Recently stayed in Hayle and visited Mr B’s on two occasions, the first was later in the day closer to closing time, and certainly felt rushed by the team behind the counter, the next day however a completely different service. That said the ice cream is amazing, the bubble waffles are fantastic. Would 100% go back!

I've been going to Mr Bs since 2009 near to when it opened as a small shop in foundry. I've never had a complaint, the ice cream has always been amazing and the service good too. I hate leaving bad reviews which is why I picked 3 stars. I went today to grab a coffee and a half waffle. I was first of all disappointed as the first waffle I recieved had a very minimal amount of Nutella, and minus the banana I had requested. Then as I cut in to it and took a bite I realised it was frozen inside. I was disappointed as I thought they were made fresh. However I decided not to make a fuss and just went back to ask for it to be redone as it was frozen, didn't complain about the missing banana or lack of Nutella. The lady was nice enough and did it again. This time it was warm, however it was probably the worst waffle I've ever tasted. It was dry, stodgy, and very bland. It was not sweet at all. I couldn't even eat it and ended up throwing it away. Such a shame as its a nice shop with lots of choice, but definitely AVOID the normal waffles because they are not good 🤣 stick to ice cream!

Perfect ice-cream and we ended up visiting twice during our stay. The service is friendly and the shop spotless and there are some seating areas. The prices are good and the flavours and texture superb. I had a special which was Salted Chocolate and this is one of the best ice-creams I have ever tasted. My wife loved her lemon and ginger. Why a four ? They had run out of the salted chocolate by my next visit so its a five really !

Fantastic! Last year it won the prize for best ice cream in Cornwall. I know why. Tastes lovely, great portions and great value. The staff are very friendly and cheerful. Sorry, St. Ives but I know where I'm gonna get my ice cream from now!

They have the best ice cream in town. They also have the best value with really large scoops. We really enjoyed it and would go back again.

We are regulars here, well was until today. My daughter had a double ice cream, which wasnt correctly pushed on to the cone. My daughter didnt even make it out of the shop before both scoops of ice cream had completely come of the top, before she had even managed to lick it due to it being placed on top of the cone. I was then told I had to buy another even though it wasnt even out the shop and was clearly a staffing issue due to all our ice creams being poor today. They then used the same cone with less ice cream in my second paid ice cream. Overall safe to say it will probably be a last for us after the customer service which is sad as we loved it here and came here twice weekly.

Often come here to Mr B’s. Definitely one of the best ice cream parlours in Cornwall. Gorgeous flavours, always something new to try and always a huge selection. You can’t beat it.

We came here for a sweet treat during our holiday in the area. There was a big selection of ice cream and the scoops were very generous. All ice cream was homemade and delicious. Such a lovely treat, we will look forward to returning soon.

After a search of the local area for ice cream after a fun day out at the beach, we happened across Mr B's. After looking at the website we expected hundreds of artisan flavours, but there was only about 10 different flavours available when we went in. My initial impression was that the flavours were intended to be more 'fun' than artisan. (Maybe intended to attract the teen schoolgirls popping in for an ice cream on the way home from school?) They didn't look like they were particularly made with real food and fruit ingredients (the flavours included "Bubblegum" and "Squishy"???!) but we managed to choose some very delicious flavours for our ice creams anyway. The portions were very generous in huge waffle cones, and a choice of several different cone types. My husband had a coffee icecream and I had a mix of chocolate and apple crumble icecream. The chocolate was perfect - creamy, not overly sweet, not too strong or dark, like a frozen rich creamy mousse. The sole crumble was a creamy velvety vanilla with bits of tinned apple cubes and some crunchy bits, very nice and took about half an hour to finish it was so big! I would have liked a real strawberry, lemon, fudge, maple pecan, ginger or salted caramel icecream option to choose from. They had lychee and black cherry though. They also sell a small variety of fudge and brownies. I chose a maple and pecan fudge, which didn't taste of maple syrup (just vaguely caramelly) and had hardly any pecans. I would like to try out the other varieties of icecream when they change over the flavours again as I did enjoy my icecream.

Tasty ice cream at a reasonable price. The shop always has a queue forming outside and I was intrigued at this. The ice cream definitely did not disappoint.

We visited today and was very disappointed. Had the cherry ripple which didn’t have any cherries in it and was very bland. Topped with a rude guy serving who wouldn’t let my son have one of the cherries on the top. We will not be visiting again. Way too expensive for very poor ice cream.

First time we discovered this ice cream parlour and it's now a firm family favourite pit stop. My daughter claims that it's the best chocolate ice cream she has ever had, and she's had many! Sad that it closes at 5pm, as we could have gone more times if we kept an eye on the time. Lots of different flavours and I am gutted I didn't get to try their turkish delight flavour.....we'll aim to correct this on our next holiday to Hayle.

My partner visited here regularly as a child so we had to go back and check it out. The staff were friendly and the products were reasonably priced. They had plenty of variety and there was at least 2 vegan/dairy free options on both occasions we visited. The ice cream it’s self was very tasty.

Stopped here for a quick ice cream stop wilts on Hayle. There was lots of flavours and the ice cream was delicious, definitely give this place a try

If your in the area this is a must visit. The service and the ice cream was top notch. Then we noticed they did home made fudge, it’s out of this world. They even sell a dog biscuit dessert and doggy ice cream.

Cannot recommed this enough absolutly gorgous, generous portions and the ice cream is to die for. We took ours away but there is facilities to eat in, tjey also do diary free too.

We stopped here unexpectedly on a Sunday whilst traveling through hayle and we had a very tasty ice cream which was all made on site. The prices are very reasonable and the staff were very helpful.

Mr B's Ice cream is a local secret waiting to be discovered! They have a few standard flavours but many of their flavours are new and innovative - be prepared to be surprised! Ok the kiddies 'Unicorn' flavour is not to my taste but my granddaugher loves it! I cannot resist their Cherry flavour - it is not a watery or overly sweet pale pink paste - oh no! This has great big chunks of cherry and is just sweet enough. My daughter-in-law loves their flavour based on her favourite chocolates and my son loves their mango sorbet. Decorated in a modern crossed with 1950s ice cream colours the parlour is very comfy to sit in - both of them (there is one each end of Hayle) are small but there is seating outside. Come and find out what else Hayle has to offer!!

Very popular had to queue for a long while on a hot day. Was a bit disappointing when it got to choosing flavours as they were all a bit samey.

We were staying just up the road from Mr B's so obviously had to pop in now and again for ice cream.There are two shops in Hayle, not sure if they do different flavours in each as we only used the one. The ice cream is amazing with a good amount of different flavours, my favourite was the Irish whiskey one, big thumbs up for that. Definitely worth trying.

You have to go, never mind the queue, just wait patiently and you will be rewarded with the best ice cream ever. Can't chose a favourite as I have loved everyone so far

This is a lovely little ice cream parlour with great choice of flavours! Mint chocolate chip is my favourite. The ice cream parlour looks great and looks lovely and clean.

A wee treat and it was delicious what a selection we all tried each others. One of the best tasting ice creams in Cornwall. Not the cheapest but all good quality ice cream. Is there always a queue maybe this just says it all.

We could not pass the ice cream parlour until the children had tried different flavours. They loved them and of course the adults had to check they were ok also!

There is one question that I've always wanted to ask. Where do they come up with such amazing ideas and make the flavours work so well? Hot Cross Bun, Malteser, Jaffa Cake and even Unicorn at one point! My family and I love it and is always the highlight of the day!

Possibly a risky comment as Cornish ice cream wherever it's from seems pretty special. the best favourite is was which we think the lady said was new? A white chocolate and raspberry????? ripple. Regardless it was delicious, the white chocolate rather than simply being a taste was clearly distinguishable within the scoop and tasted amazing.I had Jaffa Cake which was Lovely and.pineapple sorbet which was a nice flavour but not one id choose before others if visIting again. Im sure im not alone by wishing every flavour Mr B's produces was in their parlours all the time but space, practicality andcost might have something to do with it. UWe will be back

Our daughter Evie will happily eat ice cream every day, even if its snowing, reckons Mr B's is the best ice cream she's ever had, and she has had a lot !!

This place is great. The young lady Tegan who served us was very happy and Polite, makes a nice change to see a smile. The Wild Cherry Ice Cream was out of this world. Hoping to visit again before we go home.

The ice cream here was more like gelato than Cornish but very good nonetheless. I was a little disappointed I couldn't get a Knickerbocker Glory but instead was offered a Nut Sundae which was very good. The tables and chairs were a bit basic but the service was friendly and dogs were allowed which is always a plus for us.

Found this place towards the end of my 2 week stay, had to visit both shops as the range of products not in both shops & so GLAD I did. The staff are brilliant & let you have a little taste, looking forward to my next holiday to visit more often & enjoy the other flavours. I think that this place has the possibility to grow into something special, asked the owner what he was making & even got to taste the latest batch!

Really good ice cream, lots of flavours to choose between. I had wild cherry 🍒 which was very good, plenty of cherry in it. Hubby likes rocky road and he said this was one of the best he had had.

We have had Mr B's Ice Cream several times and it is well worth a visit. It's slightly different to the normally creamy Cornish Ice Cream as is more like an sorbet style ice. Nevertheless; it's delicious and reasonably priced.The staff are friendly and there is parking outside of the shop

We have visited Mr B's twice this week and the selection of ice creams changes regularly so always worth a revisit. There is a nice selection of flavours, some quite interesting, lime and ginger cheesecake tasted better than it looked. Pretty much the best freshly made ice cream you will find. Definitely worth a couple of visits.

Had loads of ice cream over our holiday and Mr B's was the best. The had a Unicorn flavour which was really good.

I drove 8 miles from Tavernier knowing I would barely make 9pm. At 9:04 I arrived and was told, "closed" at the door window. There were three people sitting and standing inside eating and you couldn't take my money and hand me an ice cream. I see such poor hospitality in the Keyes.BTW, this is my fifth review and first negative. What a shame.

Hemos probado 3 diferentes de hielo - heladerías en cornwall tan lejos y este es el más sabroso de lejos (realmente lejos! Y el más asequible). El servicio es amable y se aceptan tarjetas de crédito, teníamos unicorn y helado, estos nos banofee ediciones limitadas pero tan bueno! ! Los amantes de regaliz también es un delicioso sabor de regaliz blacurrant edición limitada (probablemente) te encantará!

Primera visita desde negocios tomada. Helado tan bueno. Tuve merinque limón, muy agradable. Mi única pega para hacer fue la falta de guantes, mientras sirve helados y conos de manipulación y aunque la señorita no fudge tenerlas en desempacar conos. Debo añadir que la tienda es muy, muy limpio.

Ordered Knickerbockerglory expecting chocolate sauce,cream,ice cream,brownies....got a big glass of jelly with tinned fruit cocktail inside and two dollops of ice cream on top. Was going to complain but lady and girl behind till were disorganized and ditzy so didn't bother. Big thumbs down for a four pound fifty glass of jelly and old tinned fruit.
