A lovely pub with lovely staff and great atmosphere food is just great as well. Good selection of real ales and non alcoholic drinks Small car park on frontage but street parking opposite and in free car park just a few hundred yards away over the bridge. Whilst here take a stroll and visit the church alongside the pub and the local park - ask pub for details - really lovely place all round Highly recommended

What a lovely pub. Ate here twice whilst holidaying for a week. Had cod and chips first time and a burger the 2nd time. The burger was homemade which is great to see and was delicious… Fish and chips was excellent too. Service was brilliant. As we always do is book a pub on our way down to Cornwall day before for a Sunday roast and it went down a treat...great value with reasonable portions and nice beer .really friendly staff who are quickly attentive even when very busy as Sunday was..pub is situated in a beautiful village not far from liskeard where we were staying ..liked it so much we went back midweek for another meal that didn't disappoint at all...recommissioned is the steak ale pie that was to die for...parking can be restricted but you'd be ok to park either local free car park or anywhere else suitable..this is indeed a lovely atmosphere pub well visit again no doubt in near future..cheers to everyone

My husband and I booked a table waited 55 minutes for the food then had he went to the bar to find out what was happening they said the kitchen was too hot to work in which caused a delay. When the food arrived my husbands fish dish was inedible grey and rubbery it looked uncooked this was changed and although he ate some of the second one as was starving he said it still was a terrible texture the fish did not look white a flakey. We were not offered dessert. Having lived locally for 6 years and been in the pub many times this was the most disgusting meal we have had served to us anywhere, obviously won’t be returning.

Great Birthday meal, have heard good things about this pub and finally got around to trying it for my birthday, staff were really friendly, we ordered drinks at the bar and the staff member said she’d bring them to the table for us. With lots of choice on the menu we settled on the pie of the day which was steak and kidney, it was delicious, big chunks of steak and tasty gravy served with chunky hot chips. Grandson had a children’s burger with cheese and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. Desserts looked delicious but we were too full from our meal. Great thing about this pub is they allow dogs too and even have a menu for them, my chocolate lab loved sitting there watching everyone with the occasional fuss from other customers. Would highly recommended and will definitely return.

We have eaten here a few times over the years after walks across the nearby moors or after a nearby cold water swim in the sea, and we have never been disappointed. After a relaxing weekend of stillness and getting back to nature in the beautiful Cornish countryside, come Sunday we wasn’t ready to go back home and cook. We booked our Sunday table the night before with no fuss. However, it is likely that as the season progresses, more advanced bookings would be prudent - to ensure you get a table. Set in the beautiful village of St Neot, the Inn is very popular and generally always busy. This establishment has a lovely atmosphere and the feel of a proper traditional cosy inn, with many of its original features and charm around the building. The staff here are very professional, friendly and welcoming. And, it’s dog friendly! There is a good selection of drinks. Although, a limited choice of whiskeys on offer. But, the pint of draught Dartmoor Legend is always well kept here. The menu is simple and with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options available. There is also some great meal deals on throughout the week worth checking out. We had the nut roast on this occasion and it was good pub food. Unfortunately, and in our opinion however, the side dish of vegetables to share between two was a little sparing. We have had beef on other occasions, and that has generally been cooked well. Oh, and their sticky toffee pudding is delicious! The pub has a lovely small terrace to the front that is south facing and catches the warmth of the sun perfectly. There is parking out to the front of the inn, but it is limited to around 6-no. vehicles. Otherwise, there is parking along the lane in either direction but again can be limited because of local resident parking and driveway entrances. Overall, even though this is a free house, it is more tailored towards being a restaurant than an actual inn, the food here is good hearty ‘pub grub’ food that is reasonably priced, and it is set in a beautiful traditional old Cornish inn that is full of character. We would recommend a visit!

Went for a family meal, and overall disappointed with the experience from this great pub. Menu was limited due to a busy day, I ordered the fish and chips, the portion was an average size seemed alot smaller than what we had seen being brought out to others, it had been kept warm for some time with the batter being soggy. All the others the food was edible but nothing special. Puds were expensive and some look like shop bought generic puddings.

First time here for a very long time and have to say VERY happy with the food and service. We had a Sunday roast, table service not carvery, and it was Bleddy lovely ! The meat was well cooked tender and plentiful and all the veg was cooked just right too, the cauliflower cheese was tasty and although the yorky puds were the frozen aunt Bessey type with 2 of them there’s no complaints. At £12 a head the roast was extremely good value when you weigh price vs quantity and quality. Drinks were not bad price either. Service was good with lovely pleasant staff, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, not fine dining but very good value and good quality for price.
