Costa Coffee in Exeter

Every time we go there we have a good chat with the staff. They helped me last year between my hospital appointments. I always looked forward to one of Thier Drinks after my Chemo.👍😁. It made Life a lot Better. We Couldn't of asked for anything more.👍👍😁😁

Sunday morning, 10 mins after opening, very unclean around where making coffee, looked like not cleaned in weeks. Staff member cleaning outside, came into serve, no washing of hands and dealing directly with food. Chocolate powder all over the scanning machine and work top, again appears not to be a priority to clean. Cleanliness appears to be the least priority around the serving area. Seems to be the same issues with this specific Costa Coffee.

My breakfast toaster was not toasted well.

I quite often take my 2 young children here, really friendly staff, and an absolutely lovely atmosphere. Sometimes it's busy but that's to be expected with location. Great food ( bit overpriced) and lovely coffee.

Staff always friendly and helpful, service is slow but that's because it takes time to make coffee properly!

Love that dogs are now allowed inside.

ham and cheese toastie was missing. The cheese and Tomatoe toastie was cold. Can't be warmed up in microwave because bread would go hard. So cost me over £15 for one cold sandwich (when delivery & service charge added) never again!! No lunch for someone

I always go there for a cup of coffee after or before shopping In that retail stores and I always order same thing small amirecano with hot milk if outside was cold and a lemon muffin to drink inside pay more if you use the chairs so they should put everything in a tray and show the customer . Today same order she put a cup of coffee in front of me saying here is your order 🤨 then I asked can I have a tray then I said can I have my cake and again said can I have my milk and she gave me cold milk. Made me upset. Unsupervised staff untrained and no skill of customer service they take your money like a thief and not give your order properly

Costa coffee shop on High Street Exeter. I have been a customer of Costa coffee for years. They give the shop a revamp and completely changed the front area with new ramps for wheelchairs on one side and a deep step for the customers to trip over on the other side. They fixed payment machines on the wall. Using the payment method on the machines means customers are queuing at the counter and customers are waiting at the machine area which means we all wait longer than before. At the front of the shop we had a nice view of the outside High Street, they removed 10 tables in this front of the shop area. The couple that arrived to survey this revamp should look for another job.

Cannot understand some of the negative reviews, this is the best Costa I've been to and I've been to a lot of them! Service is always great, drinks always taste good too

Seats outside when the sun comes out. Plenty of seats to choose from. It's nice to take a break from the outlets

My Most visited coffee shop, thought it would be time to review! Drinks are always great and look fabulous! (Esspecially the mango bubble frape) Food is standard. Service is sometimes amazing, and sometimes not as great, but its a busy store so thats understandable. And the overall atmosphere is busy, but its not negative either, staff are on top of cleanliness (all the times I have been) Defininetly a recommended location for a quick and simple costa ☺️

Ordered coffee 2 latte and glasses they come in was broken on the top took um back and woman didn't apologise need one she put her dirty hands on the top of the glass, took um over my other half took a slip and the handle was leaking and went down here we just left and the toilets in there didn't look very clean at all, why this place still open and 2coffees nearly a tenner what a joke....

Really slow service,yes thay were busy,got the order wrong twice,got tutted at.

Not keen that they won't have a dog free area now they are allowing dogs in.

Requires a better vegan cake menu. Very limited.

Had a Mac and cheese and hot chocolate here last week. The medium hot chocolate I thought would be a lot smaller.

What can you say well run coffee chain, staff always accomodating and pleasant , good range of drinks and food 13 oct 24 attended location to find 5 dogs in premises 2 of which were sat on the furniture I have no objections to well behaved dogs in coffee shops and the likes but why are they allowed on furniture I don’t want dogs hairs over my clothes Needs a review of that policy

Had a lovely visit here, staff amazing especially Emma. So lovely to see someone so chirpy despite it being busy.

I went here today with my family hopeing they had the salted caramel frappe but they didn't but this one lady made him something not on the menu , a white chocolate frappe which is delicious 😋 thank you whoever made it , you've made my brother very happy today

For a franchise coffee shop, not bad. I'm not a great fan personally, but this branch was just where we needed it on the commercial estate. Good food good, if a bit slow service. Atmosphere, as good as it gets in a steel frame steel clad building.

Its lovely huge and bright place with huge windows. Great food and service. Mobile signal seems to get weak in there though

Don’t go went for a coffee and had a £60 fine apparently there’s a time limit even though l had coffee and food. These places letting these private car parks take over is a rip off they will lose customer!

I ordered a sausage roll and didn’t receive it with the order. My hot drinks were also cold and the sausage roll I ordered was for my lunch and now I don’t have anything. I am not happy and would like a refund for my item.

Good chai latte but I wish it was hotter

Always busy , and if you are lucky to find a table still has previous customers empty cups and mess on it . Like many other customers, have to clear yourself and ask for cleaning cloths etc

Came in with my grandma over Xmas for tea and a sandwich staff were all really nice, Usually get a take away mocha and some food always good service and one lad (can’t remember name but he will know who he is) seems to remember me and makes sure my order is always done quickly great service! Very busy ! However the service was really great. In fact I ordered the wrong thing and it was no trouble at all to them to change it last minute. Easy parking outside and a free drink with my Costa card today ! ....happy !

Mid morning 16th October and we visited this branch of Costa. We found a place to sit which we had to clear ourselves before we could us it. All around there were tables that were stacked with dirty cups, plates, cutlery and trays waiting to be cleared in. One we secured the seating, one of us remained seated while the other went to the counter to be served. Although there were four members of staff, including the manager, behind the counter, it was absolute chaos. There was one member of staff preparing drinks whilst the others piled more orders in front of her. It took over ten minutes to get served, were getting close to the point of walking out. Eventually our two flat whites, £3.50 each were ready. In fairness they were well made and flavoursome, the rest was a shambles. As we left the tables still remained unclean and uncleared.

Mediocre expensive coffee, for a company that specialises in coffee they are poor. Always tastes watery and weak. It gives me no pleasure to leave a poor review but it's always the same, usually the only reason I have a Costa is opportunity. Food was reasonable though.

This is a modern, fairly big Costa. The cafe is airy and clean. There are benches and tables outside which is very pleasant when the sun's out. Pity it's alongside a large car park for the shopping centre.

Tuesday 13th June and we visited here for lunch. A bright modern purpose built outlet in Rydon Lane Retail Park. There was outside seating available in the glorious sunshine, however we chose to sit inside in the cooler atmosphere. We selected our food from a well stocked fridge, we chose a ham & coleslaw sandwich £3.50 and a BLT sandwich £4.95, from the Marks and Spencer range. Took the food to the counter to order our drinks and to pay.We ordered  two flat whites which were £3.35 each. One of the coffees was free thanks to sufficient number of reward points The member of staff that served us, Ellie, was both friendly and helpful, she provided us with plates and cutlery for the food and also sorted out the free coffee, all done in a chirpy and polite manner. Flavoursome coffee, tasty fresh sandwiches with friendly helpful staff all in clean well maintained surroundings, can't go wrong.

Staff not very friendly. Had to ask to have table wiped. Slow service as not enough staff. Toilets dirty and no toilet roll. Empty hand sanitiser by entrance door. Cinnamon roll dry. Coffee was lovely though

Would NOT recommend wasting your money here…staff are useless and ignorant, received my coffee, may as-well have ordered a cup of milk, didn’t bother taking it back as they take about half an hour to make one small coffee…

Always use Costa if I'm out and about. Coffee is really good. Staff are always great.

The staff are absolutely lovely. I go there every day and the coffee's consistently good, they're very welcoming and recognise their regular customers.

1 item wrong delivery driver picked up from another store before delivery so toasties were very chewy. I like Costa but getting it delivered, I think I'll be avoiding from here on.

Forgot the sandwich just a complete ball ache as it takes days to sort things through just eat, absolutely fuming about the sandwich
