Not as good as it used to be, rubbery hard eggs and cheap ketchup disguised in a Heinz Bottle, and confused staff, worth a try not again

Popped in for breakfast when we were passing through. The vegetarian breakfast is a good size. The black pudding, and local hogs pudding were very tasty. It was busy when we popped in, but the owner found a table for 4 of us. There were plenty of people from the local industrial estate popping in for food also.

Went hear with the lads from work, everyone of us loved our breakfast, I would definitely recommend it to anymone

Been a regular customer here for years. decided to go for lunch with the Mrs and baby. Café closes at 3 pm and they would not serve past 2 pm. Well done on losing a customer. Food has always been average anyway, but it’s just convenient.

Convenient location, plenty of parking and a warm welcome. The President Breakfast was bang on point. Highly recommended 👌🏻

Went to Sylvs for the first time last week. Great breakfast at a good price! Clearly a popular place with locals and truckers. Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly!

The service and food were all to perfection. Travelled a long way to meet some friends but well with the journey. Well done and will come again

Visited this venue whilst on holiday in the area. Very nice food and the lady that served me was very friendly and obliging. Atmosphere was good and there was plenty of seating inside and out. Would not hesitate to recommend.

A bit like a truckstop diner, service was a bit slow and food was just ok.

Went to Damerells bike night and decided to go to Sylvs diner for a bacon butty, went and sat in back seats after ordering our food, as no seats outside, no body stopped us and no signs to say this area is closed, after serving two others with their burgers who was sat with us, a very rude lady came out of the kitchen stormed up to us and rudely told us "this area Is closed, that's why there are no chairs out now we have to clean it again" and then stormed off we were then greeted by bad looks from the staff as they went in and out. Really was there any need for this behaviour? Put signs up if you don't want people to sit down inside, close if you don't want a business.

They do a good range of burgers. Well priced and staff are always cheerful and helpful.

Filled a gap and took food away, lively cup of coffee and staff friendly.

Great little place, always busy! Constant take away orders being collected and there were only 2 tables available when we arrived. A busy place should tell you something!!! Good honest service and quick too. Bottomless tea which is great, we had the large breakfast and it was big! They do a monster too...... Buttered toast to mop up the last on the plate. Loads of parking and right next to Cornwall's biggest motorbike outlet. Chapter 1 diner.

Staying locally and seen this place on Google and came to give the breakfast a try, definitely wasn't disappointed, will be returning before the long journey home.

Cracking breakfasts and even Omelettes for us carb free folks, set up for the day now! Awesome customer service too, above and beyond attention to detail.

First visit was after a night away in our Vans.. not wanting to bother cooking we popped into Sylv’s .. We suspected the girl on the counter was new as we were a group of 7 and she was getting a bit flustered, although she was very pleasant throughout, but once we put her at ease she soon had our orders. I’m a big eater and had the biggest breakfast and boy it was huge ! I actually left a few sausages and hash browns.. it beat me ! Real nice good and not dripping in grease like some diners we’ve been to. Well recommended

It was good, small mugs of tea though when water is cheap, but the bacon roll was freshly cooked and piping hot. So not all bad

as I walked in there was awkward atmosphere not knowing what was expected of myself wanting to sit down and order a breakfast. Member of staff asking what we wanted to order before seeing the menu anywhere. After sitting down with the menu deciding what I wanted to order another member of staff could be the manager, shouting being very rude to waitress saying ‘why are people sitting down without making a order?! We don’t do table service’ the comment was very rude to the staff and also the customers that was sat down looking at the menu. After hearing this comment I left the establishment feeling very offended. If you want things done a certain way in your business then you should make it clear to your customer what you would like them to do instead of guessing the whole time…

Friendly service and good value massive breakfasts. One star removed for not the greatest of quality sausages, but everything was cooked to perfection and they let us sit in with our dog! Super little place and I’m so glad we stopped off.

Pleasant simple cafe with good range of hot food to eat in or takeaway: cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, hot drinks. Friendly staff. Customer toilet is a Portaloo outside.

Perfect breakfast. It was a first time visit for us, choice was ample (we chose 3 different combinations from the menu) and all freshly cooked. Staff are pleasant and hygiene was the best I've seen. Highly recommend and will be back again ourselves.

Great place for good quality food at very reasonable prices. My wife and I called in here on a 30 mile cycle ride today(and a sneaky peek at Damerells motorcycles) Why queue at certain fast food outlets nearby when you can get far better food here and great humour with the staff. Good Covid 19 precautions in place. 5 stars deservedly given.

Being a veteran of many a fried breakfast in my 15 years as a truck driver this has to be in my top 3. Clean premises friendly staff really good food.

Excellent food and extremely friendly staff, would recommend to anyone who's passing, we have a bike night there every Thursday and the food is top rate, and you dont have to wait very long for it, they cater for between 100-200 bikers on a Thursday evening, and theres never been any complaibts Also the food is extremely well priced for the selection and quantity they have. 10/10 Sylvia, Karl and staff

This was only our first visit, but the bottomless got drink will keep us coming back year after year. The wooden spoons as table numbers are a great idea - if only these were used everywhere.

Loved my visit. Lovely place to spend time. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The menu is good and great value for money. The staff are friendly. I had a breakfast there and for 8 quid it was huge and kept me full for most of the day. The ingredients are good quality and cooked to perfection. I love decor in the place, it had a retro vibe without being too old fashioned. I will have to go back again and try out other things on the menu.
