Beautiful traditional country pub, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, roaring fire and good quality food, I shall return again one day without doubt.

Very indifferent. Soup, glass of wine and shared chips = £17. Won’t be going back. Alternative was sandwiches. Not impressed

Meal was good as they catered for what I wanted. Not the best steak. Steaks should be rested out of the fridge before cooking, it's hard to do in a pub kitchen but there's always a work around. Pleasant staff and an okay selection of cider.

A popular old coaching inn on the route that once ran through the village. The listed coaching inn gantry, is one of only three left in the country. Run by the village constable in 1742. Pictures of the 1953 coronation ox spit event are on the inside. Nice selection of beers and a very good food menu. Friendly staff, locals and landlord. Good seating in the sheltered garden to the rear.

Home made Creme-brule and crumble excellent

Lovely old pub in a beautiful Wiltshire village. We had booked a table for lunch for a family birthday lunch. We were rushed to order as the kitchen was soon to close, shame they hadn't suggested we booked for an earlier time. The food came out quickly and we couldn't fault the food. They did try to clear away before we'd all finished. We were asked if we'd like more drinks, as the bar was about to close, so we ordered them. We were never even offered desserts nor had the time for coffee - shame, they missed out on some custom there with ten of us in the group. Then we were told they were about to close and had to quickly down the drinks we'd literally just got. As we had all travelled from just over an hour away to meet at a geographically central location it was a little disappointing. We then learnt from locals that the current landlord is leaving immently, so hopefully next time we come our celebrations can be more relaxed.

What a divine pub! We had a delicious beef pie, fish and chips and sausage and chips - all amazing. Washed down with a Stonehenge Ale (Bustard). Beautiful people, pub and best pub food we think we've ever had!

Popped in for lunch, very tasty, great service. Pub is very cute and quite quiet at lunchtime.

Great pub lunch for my son's birthday. Really friendly staff. Very welcoming. Lovely food. Really tasty burgers, fab Kiev and delicious pie. Great choice of food. Even brought my son some ice cream with a candle before we left. Good value for money too. Would definitely recommend and return.

Beautiful, quaint place with spectacular views and delicious Sunday roast. Very good value, with highly friendly staff, very clean bathrooms, and tasty selection of roast options. A traditional pub with a thatched roof, closes at 5 pm on a Sunday. Something for everyone, kids, children and vegetarians.

Wonderful Inn, lovely staff and nice food. The pubquiz made it a fun evening.

One of our family members took us to his local watering hole out in Enford/Pewesy area on the last evening out in the beautiful country side. We all immediately fell in love with the place. From the people serving us to the owner, the whole experience was magical. They were all very kind and welcoming. We will definitely visit this pub again on our return.

Good ale, good food, good service.

V good pretty pub owned by villagers and selling good beer and super Sunday roast at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Impressive surroundings but v limited parking. Be prepared for a walk!

We were recommended by the owner of Cocklebury farm. Well it did NOT disappoint 🙂 it was Sunday so we opted for Sunday Roast. Roast Beef and Roast venison. (With plenty of delicious gravy). It was the best Sunday lunch I've had in a long time. And we went for the apple crumble 😋. It was the lightest of crumbles, I could eat it again!!! We did book in advance and glad we did as they were busy. All staff were welcoming, and it's a dog friendly pub, with a warm fire going. Perfect for a cold February.

Reasonably priced food and very good value as the portions were very generous. Lovely friendly staff. Bit chilly the night we were in for a big group booking but it was about -8 outside so not easy to counter that!

One of our local favourites. Great food, staff always welcoming and accommodating. Dog friendly too which is amazing as even if we are in for drinks or food without our pooch there are plentiful amounts of dogs to pet and say hello to. Sunday roasts are especially good! Easiest 5 to give.

Excellent pub, good drink and food menu, great atmosphere, and very friendly staff.

A real pub with real ales and proper pies. We both had beef and ale pies which had been cooked to perfection. Served with three types of vegetables and choice of chips mash or new potatoes. Mash was beautifully buttery - lovely with the masses of gravy which came in a separate jug! Friendly and efficient service too. 5 stars with a big plus!

Many congratulations to the chef/owner & wonderful staff on providing us with a perfect meal & evening in a truly exquisite pub. I had the chicken & mushroom pie, my partner had chicken & both were cooked to a superb standard, not mean portions & an absolute delight as were the accompanying beers. Great pub made even better by the friendly owners and amazing food. As visitors from Australia, and visiting pubs through the UK regularly during our trip, the Swan Inn stood out as the best pub food that we had, and would also say it was the best over all. It has a tasting option for beers so you can try all 3 of the locals. Thanks so much for making our stay so memorable!

A lovely lunch at a lovely venue. I don't want everyone knowing how good it is really as it might make it too busy but the food is great, the staff are great and it's good value and they should know!

Absolutely stunning place, inside and out. I ordered a steak which wasn't to my liking that I ordered, I never wanted to say anything and cause a problem or disrupt the dinner evening with friends in a negative way, I didn't eat the food the plates were cleared and food thrown in the bin, I was approached at the bar later that evening asking if my dinner was OK, noticing I hadn't eaten it, I was honest and gave my opinion. Left it at that....... Later in the evening on leaving and settling the bill the the guys behind the bar had passed that information on to the manager and the chef who then approached me and said I didn't have to pay for the meal Immediately turning a negative experience into a good one. Very apologetic and caring about their mistake and clearly very hard working and conscientious about their business and their customers. I've been before, the food is always very good standard, and I'll certainly will be back, wasn't ready to leave on one bad visit after many great visits so credit where credit is due and a still a very happy customer. The staff here are awesome, young staff are super nice, polite, driven and clearly steered to maintain a high reputation. Great job all round. See you soon.

Love this pub, luke pubs used to be in all the best ways. Lovely atmosphere, friendly locals and staff, great selection of drinks with delicious food at sensible prices.

Visited on a sunny Saturday lunchtime. It was busy but the food is cooked to order - we didn't wait that long. When it came it was delicious- black pudding croquettes with apple and chervil roulade.

Stopped by after visiting Stonehenge on a cold and windy last day of March, and struck gold with this one. Fireplace was going, pub was warm, nice and quiet. The pie with mash was excellent, as was the beer. Wife had "the best fish & chips ever". Highly recommended!

Lovely pub, great location, friendly members of staff. We went there for lunch but the menu seemed more like an evening meal type one which seemed rather heavy for lunch so I ordered the salmon as the light option as oppose to other options and very happy with my decision although I wish I had more salad with it on the side of it.

Nice surroundings. Very disappointing food: both salmon tart and chicken and chorizo pie along with chips were dry and completely overcooked. Asked for coffee but not offered any choice. When I asked to pay was quoted cost off iPad and had to ask for bill. We won’t be back - pity.

So glad the Hunter’s Chicken has made a comeback! Sumptuously adorned with a generous serving of truly delicious BBQ sauce, perfectly smoked bacon, all topped off with scrumptious melted cheese. It is the true definition of the dish, just done even better 😝

My husband had the hunters chicken which was smothered in barbecue sauce I had the house chilli which was watery and tasteless would not recommend the food here.

Beautiful village pub inside and out is gorgeous!! Very friendly, chatty staff and the most important thing; the food. The food is absolutely gorgeous!! I had the duck salad to start, followed by the proper pie and then finished it off with the apple and blueberry crumble……absolutely divine food, so tasty, well cooked and presented. Based on this experience I will certainly be visiting again, the Swan has just become the favourite for us in the area. Wifi available, garden at the back, limited parking just past the pub off the road, great bar atmosphere (though at the time of writing can’t stand at the bar). Christmas Update: Just back from having the Christmas menu and it was truly amazing food and service. The whole experience was great, totally recommend! We also love the monthly supper clubs.

Lovely homely country pub with a real fire, was warm and cozy in December. Had a very tasty proper steak & ale pie with chips, veg & the gravy was lovely too! Highly recommended!

We had Sunday lunch here with friends. It's a lovely pub, with a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The roasts were all enjoyed - tasty and plentiful. I had lasagna which was the same.

Great little thatched pub with tasty fresh home cooked food. Friendly staff and a comfortable cozy atmosphere with a real fire. Proper coffee in a cafetiere so you can have a second cup!

What a gem, hidden away in amongst lovely cottages and countryside! The food was really good and at first we were worried about the lack of a kids menu but they were so helpful and flexible with the items that it really didnt matter and our 6year old was happy. There was a good selection of local ales so I was happy too!

Excellent, very friendly service in a comfortable setting. The outdoor tent was pleasant and the place is very pretty. Food was nice and portions generous. They were really great with kids. Nice selection of local ales, too. All in all, a great village pub.

Absolutely Fabulous. Food, service, wine, etc. In a Lovely area good atmosphere. No bad points.

Dined here with my hubby and parents on Saturday evening; the food was excellent, and the chips were the best I’ve ever tasted. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and quick. Between us we ordered a couple of burgers - a bacon cheeseburger and a veggie burger, both served with the scrummy chips, creamy homemade coleslaw and crispy battered onion rings, beer battered haddock with chips and steak and ale pie served with a choice of chips, mash or new potatoes (we chose chips) fresh vegetables and a jug of rich, thick gravy. All the meals were delicious, and the portions were large, we all left stuffed and looking forward to our next visit.

A really great country pub. I had a pint and a portion of chips mid bike ride and it was spot on. A well kept pint of "Piston Broke" and a strong portion of cheesy chips whilst sat in the sun: does it get much better! Be aware that there are only three tables out the front, so I imagine that you need to book to avoid disappointment. Now to wend my weary way home... 🍻

Lack of parking came as a surprise but wasn't the end of the world.
