The food was very good - an excellent showcase of high quality local ingredients. As you would expect, the portion sizes are very small for a fine dining experience but we expected them to get somewhat bigger as you go down the menu towards the last couple of dishes. This was not the case. We didn’t leave hungry but we weren’t full. For the price, you would expect to receive somewhat more. The Bluefin Tuna with mint on the 12th of Oct was disappointing on taste. Nice experience but not the sort where you would return without hesitation.

From the minute we in, the welcome was so very warm and friendly without any grandeur. The food, I regret I cannot describe my vocabulary has not got the just word of superlative to describe the menu. Taste, presentation, the complete visit was such a pleasure, I would love to come back and do it all over again. Rest me to leave a Comment to the staff. Their sense of humour and rapport with us at the table was at times hilarious but still very professional able to explain the next course in fine detail. We have a special respect for Janni who is a volunteer RNLI launcher. Thank you all for making this a special lunch very special.

Very underwhelming. My wife and I are huge seafood lovers, we thought outlaw new road would be right up our street. However, we left disappointed with the food. Sure the emphasis is on the seafood, but to have 2 thin slices of beetroot, 3 baby cherry tomatoes, half an olive and a teaspoon of squash in 8 courses was measly. Most seafood doesn’t need much with being so delicate in flavour, sadly 3 of the 8 were totally spoilt with having pickled shallots covering them. I’ve never eaten lobster and not been able to taste the juicy sweet meat, until I ate here. You guessed it, covered with shallots. I had to ask the waitress if anymore courses were in fact going to have shallots on as that’s all I could taste in my mouth. The worst course was poached tuna in a herb infused oil. Talk about ruin something, it looked like something out of a tin, and sadly just tasted of herb oil. It could have been anything I was eating, and guess what, covered with some shallots. Also the total lack of carbs/veg meant despite paying £175 each we came out hungry. On the plus, staff were lovely, the room was nice and the view lovely. Would I return, sadly not. I’ve been to many far better Michelin restaurants, that have provided a real experience, more beautiful decorated creations for a lot less. £175 is only £5 less than a 4 course silver service dinner at the Ritz.

Nestled within the picturesque village of Port Isaac, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. From the moment you step in, you are greeted by a wonderfully friendly and welcoming team that sets the tone for an exquisite dining experience. The attention to every detail is impeccable, from the simple, but stylish decor to the quality of the food, which is nothing short of exceptional. The ambience is lovely, creating a perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. And the view? Simply gorgeous. Overlooking the cliffs and the sea, it adds a magical touch to the entire experience. The visit leaves you with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return soon. And return we will, without a doubt!

Was sooo looking forward to this but sadly let down. Had lobster to start and it doesn't say on the menu but this is a lobster salad, so it was cold. Possibly our fault for not asking first... Main was good, Turbot on the bone, but lacked a bit of wow factor. Veggies were just courgettes and salad leaves.... Maybe should have pushed the boat out and had the tasting menu. At those prices I expected more. Sadly will not be coming back. On a more positive note, the staff are great

Dinner seafood restaurant. With a disappointing end to the evening. For anyone who likes their seafood, this has to be on your bucket list. But it comes at a price of £175 a head for the tasting menu, which is the only choice. There's a handy car park at the back of the restaurant. As you step through the door, you are warmly greeted and shown upstairs to your table with stunning views. The food as you would expect, is fresh and locally sourced depending on daily supplies. You start with a couple of snacks. Followed by a Crab cider jelly pate served with bread to spread it on. Then, this is going to sound super critical, the next courses although intentionally are cold and raw. The scallop gazpacho and bass tartare were a little underwelming. After those dishes there was the Dover sole and Lobster & tomato salad. By this time we were wondering if they had forgot to put on the gas? Not to worry, there soon arrived a delightful peice of Bass with bread to soak up the Lobster sauce. The final fish dish was a steaming hot Monkfish coated in black pepper which was the star of the show. There was a palate cleanser of strawberry & elderflower granita and a chocolate dessert with cherries & kirsch. If we were to chose, Fish kitchen is the one to go for,it's easier on the pocket and just as good.

My partner is not a big fish fan due to its often very fishy flavour. There was not a single dish she tasted she did not devour the lot and even try some of mine. I love fish and I would say hands down this is the freshest and most imaginative I have had. The view out onto the bay, friendly staff and food to die for made the experience relaxing and very memorable.

Great service but food was mediocre. Scallop was great, but other was just disappointing, including desserts. Was expecting more flavor and more exciting uses of ingredients to bring the experience to another level. Cocktails were lacking balance as well. We came here to celebrate special occasion but it felt short, also given the higher price end, the experience was disappointing.

Absolutely insane dinner at Outlaw’s whilst on a break from London. The staff was so relaxed but efficient, each member made us feel so welcomed and chilled but also their knowledge of the food menu and wine was very impressive. Each dish was so delicious, I didn’t want it to end. I would like to take a vat of the mussel parfait home and spread it on bread for the rest of my life. Perfect amount of food, we certainly weren’t left hungry with the number of courses. Standard price for a 2 Michelin star, you definitely get what you pay for. Was surprised to see they don’t include service despite the service being so top notch so was very happy to add on 10% for the amazing staff. Loved to hear that Nathan himself was downstairs in the kitchen cooking our dinner which isn’t something you often get with a resterant of this level. Very happy customers !

This was our third time to a lunch at one of Nathan Outlaws restaurants, along with friends. Every time we have been we have tried completely different dishes (18 now) and we have loved them all. I’d suggest for 4 people to eat 18 dishes and not dislike one of them is an achievement ! Whilst the lunches might be a little expensive, the standard of food and service is excellent and we will certainly be back again soon.

What a brilliant restaurant Nathan Outlaw has here. Brilliant service from the time we walked in. So welcoming. The spectacular view over the sea is a wonderful setting for the meal to come. My wife had the Mackerel to start. Perfectly cooked with fennel, gherkin and caper salad with smoked pate. I hade the bluefin tuna fishcake with paprika mayonnaise and pickled veg. (See picture). Both incredibly delicious. For mains we had grey mullet and brill respectively. Who could have beloved that fish could be raised to such a level of taste? Fantastic. Thank you to all involved. Had the taster menu recently. These are my honest thoughts! Firstly, we absolutely loved the whole experience, are very glad we did it, and would recommend it to those that can afford such luxury eating. The welcome, organisation, friendliness & general 'niceness' of the staff is top drawer, making the whole experience really enjoyable. The menu is really exciting, and every course is delicious. We found the amount of food just about perfect over the whole evening, it took about 3 hours which flew by. My only real slight issue with the evening, is that everything is over-priced to a certain degree. Of course, price & value is a very personal thing, we're all different, but while we both loved the evening & have no regret about it at all, being honest - we have had better value for money, and equally good food, at other similar style taster menu meals. So for us, this was a once in a lifetime experience, which I would recommend others to try, if they can afford it.

Nice place with a good atmosphere. Service was excellent, attentive but not over the top. We were in a hurry so they brought all our food out really quickly. Disappointingly they had no fish other than cod and chips. The 'fish of the day' was just moules mariniere. I was expecting there would be other fresh fish. The portions are really small so you need to order two meals to make a regular main meal size, but it's not expensive there.

The 12 dishes are all small and exquisite. They are all seafood. The dishes are pickled and cooked slowly. There are different cooking methods such as roasting, grilling, freezing, and boiling, but I think the overall taste is too salty. The restaurant is on a hillside facing the sea, with large glass windows and open views. The sunset is beautiful! Plenty of space, you can choose your own seats The service attitude is friendly. There is no service except for serving food. No one pours water or clears the table. The serving pace is slow. There is only one round for dinner. The parking lot is next to the restaurant Overall it was a good dinner

A beautiful restaurant with sea views just outside picturesque Port Isaac. The staff were very engaging, not stuffy at all (thank God) and also helpful with directions, I get lost, alot! I was presented with a complimentary dish of fresh pate with bread, I forget which fish but it was delicious. I washed this down with a very refreshing apple and ginger non-alcoholic drink. I wasn't too hungry as my hotel's breakfast was huge, therefore I opted for the lobster risotto starter as my main. The presentation was beautiful. The texture and cooking of the lobster was perfect. The taste, amazing. I could easily taste the freshness of the lobster and all the fresh ingredients. The risotto was also cooked beautifully. I would definitely return for more.

Wow. Wow. The views of tintagel. The ESP of staff to greet you outside as you arrive. The menu prepared daily with each fisherman or boat named that caught your catch today. The personalised wine pairing. None of this is as good as the mackerel we ate, the lobster risotto with orange and basil... Or the best main I have had for years... Turbot with mint and hollandaise. Wonderful! The service is intimate and informal and the people who work there are clearly in love with their craft.

An unforgettable seafood culinary experience. My fiance and I dined here for dinner only two days after eating at Outlaw's other Michelin restaurant in Port Isaac (also amazing!) so had a very high bar to surpass. The staff were outstanding from our welcome to the attentive service and knowledge of the dishes. We were also given complimentary champagne as we were celebrating our engagement - a really nice touch. The restaurant has amazing views over the coast so id recommend sitting upstairs and booking an earlier reservation to get a choice of table. The seafood tasting menu was sublime, a true appreciation of quality, locally sourced produce which was completely different to the Fish Kitchen set menu (which was one of our concerns having only dined there a few days earlier!). Special shout outs to the baked brill and grilled turbot dishes - absolutely divine. If you are serious about great seafood then you cannot pass up an opportunity to eat here! 6*s if i could.

Giving 5* as I understand the detriment lower ratings can have on a business. Want to leave some feedback nonetheless, came here over Easter, Food was good but to be honest I wasn’t massively impressed for what you’re paying. I’d say the fish was a bit too salty, bit too buttery- maybe a bit more care into ratios & everything would have been better. Service was ok, and surprising considering the tip option is entirely variable. Would love to see more of a champagne selection (aside from Camel Valley) Negroni was great!

My husband and I were treated to the tasting menu by a family member. It had been a dream of mine to visit one of Nathan’s restaurants for a while. The experience was nothing short of perfect, the view from the restaurant is simply stunning. We were lucky to have the most popular table, but I honestly don’t think anyone would be disappointed by the view, no matter where you sit. I think it’s natural to feel anxious in a Michelin restaurant if it’s not something you do often, however Anna and Damon couldn’t have made us feel more relaxed. It was great chatting to them both and it felt like they were interested in us as people - it wasn’t a transactional service at all. The food is simply outstanding, I could attempt to comment on every course but I won’t, because it doesn’t need any further explanation. If you’re questioning whether to go here, stop right now and just book a table. It’ll be one of the best things you ever do in your lifetime.

What can I say… a faultless experience. Literally perfect - the dishes, the service (from our Capetonian head of house, who knew everything about the dishes and the ingredients), the wine (including a wonderful Sancerre and an amazing Cornish dessert wine), the dramatic view across the bay, the artwork… everything was meticulously considered and yet the atmosphere was relaxed and informal: it was like being welcomed into their home. But the food - oh wow - each dish was delicious and a delicate taste experience - from the cured monkfish and the dover sole to the lobster bisque, the lobster salad and the John Dory and the wonderful raspberry granita and chocolate “bomb” - it was a taste sensation. 100% recommend.

We decided to opt for the New Road establishment rather than the central Kitchen one because of the views. Depending on what you’re after the two do offer slightly something different, New Road being a little less rustic in a way. The whole seating was a very relaxed and casual affair. We went for the 7 course taster menu each and didn’t regret it. It is refreshing to have a taster menu that is all seafood focused, and oh boy it was delightful. If you are visiting Cornwall, whether it’s north or south, I highly recommend making a trip out to Port Isaac to try one of the two Outlaw’s restaurants. My only tip is that the parking near the restaurant is small and can fill up very quickly. You’re better off parking at the main car park on the outskirts which is a short 15 minute walk into the Port.

What a great restaurant in the heart of Falmouth Cornwall. We've ordered a mixed grill from the menu and the meat was so tender and nicely marinated that it would melt in your mouth. One other thing was their homemade yogurt, which I have fallen in love with the unique taste as it reminds me of my childhood back home and my grandma's home-made yogurt. I'm going back there again to order some more of that amazing yogurt 😋 😍 👌🏼

We booked this restaurant for a birthday and it made our evening. The staff, decor and food gave off a professional vibe, everything worked, no one was fumbling, the staff were perfect and the food was tremendous with both lots of different choices, a wonderful flavour and a great selection of fresh fish. What I really liked. No salt and pepper on the table, no service charge, no option to tip. This restaurant knows what they're doing and they're excellent at it. 10/10. Can't recommend enough.
