:90, if you want a 5:5 abv then you are looking at £7. More expensive than Sirens Calling. Wine is £9 to £10 for a 250 ml glass. Cider is at £5:90.
Personally I think they need a couple of go to lower priced beers.
It's new, it's different give it a go.

Booked for Mother’s Day lunch.
It was a busy day but the service was very friendly and quick.
We had one on a gluten free diet which was discussed and catered for.
We will return the staff did a fantastic job.
Thanks guys
I have recently, for health reasons, had to totally change my diet. So many different food types that I cannot eat so eating out has become impossible.
We were welcomed by a waitress who after explaining our situation said "We aim to be inclusive. Let me know what you cannot eat and I will check with the Chef".
When she came back she showed us what I couldn't eat off the menu and what the Chef could alter to make thd dishes suitable for me.
The Chef came out to talk to us half way through the meal to check we were OK. When I thanked him for accommodating us his reply was wonderful. "Thank you for trusting me with your allergies".
We had a wonderful meal and the staff were brilliant.

The pub does a stupendous real ale festival, and these sort of pubs must be extremely appreciated by conifers of people imbibing good real ales
A small bakery with good prices. The really delicious pies were awarded here. The burger was also very tasty as were the fries. The pastries looked very inviting and the lady in the bakery was very friendly.

Stayed here back in October and it was exactly what we wanted. The building is charming both outside and inside, rooms and bathroom are very small but it didn’t take away from the experience. It’s a great location, and the walk to get to the city center is lovely. We couldn’t have pictured a better stay for our first time in Bath.
OK. I'm really fussy with food. Last night as 8 of us cramped in here, it was so worth the wait. Num tuck (or how ever you spell it). Was the best beef I had ever had and the taste was out of this world. I love Thai, it's up there you know. But everything was done to perfection. I will be coming back, again and again and again !!!!
