Lovely first visit on 17.15.2025 and was very impressed! Lovely friendly staff, super location, decor and atmosphere is lovely too! Food is superb, not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for! A well enjoyed treat for a couple like us or even a party! Will definitely be back soon!

Had one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever eaten at Olive during the pirate festival. Great selection of meats, and the veggies, roasties, puds and gravy were sublime. Plenty of everything to fill a hungry pirate's belly!

I have dined here twice, and hope to again soon. The food is delightful. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the interior is comfortable and well decorated. We'll worth a visit

Genuinely some of the best food I've ever had the pleasure of eating. My parents and I ordered a large sharing plate for two (seafood paella) and four tapas plates (greek salad dirty fries, honey and harissa halloumi, scallops, and monkfish). We each left full and buzzing, as each plate was uniquely delicious. At first I raised an eyebrow at the prices for such small amounts of food, but all questions faded away when I took the first bite. Flavour, presentation, and texture all 10/10 for this price point.

the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Especially the pork belly bites and monkfish. They also have a great choice of wines. Definitely recommended.

Local deliciousness. Food, wine; everything. The scallops in particular are ACE and I could eat them every day. Great wine, too. Not cheap but then delicious treats cooked with care rarely are. It’s worth it.

Inspired me to try my hand at cooking Shrimp Saganaki. Their version was delicious. Highly recommend the mushroom ravioli and grilled sardines.

Have been to Olive a few times and the food and service is always fantastic! Really recommend, the monkfish is incredible!

Sunday roast is like no other. This will be one off the best you have ever tried in your life!!! Without a shadow of a doubt the best Sunday roast I have ever blessed my mouth with, I have made and eaten many of different roasts.

Visited for Sunday lunch. The fact the restaurant was full in the middle of November says it all! The food was phenomenal & a great atmosphere with lovely views into the harbour. This restaurant is consistently excellent & the reason we keep going back.

Great food , but service very slow and wait a long time to get table cleaned and get sweets sorted roast dinner and sweets coffee up to 3 hours in total

First time trying the Tapas dishes and we were absolutely blown away, so many different flavours and tastes, highly recommend.

Great position on the harbour coupled with engaging staff and delicious food makes Olive a must visit (we do regularly!)

Not allowed to sit at a table for drinks as all reserved but only 6 people turned up. 50+ seats. Stayed over 2 hrs. Expensive cocktails but nice.

Really lovely and knowledgeable staff, and excellent food. Can’t comment on the wine as I don’t drink it, but there was an amazing array of choice for those that do.

Lovely staff. The food was both delicious and beautifully presented, with real care put into each dish. Highly recommend the Harissa Monkfish & Prawn Saganaki — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Tirimasu was a little bland and lacking any coffee kick or sweetness. But a fantastic spot for a lovely meal.

The Sunday roast is truly fantastic. Can’t fault it. A huge feast plus unlimited roasties which we couldn’t manage as there was more than enough of everything. Beef and pork excellent quality and the truffle cauliflower cheese was tasty. Thank you, we will be back!

Visited for a family meal. The kitchen was running like a machine - a seriously impressive operation (thank you nice lady in the bandana!), given the menu is largely small plates. Front of house rather less 'structured' in its approach, and we were rather disappointed that the house wine flights were 'off'. We also had to wait for a table to be cleared, despite having booked. The house Cava is very good though, so we consoled ourselves with an excess of that! Only the tabbouleh salad (warm, unusually, at least in my experience) slightly disappointed of the many dishes we had. The squid in particular was really exceptional.

Visited for the first time following a recommendation to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary & were looking for somewhere special, the olive didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were met by Jennifer who was charming and showed us to our seat in the window. The service was excellent and the food exceeded our expectations. We had the beef mignon Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. This is no ordinary Sunday roast, this is top quality restaurant food and everything was cooked to perfection, the beef was like perfectly cooked melt in the mouth fillet steak, the beef dripping cooked roast potatoes were delicious, the vegetables varied and cooked to perfection, scrumptious cauliflower cheese and the red wine gravy was to die for. Can’t remember ever having such a delicious Sunday dinner. There is a reason why this place is number one on trip advisor and it is totally deserved.

Thursday night in August. Ribeye for two and tiramisu. Food was delicious. Management need to hire a bar staff to take the pressure of the waiting staff (they were awesome!!). The two working front of house were run off their feet taking orders and making drinks, they were polite, apologised for the wait and did a great job but waiting time was too long in my opinion. I would return.

Outstanding service and delicious food. Love the decor and the wine list is quite something. Beautiful location, right on the harbour front. The portions were definitely on the generous side (or certainly for our appetites), but I'm sure would be perfect for others and certainly makes it good value. The carpaccio and spanakopita were perfect!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Popped in for a quick drink this afternoon, unfortunately one of the male members of staff (who wore glasses) was rude to my wife and tried to stop her and my son using the toilet before we left. The female member of staff who served me was very pleasant.

Really enjoyed our dinner on a busy Friday evening. We ate as a family of four from the tapas menu and probably over ordered as the food is amazing but quite rich, 12 dishes probably plenty for a family. Each dish was put together very cleverly, some ingredients a little exotic for our youngest but she enjoyed the pizzette fritte and pasta alla norma and the rest of us loved the pulpo in particular. This isn't a cheap place to eat but the food is top notch and wine list extensive and thanks to Raf & Immie for good service on a busy night.

Just flippin' marvellous! A standard of cooking that you'd expect to get at a Michelin star restaurent. Meat melt in the mouth, tasty and properly cooked veg, why would you go anywhere else? Whatever they're paying the chef it isn't enough. Good service too.

Came here for tapas and had a wonderful meal. The tapas menu was varied and all the dishes we tried were deliciously flavourful. Service was friendly and efficient, accompanied by a lovely Mediterranean-feeling ambiance and great harbour views. Highly recommend!

Great place if you don't mind being surrounded by nub ends outside in the seating area. What Hope is there when the staff litter the fire exit with nub ends too. Sort it out and I shall remove this review.

Absolutely stunning food and stunning experience always! Been here twice now and nothing ever faults! The wine menu is extensive and it's fab that you can try a few of the selection, go behind the bar and do it yourself! *wine club included*

It was absolutely incredible, I could not fault it. Service from Raf was outstanding, and nothing was too much. The food was just mouthwatering 🤤 it was the second visit, and again, they did not fail. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. You will be seeing us again very shortly. Also, the way the wines match the food are insane, you can also choose the wine club and go and pour tasters yourself. Outstanding 😊 Thank you.

My wife and I had a two of the small plates as a starter, and Paella as a shared main. The Paella was the best I have ever had and could easily feed five people! (we took the rest home 😁). The food was excellently cooked; obviously by people who care. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary, and enjoyed the whole experience. This is not a cheap restaurant, but experiences like this are great value for money.

This is now one of my favourite places in Brixham. We wandered in because we fancied something other than beer and saw the wine. The selection is massive, and there are even some specialties like dessert wines and orange wine. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating that we ended up staying for hours and enjoying a few wines whilst playing some cards. We came back the next day and had a few of the small plates, everything tasted great, I’d highly recommend the octopus! We’d definitely visit again 🙂

The Sunday roast was the best I've had! It was so good we went back to try the main menu and that was fab, too.

My husband convinced me to eat here. Not really into antipasti food and suchlike however we had a sharing platter and quite enjoyed it. Very busy place so they must be doing something right!!

We had the Sunday roast, I had the beef and my wife had the lamb. The beef was a beautifully cooked piece of fillet and the veggies and Yorkshire pudding were all a treat. The lamb shank was also beautifully cooked. Somehow we found room for a dessert, the Affogato hit the spot for me. Staff and service was great and a lovely spot for meal. Highly recommended.

We have visited for 2 weeks in a row to check out the Sunday roast. Absolutely outstanding! I can not recommend Olive enough on a Sunday. The resurant is beautiful and the decor is fantastic. The staff are attentive and friendly. 100% a must!

Had the Sunday roast, it was absolutely delicious. Slightly more expensive than your typical roast dinner as the beef is fillet mignon but definitely worth the extra expense. Everything was cooked perfectly. Great wine list. The restaurant has a nice relaxed vibe with pleasant staff. Paid parking near by on the opposite side of the harbour.

The most beautiful food Med style Tapas small plates, octopus & calamari. Matching wines and beautiful bar area. Service was fantastic works out about £10 a dish, well worth it. Highly recommend and will return. A must try

I had the chicken gyros, which had a North African taste not a Greek / Mediterranean taste, my wife had the veggie Mousaka which was actually not a Mousaka, very average food which was very overpriced for what it was.

Honestly, one of the best roasts ever - helped by unlimited roast potatoes!

Excellent meal with friends on Saturday evening. Great attentive, knowledgeable staff and delicious food. We opted for the small plates and they were all very tasty. They do larger mains too, and a small selection of desserts, the Tiramsu was lovely. We had one Veggie with us but there was enough choice for her too. It worked out to be about £40.00 per head including a decent bottle of wine. One gripe was we could not leave a tip for the staff on our cards... which I thought was odd in these modern times...

What a great evening!! The food was to die for, service incredible, the staff were amazing and loved how they explained the dishes as they arrived! Not one fault could be found, an amazing birthday meal 😍 favourite Small Dish was Pulpo, melt in your mouth could have eaten it ten times over 🐙 Each time we visit one of their bars/restaurants we never leave disappointed 😍

The best restaurant we have been to in many years. The service is second to none. Front of house, bar and table staff are fantastic and ver knowledgable of the food. The food is to die for and to top it off who ever designed this place has absolutely nailed it. Good job all.

Great new place , right in the harbour. Owned by a locally based group serving a selection of small plates which are good for sharing, they also have larger main meals. The small bites range between £8 and £12 ( 2 plates per person was ample) Large plates around £25 Drinks were reasonable priced and the service was excellent. Very helpful explaining the menu . Efficient ordering and delivery of drinks and meals as the dishes come out when ready

We were there around 5 p.m. There were only a few guests there. The staff is very friendly and competent. The map is well marked. There are many gluten-free dishes to choose from. The food came in a reasonable time. It was very tasty and the portions were big enough. Two small plates or one large plate are enough for an adult, and you can still eat dessert.

Lovely Lovely place, first time visiting but wow. I had scallops and ravioli. The ravioli was fantastic, homemade, and beautiful taste 👌 well explained by one of the staff members. The scallops were nice too. Partner had tuna stake, it was a little bit underdone, the rest was really good, we will be back.

Visited yesterday for an early doors dinner. The atmosphere and decor was super, staff were super friendly. The food was excellent. Really great flavours and choices - we've been to a lot of tapas bars around the world - Olive has a great selection in our opinion. Lovely views over the harbour too. We felt the portions were normal tapas size - plenty to share if you order enough. We would have ordered a couple more dishes, but nobody came back to check - I think they're missing a trick here. My only criticism is that there is no children's menu - I get it.... but ....my two aren't fussy, however everything is very rich/spicy/flavoursome - nothing was plain enough for them to have a proper meal, they just picked at the chips and the flatbread! A small children's menu and/or plain options would be great. That said, we are local and will visit again 100%, we will just feed the kids first next time :-) Thanks for a great Good Froday evening 😀

Fantastic place, warm and welcoming. Fantastic menu, something for all tastes, the wine list is outstanding. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We had a wonderful evening, I can recommend the prawns with chorizo, tomatoes and ozo, just wow. Would recommend and we will be back very soon.

Had Sunday lunch today and the food was fantastic. They have an amazing choice of wines with really clear insight into what each one has to offer. The service was excellent and I love the decor. So good we booked a table for tomorrow night.

This is an excellent restaurant where they get all aspects of the eating-out experience spot on. Great selection of wines by the glass, excellent food, friendly and efficient service, and a lovely ambiance. Great to share small plates but for those who prefer their own dish they also offer larger plate meals. We had a good selection and each dish was done exceptionally well. Front of house staff were great and a special mention to Vicky, the manager, who understands the art of running a good restaurant and the art of hospitality. Olive brings something new to the vibrant Brixham restaurant scene which is very welcome. We have eaten here a couple of times now and both times we have been very impressed - it's now on our list of top Brixham restaurants.

Warm & friendly atmosphere when arrived, group of 6 ,had the Sunday roasts which were huge, & also we had the small plates plenty to choose from, good value for money & definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely brilliant. We came for a Sunday roast and had one lamb and one beef. They were so tender and flavourful, probably the best roast I’ve ever had. We had the sorbet for dessert which was so crisp and refreshing. The restaurant was very well decorated and clean, and the staff were so nice. It’s clear the chef is very passionate about what she does. A MUST visit if you come to Brixham.
