Lovely comfortable hotel. Beautiful accommodation and surroundings. Service in the restaurant was not the same standard as our previous visit which was disappointing. It's a shame because the food is excellent.

Lovely hotel with great service. However, the room was too hot, with only a portable fan to cool down. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from. Plenty of parking space. A five minuite walk to the beach.

I can't fault this hotel. This was my second visit in 11 months. The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant is excellent.

An absolutely fantastic hotel. A little bit of affordable luxury! Every room is faultless. Beds comfortable. Attention to detail brilliant. Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpfull. Nothing is too much trouble. Food....well where do I begin. Something for everyone. Cooked perfectly. Good choices for every meal. I can't rate this hotel and spa highly enough. I always look forward to our yearly trip to Torquay. Roll on next year, or if I'm lucky I may go again this year. Well done Belgrave Sands Hotel &Spa. X

04/03/2024- Update: no recognition of this post from management, and no response to emails. We came here for a spa day today - £130 for two people. The woman on the front desk was polite, and made sure we registered our vehicle (otherwise you get a fine). We were handed robes, slippers and towels and then shown into the 'spa' area. Immediately, there were dirty towels on the floor, and a small pile of rubbish which wasn't nice to look at. The changing facilities were fine, albeit one toilet. The swimming pool was really cold and very small, with no jacuzzi. The sauna was nice, but again small, and the steam room turned itself off - so we had to get maintenance to fix it. To be fair, the gentleman who did this was polite and sorted it quickly, but we didn't want to go back in after that. Unfortunately, despite there being a notice for the spa to remain at a quiet level, we shared the pool with a group of four really loud individuals. When trying to have my facial today, all I could hear was them yelling and screaming in the pool which made my treatment un-enjoyable. Our lunch was disappointing. With the spa package you can only choose a £15 main meal (which we knew as they do state this in the spa package description.) However, I thought I'd ask if I could have a sandwhich and a side salad which equated to the same amount. This was not allowed, and our server seemed to be irritated that I'd asked this. I then opted for the chicken and my partner got the burger. The chicken was one tiny piece, on the bone with a tiny portion of salad and a few chips. My partner's burger was awful. The burger bun was so crispy and dry, having been left under the heat lights in the kitchen. The burger contained no salad, and was a frozen slab, covered with one slice of cheese and the thinnest piece of pancetta I have ever seen. There was no lettuce, onion or anything to moisten it. No check back from the waiter about our food either which was disappointing. Part of the package includes tea and coffee upon arrival. We opted to have this after our main meal as we were so hungry, given how small our food portions were. They only allow you two biscuits, which the waiter stated to us. We're not big people, but if you're offering a huge pot of tea and coffee then more biscuits would be nice. I did ask for more and they did give us another two! We didn't realise they were rationing 🤣. The demographic for the hotel is largely elderly - though this has NOT factored into the review I'm writing. It is simply a heads up for any younger couples who think this is an appropriate stay for them... Would not recommend the spa package here - and am disappointed that for such a high price, you DO NOT get value for money.

We visited for the third year running and we have been happy with the hotel every time. The weekend deal is great, the food was excellent and the room pleasant. The staff are always welcoming and the evening entertainment is a bonus. It is close to Meadfoot Beach and walking distance to the town although it is quite a steep walk back but it can be done by bus that stops right outside the hotel.

Great experience with this cafe and bar I would highly recommend it to anyone in Paignton or passing through. Fantastic range of food and drink and the quality is 10 out of 10 too. The staff here are all really helpful and friendly, especially Charlie exceptional service time after time.I cannot wait to come return. Thank you to everyone involved.
