The London Inn in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Great Birthday meal, have heard good things about this pub and finally got around to trying it for my birthday, staff were really friendly, we ordered drinks at the bar and the staff member said she’d bring them to the table for us. With lots of choice on the menu we settled on the pie of the day which was steak and kidney, it was delicious, big chunks of steak and tasty gravy served with chunky hot chips. Grandson had a children’s burger with cheese and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. Desserts looked delicious but we were too full from our meal. Great thing about this pub is they allow dogs too and even have a menu for them, my chocolate lab loved sitting there watching everyone with the occasional fuss from other customers. Would highly recommended and will definitely return.

I’ve been here many times and each time I say I’m gonna write a review … so here goes . The food is amazing, plates are hot as is the food . I think we’ve almost had everything on the menu . We never been disappointed the food is so good , they also have a really good specials board . The staff are super friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, as are the locals that go there . Don’t hesitate to visit you won’t be disappointed. But, you must book a table as it does get busy especially during the holiday season . Full marks to Ryan & Rhiannon

Came here as St neot holds a few memories for me and brother so came back to have food at the London inn. All the staff were super friendly and polite. Food was outstanding and vibe was cosy and enjoyable.

Went for a Sunday lunch with family ! Good pub grub, very one left satisfied. And full, staff allways friendly, good spot for a beer in the summer , will be back

We have eaten here a few times over the years after walks across the nearby moors or after a nearby cold water swim in the sea, and we have never been disappointed. After a relaxing weekend of stillness and getting back to nature in the beautiful Cornish countryside, come Sunday we wasn’t ready to go back home and cook. We booked our Sunday table the night before with no fuss. However, it is likely that as the season progresses, more advanced bookings would be prudent - to ensure you get a table. Set in the beautiful village of St Neot, the Inn is very popular and generally always busy. This establishment has a lovely atmosphere and the feel of a proper traditional cosy inn, with many of its original features and charm around the building. The staff here are very professional, friendly and welcoming. And, it’s dog friendly! There is a good selection of drinks. Although, a limited choice of whiskeys on offer. But, the pint of draught Dartmoor Legend is always well kept here. The menu is simple and with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options available. There is also some great meal deals on throughout the week worth checking out. We had the nut roast on this occasion and it was good pub food. Unfortunately, and in our opinion however, the side dish of vegetables to share between two was a little sparing. We have had beef on other occasions, and that has generally been cooked well. Oh, and their sticky toffee pudding is delicious! The pub has a lovely small terrace to the front that is south facing and catches the warmth of the sun perfectly. There is parking out to the front of the inn, but it is limited to around 6-no. vehicles. Otherwise, there is parking along the lane in either direction but again can be limited because of local resident parking and driveway entrances. Overall, even though this is a free house, it is more tailored towards being a restaurant than an actual inn, the food here is good hearty ‘pub grub’ food that is reasonably priced, and it is set in a beautiful traditional old Cornish inn that is full of character. We would recommend a visit!

Absolutely delicious pie and great chips. My wife also enjoyed her scampi. The ale was excellent even if it was from Devon

This is my most favourite place in the whole wide world. The food is absolutely fantastic. The drinks are lovely and cold (unless you’re having a hot beverage) the glasses crystal clear. Nothing is too much trouble. The service is second to none…fantastic. All of the staff are genuinely caring and want you to have a lovely experience. We go regularly for Sunday lunch and it’s the best we have had. Thank you

Very nice bar well kept used by lots of locals

Sadly the food is not as good as a couple of years ago . The fish cakes seemed frozen . The mussels like shop bought nothing special . Food very disappointing. The pudding was nice . The staff and atmosphere was lovely. But food definitely not up to standard

Went for a family meal, and overall disappointed with the experience from this great pub. Menu was limited due to a busy day, I ordered the fish and chips, the portion was an average size seemed alot smaller than what we had seen being brought out to others, it had been kept warm for some time with the batter being soggy. All the others the food was edible but nothing special. Puds were expensive and some look like shop bought generic puddings.

Popped in for a pint whilst in St. Noet. Greeted by friendly staff on arrival. We had already eaten so just had drinks. Cosy, fire on, friendly atmosphere. Lots of locals which says a lot. We will return.

Great local pub 🍻 Reasonable prices for a good quality pub food. My husband did enjoy the meat pie 🥧 a lot. Fish was great for the fish and chips. Good choice of drinks. Friendly and professional service. Dog friendly. They open for lunch and for dinner times. Definitely recommend this place

Lovely bear in a lovely, quaint and quinticenssially English country village. Personally, I'd call it a restaurant /bar rather than an Inn, but that's what most places are these days.. Lovely atmospherics. Do check the opening times carefully before visiting though as they have rather bespoke opening times....

Great pub, lovely atmosphere , excellent service. Called in a couple of times for a drink and had really nice meal on Saturday evening.Despite it being really busy and a staff member being unwell and going home the service was faultless. My husband had London burger and said it was one of the best burgers he had ever eaten. All food really good especially raspberry and pistachio semifrodo which was delicious. Very dog friendly and our dog enjoyed the ice cream off the doggy menu. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Excellent food,my only criticism was that not enough vegetables,we had to share a small dish between three of us

First time here for a very long time and have to say VERY happy with the food and service. We had a Sunday roast, table service not carvery, and it was Bleddy lovely ! The meat was well cooked tender and plentiful and all the veg was cooked just right too, the cauliflower cheese was tasty and although the yorky puds were the frozen aunt Bessey type with 2 of them there’s no complaints. At £12 a head the roast was extremely good value when you weigh price vs quantity and quality. Drinks were not bad price either. Service was good with lovely pleasant staff, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, not fine dining but very good value and good quality for price.

I arrived in the evening with my hoomans. We were all greeted by a lovely lady at the bar who made a big fuss of me and my dad while my hoomans got a drink . We were shown to a table and the lady pointed out the special doggie menu . I had sausage and veg while my dad had chicken and veg . It was delicious. We then both had Bonio flavour icecream for dessert . I think this is THE BEST DOG FRIENDLY PUB IN THE AREA.

The London Inn is a very welcoming village inn looking after locals and visitors alike. Staying locally in a cottage had several dinners here during the week All were traditional pub fare and very very good, together with nice local beers and excellent service - what more can be asked? Hope to be back soon.

What a great pub serving great food and beverages. Full of atmosphere and a lovely welcome on arrival . Shown to our table for six and the waitress explained the menu including special board. Five of the group had the Sunday Roast (2 x Pork, 1 x Turkey, 1 x Beef and 1x Nut Roast) and the sixth member of the group had the Liver, Bacon and Onions. All our meals were fantastic very tasty and good portions. Three of the party also had desserts which again were delicious. Can not fault the waiting staff all very attentive, polite and helpful. We will be definitely returning soon and can not recommend this pub enough keep up the good work one and all.

Great meal and beer, just let down by an under done steak. The issue was quickly resolved.

Was on holiday and used to pop into this pub each evening as the local people made us feel very welcome.

My husband and I popped in for lunch last week (halfway through a long cycle) we were very thirsty and extremely hungry… thankfully, although it was just gone 2pm (we didn’t realise they had actually finished serving food) the lovely chef said yes to our order. Absolutely wonderful fish and chips…well worth the wait. Proper Pub, nice staff and great food. I’m going to give the London Inn a BIG thumbs up 👍🏼

What a great find! Friendly professional service and great food. We were tempted to have starters but decided to stick to the main course. We had the seafood basket (a special), cold meat salad and a steak and red wine pie. All of the dishes were very tasty and we couldn't fault a thing. No room left for dessert 🥴 Well done to everyone involved 👏

Whilst on holiday and nearby I visited this pub for Sunday lunch. I was not at all disappointed. The food was like home-cooked. I actually had a small plate which was plenty and allowed me to have a traditional dessert. The staff here are exceptionally friendly. I intend to visit again this coming week. Also they serve an excellent Guinness. The bar is dog friendly.

Went to The London Inn at St Neots today, the food, ambiance and staff were all excellent, three of us had the Sunday roast which was superb and one had the scampi and chips which was also excellent. Great traditional village pub, well worth a visit

Great food and friendly service. The steak and mushroom pie was incredible so we went back the following day and unfortunately they had none left, so I got the beef burger instead which was also incredible. Best burger I've had in ages. Shame we weren't staying in the area longer or I would've gone back more.

Lovely pub with good food options at a fair price. Lost a star as my food was not hot. Worth a visit but beware not much parking.

Lovely village pub serving great food and very friendly service

2 of us really really enjoyed our meals of steak & mushroom pie, but 3 sadly didn’t enjoy their meals as much. Can’t please everyone ( salad with the prawns was too wet with dressing, & the prawns didn’t taste too garlicky without their shells on, I was told the steak wasn’t rare as asked & the lasagne wasn’t the best) the staff were lovely & chips were good. Hopefully another visit would be different. Beautiful building, lovely atmosphere, Very dog friendly.

Nice old pub with friendly staff. Seems well used by locals and holiday makers. But would personally have preferred some'lighter' meals (eg. salads )

Service was a bit forgetful. Order had two mistakes. Once I was overcharged and rectified straight away by the manager, the second was that the dessert were mixed up , and we just gave up. It's such a shame as the mains were great. Desserts need to be brought up to the same standard as the mains.

An amazing, traditional pub! Friendly staff and seriously good, home cooked food. I ordered the Sunday roast, the potatoes and gravy were better than mine!! My Husband, Mr B, ordered the cold beef platter from the specials board. We literally inhaled our food. We normally dont have pudding, however I could not resist the Lemon Roulard with Cornish iceceam. Mr. B had Malteser Sundae. Delicious.

Such a nice pub in the beautiful village of St Neot, situated next to the church. Parking available in front of it, but not for many cars. Dog and child friendly. The food is good. The roast has a generous amount of meat.

St Neot itself is just a lovely little village where I have lived nearby most of my life. The London Inn has always had a fine reputation for food and their Sunday Roast is recommended. I am a member of a skittles league team so was the reason for my visit. We are always welcomed and after our game we get provided with a sandwich platter which is lovely. A great place.

Highly recommended had there chicken burger on Sunday it was amazing great with flavours, good service even for a very busy Sunday. All service was with a smile even though they were very busy. Will be back and recommending to people

They couldn't go out of their way enough for us and the London Burger was AMAZING! Not many veggie options on the menu though... Great atmosphere, good music, full of locals - that can only be a good sign! Will go again and again.

What a wonderful experience great hospitality and the beers good

Fantastic food and very friendly staff. Very impressed with their service once we got in ! There were adequate seating and it appeared to be a place where customers are happy and chatty ! Parking was bit of a struggle and came across one rudest resident lady during the process of finding a parking space. That really left us with a negative feeling about the village though! Full marks to the restaurant!

Just had amazing food, fish pie and curry were tasty and perfect size. Lovely desserts too. Service was friendly and efficient, best we have had anywhere on our holiday and we wish we had found this place sooner as we would have come here every night.

Such a lovely pub! We visited Cornwall from Essex this week and ate at the London Inn 4 times within our 1 week! We were made to feel so welcome, the food was amazing and it is very dog friendly too with a doggy menu! Set in a beautiful village with lovely , hardworking staff and a fab chef. So glad we found it! We enjoyed all our meals and the pub is beautiful. Thank you for helping to make our week away special. 💕 Emma, Tris, Isabella, Oliver, Carol, John and Louie the dalmatian 🐾

Called in for lunch with the wife kiddies and mother in law. Warm welcome, such friendly staff. Highly recommended. Really good pub grub. All left full, if passing again will definitely go back.

This has to be the most friendly, welcoming pub I’ve ever had the pleasure of walking into! The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming people, and both me and my dog were made to feel very at home. The food is top class, absolutely delicious! And there’s even a dog menu - a first for me! I’ll be back for sure.

Astonishingly good, especially for such a small town/village. Fantastic food, including multiple vegan options and the staff went above and beyond to give us choices that we'd like. I seriously recommend this place - wow. Don't miss out.
