Really friendly staff. We were that nightmare table with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free needs and someone who insisted on food on a plate, not a board - all dealt with wonderfully and with good humour. Fish and chips were the best I'd had in a long while. Limited options for the vegan and veggie as the Dandy had been so busy, but the burger that was available was deemed very good. The Dandy under new management deserves to do well.

very poor customer service and coffee tasted really bad. Few girls standing behind the counter and just gossiping whilst customers awaiting in the front.

Went for Sunday lunch great food very reasonable price. They do a lot of gluten-free food. The owners make you very welcomed, The pub is being redecorated, and the dining area at the back is very smart and is a nice place to eat away from the bars. This is a good place to go for good food, a quiet drink and a friendly smile.

This inn is a real gem. Friendly, efficient staff. very dog friendly. Small select menu, amenable chef, happy to adapt recipes. Pub itself, quirky and comfortable. Apart from inn, Holbeton is a beautiful little village , accessible to many walks including to Mothercombe beach. Also, the post office which sells a range of local produce and craft goods. Check opening times before going.

Seats outside when the sun comes out. Plenty of seats to choose from. It's nice to take a break from the outlets

I used to come here - to feed the ducks at the neighbouring duck pond - when I was 4-5 years old… 54 years ago… and this is the first time I have been inside the pub since!! We came on Xmas Eve - without a booking - but they fitted us in (4 adults, 2 babies and 2 dogs) for a sumptuous lunch. Pub food, but some of the best chips I have ever had, and super-tasty! Service was excellent, ambience even better! Loved it, and can’t wait to come back - in less than 50 years!!

Took advantage of the meal deal over a two night stay lovely evening meals and breakfast was good too they managed to put on a cooked breakfast for us all at 06.30 .

George was an amazing host, was very attentive and accommodating! Would definitely come back here again such a great experience. Can’t thank George enough for being our server absolutely amazing!!!!

Ben was brilliant, food is good and we got plenty of drinks - strawberry daiquiri was on the table constantly which was great! Ben was a brilliant waiter and kept the drinks flowing!!

I take a lot of tour clients to this wonderful Pub and they are always impressed. The food is excellent and never had any complaints, portions are generous. The staff always attentive, very friendly and welcoming. Great range of beers and drinks. Overqall very pleasent experience and I can highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We popped along on Boxing Day and had an excellent lunch , I had prawn cocktail and a steak and it was superb my wife had a pie and Mackerel pate . The service and food what salt on the venue is lively and spacious , friendly and warm ..
