The bakery arranged a large order of pasties for our wedding. They leant us freezer boxes for transportation and were extremely helpful with arranging pick up times. Worst pasty I've had in a long while, which is saying a lot. Seen other reviews about getting food poisoning and I'm honestly not surprised. Employers also clearly don't care about their staff. Worth avoiding. (Edit below) The original response from the owner has been edited as I think they realised how unprofessional it was. As for being able to see other reviews I've left, my settings were still on default so I've changed that in the name of transparency. If you're still reading this as a prospective customer, think twice about buying from a bakery that engages in online arguing with a customer for the crime of being dissatisfied 😂

Absolutely delicious bakery located at the top of the village near to the main church and the St. Agnes Hotel in Churchtown, this bakery is the very best! You can smell the freshly baked goods all the way down the street and its delightful. Wonderful selection of pasties, sausage rolls, breads, cakes, etc. I got the vegan garlic sausage roll, which was absolutely delicious. The pastry was ridiculously crispy flaky and light, fresh doughnuts (raspberry and chocolate), which tasted like nothing I've ever eaten before! So light & fluffy & jam packed( pardon the pun) with loads of filling which just oozed out with each bite! They also sell local organic honey, which is divine! A large sourdough loaf and a coffee! Which was the best I had in the village. Prices are very reasonable and they also have non dairy milk (oat and soya) and they sell ice creams, smoothies etc. There were people queueing up, which is always a good sign! The girls in the bakery were all so very lovely friendly kind and helpful 😊 I can't wait to go back!

It was mid afternoon, so bought some carrot cake and doughnuts as a treat, to take back to our accommodation to enjoy with the rest of the family. Doughnuts - fluffy, with right proportion of jam to dough Carrot cake - perfect consistency (sometimes carrot cake can be oily or dry …. this was simply perfect) Delights were so tasty, we returned the next day and bought cinnamon buns, apple turnovers and almond croissants. So naughty …. But oh so nice! Staff friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Customer service terrible. Meat was next to the vegan food. All other bakeries I’ve been too have separated the vegan from the meat. I asked and was told the pastry is saving it. 😳 I highly recommend finding somewhere else. I would give it a -10. Never buying from there again

Me and my mum are vegan, so we were a bit offended by the staff members attitude when we asked for the vegan pasties at the back since the others were close to the meat pasties (most other bakeries have a separate section for these), and the lady responded “well they are covered in pastry” in a snappy tone. She once again snapped after we asked about the price of the carrier bags, replying with “it does go to charity” in yet again a somewhat snappy tone. Even after all that, the pasties were a bit burnt and not up to it’s expected standard for customers. I understand that people have bad days, but being snappy to other people and dismissing somebody’s dietary preference is disrespectful

I have recently completed a pasty eating review of the twelve best pasties in Cornwall. These are establishments the length and breadth of the County that regularly appear in top reviews. So how did St Agnes bakery stand up against the competition……? Well i would say it was impossible to pick a clear winner from the twelve as margins were so fine. Let’s just say Cornwall is blessed with a small group of elite pasty makers of which St Agnes bakery is one of them. It all depends how hungry you are are and what the weather is like to split them.

Delicious pasties and sausage rolls. My mouth is watering thinking of them. On my first visit (yes, I went back a few times, which says everything you need to know) I thought it was a little pricey. However, on tasting the pasties and sausage rolls, I changed my mind. Excellent value. Clearly good quality ingredients used and they are HUGE. You wouldn’t need to eat anything else for quite a while. On reflection, just as well we don’t live locally. I would be switching to an elasticated waistband. Looking for somewhere different to meet up with some friends, were recommended The Square at Porthleven. Goodness we were not disappointed!! After a warm welcome we were shown to our table and presented with the menus. We were given a good amount of time to make our selections. Our starters included smoked salmon, mackerel pate, pickled cucumber and horseradish cream😋 also the leek and potato soup (with a yummy Welsh rarebit on the side), and the homemade bread with balsamic. Following these delectables were venison steak and amazing vegetables and sauce, and pork belly with crackling, hogs pudding and veg. It would’ve been rude not to have dessert so it was crème brûlée with shortbread biscuit, poached pear and apple and damson ice cream. All absolutely amazing, could not fault, and I hope to return next year!!

There’s a big difference between an establishment being dog tolerant and one that’s truly dog friendly and Duke Street Cafe is definitely the latter. So welcoming for dogs and humans, lovely coffee and kind staff. Thank you ❤️
