Had a fabulous meal with a friend. Good variety of meals on the menu, was spoilt for choice. Very friendly and attentive staff. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful old inn providing great food and warm and friendly hospitality. If you like old beams, love ceilings and thatched pubs then this is the place for you.

Nice pub but the food is not great.

Fantastic food, would recommend the fish and chips, meatballs rigatoni. Chocolate fudge cake and biscoff cheesecake were brilliant. Very friendly service, food served within 10-15 minutes. A very tranquil feel to the pub; will definitely be returning.

Beautiful outdoor area with hay stacks and fairy lights and lots of flowers. Tapas were nice but not exceptional

We went to a wedding reception at the yew tree and it was fantastic . Great pub and garden , food was very good and the staff were very polite and welcoming . We had dinner the night before there and it was sooo good . If your are in sailsbury its worth the 10 minute journey to have dinner . We will be going back .10 / 10

A proper quaint English village pub with great food, always busy so advise booking!

Decided to go for lunch with my daughter and granddaughter today my granddaughter suggested the yew tree which I have never visited. Wow the welcome and the service was amazing, the food was not only delicious but presented so beautifully thank you to all at yew tree John

Great food and rally lovely ambiance. The landlord and his wife seem genuinely to care about each customer. The place was pretty full and the atmosphere was just as it should be on a winter's day in England. Oh yes, and jolly good beer too.

Lovely pub and worth a visit, but be careful what you choose from the main menu. Six pieces of scampi and a small portion of chips for £17.00 are taking the wee wee. However, other items on the menu were more substantial for the same price. On Gordon's reply to me regarding the above. I appreciate his comments but it still works out £2.00 per scampi. Bite. However being such a dog friendly pub and exemperary service we had any refund please put towards doggy treats.

Lovely historic thatched pub. Food was excellent and service very efficient despite being a busy Friday lunchtime. Dog friendly, plenty of parking. Well worth a visit.

Had a fabulous roast lunch here with a guest from France. He was impressed too!

We have just got home after visiting the Yew Tree Inn for lunch. It was our first time but certainly won't be the last. When you enter the pub it has a lovely welcoming feel with a log burner. The staff were friendly and attentive. 2 people had the liver & onions, 1 scampi and 1 brisket of beef. All the food was perfectly presented on warm plates. The bubble & squeak was so tasty as was all the food. I can't comment on the desserts as we were all too full. I am so pleased I had pre booked a table as it was very busy (a good sign of good things). Thank you for a superb lunch and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

We drove from Bath to meet friends here for lunch at about half-way between our respective homes; so we each drove an hour. The Yew Tree Inn was well worth the drive. Such a lovely warm welcome: a blazing log fire, smiling and friendly landlady and absolutely delicious hot food. No problem with my allergies either - chef took it in his stride. The beer was good, prosecco a tad pricey at £31 a bottle - but it was a price woth paying for such an enjoyable lunch.

This was an excellent Pub. Plenty of parking. A very good ambience. And the food was well beyond "Pub Grub". A brilliant lunch with family. A delight The lady looking after us was friendly and charming.

Had the best Sunday roast today that I think I’ve ever had out. Lamb Rump. Beautifully cooked. Came with all the trimmings, you name it, it was included. So delicious. It was our anniversary so the chef even put a little decorative edible flower for fun. Such a great place to eat any day but Sundays are fabulous. Would definitely recommend The piccie is before all the wonderful veg came.

Excellent menu of main dishes, sandwiches and tapas. Good beer too. All in a lovely traditional English pub....what's not to like?

I’m so glad we came for a roast , it was the best roast I’ve eaten at a pub and they were all so friendly ! Deffo be back !it was worth the drive from poole !

Visited with family for Sunday lunch. It was really good, friendly service, very good food and great value..

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch today - some of the best food we’ve eaten in a gastro-pub. We were served by a very knowledgable waitress and they were able to provide a wonderful selection of gluten-free choices. Great value too. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely and friendly pub. This place is amazing! The pub is an old style country pub,low ceilings, watch your head tall people😂 The surroundings are beautiful. On to the food…………. Fantastic, never have I tasted food quite like it, some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, prices are good for what you receive, quality 100%, 5 Stars all day! Thanks Yew Tree 🥰 Update to this comment, I would say the prices have definitely increased and the portion sizes are smaller, less vegetables and the deserts are more expensive and the portions are child like in size (one bite size) Shame, because the Yew Tree had been a great place to go, I’ll give it a break for a while and see what it’s like in a few months.

Lovely old Inn, good atmosphere, friendly and happy staff and great food. Shared Tapas dishes to start, the Calmari was really good but the King Prawns were huge and juicy. Husband had a very large and tasty Fish Pie and I had the Pork which was lovely. Will definitely go back for more.

First time we’ve been to The Yew Tree and it won’t be the last. 2 of our party had Roast pork belly and 1 had Brisket - very fresh, tender and tasty. Hot fresh veg and loads of it too.

Fabulous village pub with great service, food and ambience. We sat in the beer garden on a hot summer's day for lunch. Recommended.

Such a fabulous meal on Saturday night. Our nephews wife is a vegetarian and said it was the best veggie lasagna she had ever had. My Greek stew was so delicious. I hope it is on the menu again. All four meals were fabulous, the presentation exceptional. The service was efficient and friendly, the atmosphere was lovely. Thank you. We shall be coming again.

Poped in with out booking had a drink at the bar and asked if they had a table of 2 available, They did and we had some great food here ,belly of pork and a Greek casserole what was all great ,great beer great service and very good food ,

We stumbled across this pub on the way home from a few days away. I had the lamb chops - utterly delicious and my husband had the burger. Fantastic food, great value for money and the waitress was so hard working and lovely.

Went as part of a large group having pre ordered (a Saturday evening). The 3 course meal was excellent and very tasty. Would highly recommend.

It has all the usual pub grub choices, and lots more besides. Freshly prepared, so may be a bit of a wait, even so it was good food, and worth the wait. Deservedly popular (the pub was full for a midweek lunch) so best to book if you want a table.

On Friday the 10th we celebrated our Golden Wedding at The Yew Tree. with our family and friends. We had a lovely evening. The food was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything went off with out a hitch. Thank you Yew Tree

Good quality meals at a good price. Friendly pub near Salisbury hospital. Can get busy and there is limited parking so best to get there early. I recommend this pub.

Had such a lovely evening on Friday. Arrived just after 6pm, the lady who served us was friendly. The steak pie was just like my grandmas. It was delicious. The liver and bacon was good. Nice to be served beetroot as a side veg. Loved the trivial pursuit question cards left on the tables. The roaring fire was a great feature. Highly recommend. P.s would have loved to have had a crumble on the dessert menu but that’s just me

My goodness what an amazing place. We are three couples that have been friends for decades but are now spread wide across southern England, so when we meet up, we look for interesting places roughly equidistant from us all, this meeting being at the YewTree just outside Salisbury. This is a real thatched-roofed, wood-beamed old building, where you're reminded of its age when you bump your head on the (cushioned thankfully) beam on your way to the bar if you forget. It has a diverse menu and even my old mate who doesn't do vegetables or anything adventurous was tempted into trying something new. Six plates of loveliness appeared and all were scoffed with gusto, resulting in six clean plates, we'll apart from my mate who couldn't be persuaded to try the hummus, so puddings were a no-brainer and again, there was a differing selection. Food great, surroundings brilliant, just go!

Fabulously good pub food. Very busy and deserves to be. I had the fish pie. My brother and uncle the meat pie which they both said was one of the best they'd ever had. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have visited the Yew Tree three times now. Each time we have been greated by a warm , welcoming fire place, and smiling member of staff. The rustic farmhouse style is relaxing, the food and service is beyond words. ( wife said the Gammon is to die for.) To grade the Yew tree. Has to be full marks all round. Nothing less then 100%. Four for lunch one weekday, thought we’d try as moved nearby recently and had not been before. Excellent tapas starter and all four had different mains which were really rather lovely. The pork belly and brisket were excellent, can’t wait to return. Thank you

The pub was buzzing at lunchtime on Thursday.. In spite of the number of people eating, we were welcomed & served with a smile. Our meals arrived promptly and were delicious. Amazingly, we felt like the only customers in the Yew Tree when the waitress was serving us

Good food , good service... lovely little pub indeed.

It’s only a 5 minute journey to the Yew Tree and we have been approx 4 or 5 times this year. The staff are always welcoming and the beer good. In summer it offers a very lovely garden with seating under cover. In winter the cosy bar and restaurant offer a very traditional pub experience with a log fire when it’s gets cold. The food Is consistently good with a good choice of English and Scottish favourites. We always look forward to our visits.

A pub my father-in-law used to frequent many years ago and always said the food was great. As ex caterer he was a fussy critic! Finally visited the pub recently and the food was amazing, really tasty home cooked food. Very cosy inside, dog friendly and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

For a family lunch to celebrate a Diamond Wedding Anniversary it was a super venue. A good range of well priced tapas starters (or mains if multiple dishes were selected) was followed by a comprehensive range of delightful large plates to suit most tastes and budgets. The unseen kitchen staff knew exactly what they were doing and it was all perfectly presented and then served to the party of 9 by our excellent waitress. There were no mistakes and the staff were not fazed when we notified them and then arrived 3/4 hour late because of a road closure. Highly recommended.

Super dinner on spur of moment, Saturday evening, on our way home from a hospital visit at Odstock. Delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. We will be back!

Our meal was so good the first night we decided to go back the second for the Tapas which was all delicious; especially the sticky pork bites. Amazing food and beautiful people. Will definitely be going back! (Oh and you have to try Fi's chocolate brownie too).
