Local pub, landlord and staff friendly and efficient, cheaper ale if paying cash, great music on a Wednesday, my brother and I loved the place, local knowledge shared, we'll be back 😀

So if you love real ale, this is the place for you! Tucked away. Bit of a climb to get to it but just fantastic. Locals pub but friendly and warm. Great range of ales superbly kept. Spent a lovely evening here. Games to play placed on the tables as well. Small covered & heated outside area as well. Fantastic value as well. Visit on a Monday and its £3.50 a pint for cash! Absolutely recommended if you love beer. A Camra members dream.

Fantastic pub with great choice of real ale and a friendly welcome. Five beers on offer when we visited. You’ll need a beer after the steep walk up over the steps but it’s worth it.

Having not been there for a while, Merv expertly and interestingly talked us through the beer. Perfect condition as we worked our way along 1/2 a pint at a time. Keep doing what you're doing. We'll be back.

A quiet pub for locals tucked away in a backstreet. Definitely worth the climb up from the harbour, where the pubs are pretty dire.

Best pub in Brixham for beer and atmosphere. 'real' real ale choices too, not the usual 'chuck a sharps on and call us real ale' touristy place. Definitely recommend.

Great fun and really good beer! Last night was the 'meat raffle' and despite being in a group containing vegans it was a hoot. Very friendly local pub, beer always excellent.

I went here on my 30th birthday. There was a band playing called 'The Underground' that remind me of a Punk Rock Band. The music was great, the atmosphere was electric, and I'm dying to know where they buy their pineapple flat cider. Xxx

This is a proper pub. Locals chatting, CAMRA cider pub of the year 4 times, games to borrow, a barman who remembered my drink the following day and great interior. A bit off the main Brixham Harbour zone but worth the hike up the hill!

Visited with my wife & 3 daughters while on holiday @ Brixham. Super clean friendly yet calm & peaceful local pub off the beaten track away from tourists yet locals & bar staff were friendly & welcoming towards us, wish we’d found this place sooner!! Lots of well kept real ales and a huge selection of other drinks, nice background music was modern but not too loud. Lots of books, board games & puzzles if you get bored. Would recommend & will return, thanks for a lovely evening.

Called in as I saw 6 or 7 chairs free through the window. Plus it said Camra award winner 2023 on the plaque. We couldn't sit on the chairs as one guy was saving them for his mates. The bar lady wouldn't let me have a small sample of any of the ales on offer as "We don't do that here.. you can buy three small third pint samples though". Went down spoons and we stayed the rest of the night. 5 pints each. Pity as the pub is 20 yards from where we were staying.

Definitely one of the friendliest bars in Brixham. It's worth walking those few extra steps away from the town. Wonderful service and the best selection of local ciders . Being an expat I was definitely feeling at home in the bar. Beautiful layout . Even the customers were friendly towards us. It's a bar you enter as a stranger but you leave as friends. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely return again . 5 stars isn't enough . Check it out

Away from the harbour and the tourists, this is the beer-drinkers pub of choice in Brixham. Well worth the climb of numerous steep steps, it has plenty of breweriana and automobilia on display. Good range of cask beers and a friendly welcome.

A lovely traditional pub with a good selection of beers. The staff and costumes were all friendly. We saw two bands in the week we were there, both excellent.

Well worth the climb up the hill ,a group of us were in Brixham for a long weekend and visited on more than one occasion we were made to feel very welcome great owner and staff, nice little touch having games on the tables

Quite a pound up a steep climb from the harbour, but the great selection of beers and local ciders makes it well worth the effort. An excellent hostelry to quench your thirst.

Sunday afternoon in the Queens was absolutely banging today.

Another superb pub off the beaten track. Lots of superb ales in a truly memorable pub. Lots of classic memorabilia to make u feel at home. The location puts many off, but worth a small walk up the hill. One of the musts if u love ur ales.

We were recommended this pub by the owners of the b&b up the road from it. Great beer, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff and customers. I only wish that we'd had more time to sample more of the range of beers and cider. Thanks for making us feel welcome.

We stayed across the road, at the yellow House, where I nipped across to take pints back with me. Great choice of beers, friendly locals and great staff.

Great pub to visit. Thank goodness it has a defibrillator in a old red phone box outside the front door. You need it after the climb from the harbour. But will worth it 👌 a great selection of ales and cider and i mean a great selection. Don't take my word for it. Go visit

Fantastic selection of cask beers, nice atmosphere, decor and friendly staff. Even though we stay in the marina we still make the walk up here most nights to visit during our yearly holiday.

Was recommended by the locals so gave it ago. If you like real ales and ciders this is the pub to visit. A wide range of local ales and in addition the usual favourites from the larger breweries. Also many local ciders as well as keg versions available. A classic local and well worth a visit .

As visitors to the area we found this to be a very welcoming traditional pub offering friendly service. Good variety of real ales, beers and ciders (particularly distinctive in these difficult and uncertain times, where many pubs have cut back hugely on their range). The land lady has been knowledgeable of their stock which was all kept and served excellently. No wonder they regularly receive awards. We will definitely be visiting next time we're down (soon)🙂. Yes just revisited and their Mosaic single how ale was excellent, well kept and served, and not too many Ale miles.

Band were fantastic and the cider selection was great. Most people were welcoming and friendly.......except the landlord. He was very aggressive and made it very obvious that we were not welcome so we left immediately

Good atmosphere,good music and good ale

The Queens Arms was a joy to find we did question the uphill walk but the end result on a Saturday night was well worth it, a proper locals pub and as visitors made to feel welcome. ( There is a defibrillator in the phone ☎️box outside pub if needed 😂😂😂) The real ales are varied a good choice and the band Cargo got the whole house rocking. We will be back ;) 💜💙💛💜💙💛

Really lovely amd helpful staff. Beers and knowledge from landlord A1*. However the current drink of 2021 is the dangerous lilys mango cider. Taste like rubicon mango juice with the same mouth feel. At 4% will get you leg tied before you go back for another, cracking

Best South Devon pub again this year! They have a great landlord who really cares about the community; raises money for charity, installed a defibrillator in a salvaged telephone box that he acquired, is friendly and welcoming and can't wait to see his loyal patrons back when he is able to open again.

If you’re looking for friendly people and a landlord that knows how beer should be cared for then you’ve just hit ‘jackpot’. A delightful and traditional place full of community values as well as welcoming of visitors, this along with not being in the main drag of bars etc makes this a real hidden gem.
