Absolutely criminal behavior by our planning department and councillors who obviously felt they didn't get a big enough back hand. A sad loss to everyone who ever visited.

Can’t fault this place. Lovely little place with animals. Friendly people and pizzas are perfect. Way better than American food chains.

This is a great place with great local food and a unique atmosphere. Highly recommended the wood fired pizzas and the puddings! Especially nice to wait outside on a warm summers day. I believe the council have been a pain in the backside for a while and has stopped them expanding.

Really good pizza, the shop now takes card payment, so we'll be visiting a lot more :) They also have great food staters, garlic bread, olives, etc The shop also sells earrings, picture frames, from local creators as well as vegetables and eggs, also fresh and local. Lots of outdoor seating as well as a few indoor tables. Well worth a visit if you're passing on the A38 Still a great place and even more desserts too! Still as awesome as ever!

Lovely little place with great food. We had lamb and haloumi Gyros with rosemary fries and the lamb burger Milano with fries. All tasted really good. And with a nice open setting of farmland.

Just stopped bye whilst out and about. Totally unplanned stop but decided to have lunch at this out of the way place, turned out to be a great stop off and the best pizza I've had for a very long time, cooked on a wood fired pizza oven, a very unusual rural setting for a pizza and Mediterranean restaurant/cafe It's a very laid back joint and food comes served in a box with wooden cutlery etc very eco based place if you're looking to keep Greta happy, can't fault the food, service and setting..Highly recommend man...lol. The guy that posted 4 days ago giving 1 star ago should open his eyes, the big building down the track on the left is nothing to do with it. One thing could do with improving, the toilet needs a hygiene sign telling people to leave it clean!!!! Cleanliness is next to Godliness!!!!...Posh folk with Bentleys expecting silver cutlery will not be happy though..🤪

A very unique hidden Gem. Combination of Greek and Italian cuisine that was tasty and good value for money.

Went for lunch today with a friend.. both had a pizza (different ones), which were amazing.. (and I'm a tough cookie to please..!) Other peoples food that i saw looked tasty too.. Such a lovely little bohoo sanctury.. (loved the craft items dotted around the place and the farm produce table.)The vibe is relaxed (yet service was prompt, despite there being a large table at the same time.) I cannot believe it's taken me this long to find this little gem.. Today may have been my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last.. well done guys.

Walked there today from a place we are staying at down in Breadstone. First impressions where this place looks like a well worn out polytunnel. Wanted to look at the arts and craft items and initially thought they were in a separate building to the restaurant. Landowner came out and told us this is private property get off! No clear signage and just thought what an awful place and left

Had a fantastic time here, came with the family (extended and all), and had a delicious meal, good variety of choices, and plenty of space outside if the weather permits! Service was fantastic as they dealt with our many orders. The farm shop has amazing local produce and is well worth the money, and you get to support local business! Would highly recommend the gyros in all of its forms! The photo is of a field behind the outside seating, stunning views all around, nothing better than the countryside!

Stopped here on the way home from holiday as my daughter recommended it. Delicious food and very reasonably priced. People were coming and going for takeaway so obviously we weren't the only people who enjoyed it. 😁

A fantastic gem just off the A38 close to Dursley. The food is awesome. We enjoyed a caramelised onion pizza and open lamb kebab. Sadly the weather wasn't nice enough to eat outside maybe next time. The service is fast and staff lovely.

The cutest of shacks on a farm, with the most delicious and comforting food! Our eyes were bigger than our bellies, but it’s worth it to have leftovers to look forward to the next day. Pizzas and gyros, an awesome combo! The Semplice lamb burger is the best 👌🏽

Good authentic food, cooked with love by passionate people. There is also a shop where one can buy fruits and vegetables from the farm and art from local artists. We go there often as it's one of the best eateries in Gloucestershire. The atmosphere is very casual and food is served in boxes rather than in plates, there is no table service and limited amount of seating spaces.

This is like a kebab van! The lady who served us was unfriendly and didn’t warn us it was a half hour wait for our food. She didn’t know if the chicken is free range so apart from the lamb, the animal welfare is questionable. The food was incredibly unhealthy and they don’t have any produce in their farm shop. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Excellent food in an unexpected place and setting. Both Gyros and Pizza absolutely top class, would highly recommend either, yum! Great staff, nice and friendly. One very minor grumble, called ahead to order and quoted a time and still had to wait fifteen minutes for the delicious food!

The little quirky eatery is run by a greek-italian couple and their youngsters. Their food is sourced locally, the lamb meat and veggies from their own farm. Not only the food is extraordinary but the family's hospitality too.

The Ionian is the perfect place for drivers on a long journey to stop at, or people staying / camping nearby. The surroundings are beautiful, filled with fields littered with sheep. The food is delicious, simple cheap and greek. Would highly recommend the gyros but if you're fancying the pizza is also outstanding. All very reasonably priced and would highly recommend.

Would be a 5* but unfortunately the drinks weren't cold....I'll just have to keep going back to check if their fridge is fixed yet!!

Arrived at 7.15 only to be told they are not serving food although website said they were open till 9 pm not impressed

We enjoyed delicious pizza, rosemary salted fries and gooey chocolate brownie for lunch on father's day, in a lovely rural location. The only downside was that everything was served in takeaway ware, the pizza, the fries, the cake (in an unnecessarily large box), the coffee. It would be nice if, when dining in, things were served using real crockery and cutlery. It's more sustainable and it makes it feel a bit more luxury too. The amount saved on throwaway packaging would be enough to employ someone to wash up.

Quirky place where you can sit outside and watch the sheep in the field or sit inside in what felt like a big tent, quite cosy. We had a tuna and olive pizza and a roasted vegetables gyro with chips. Tasty food, all cutlery and cups are recyclable. Cakes looked good but didn't try as we were so full.

When you enter it has that great authentic Greek kitchen smell that takes you back to Greece. I had the open chicken which is 2 chicken skewers, fries, tzatziki (or whatever ‘sauce’ you choose) and Greek salad. The Greek salad and tzatziki were excellent, the chicken was OK, it was like warm and seemed pre-cooked, I enjoyed the fries although they were a little over done. I followed with their baklava, which was excellent. The nuts were really finely chopped and there was plenty of syrup and the pastry had both crisp and soft layers. Spot on. Toilets was a porta-loo, but somehow it didn’t seem to be much of an issue.

We discovered The Ionian when the place we originally planned to visit turned out to be closed on Sundays. My wife and I love Greek and Mediterranean food, The Ionian didn’t disappoint. Definitely the most authentic Greek food and atmosphere we’ve experienced in the UK, and as good as some of the best food we’ve had in Greece / Greek islands. We had bread and dips followed by gyros, both were amazing. Best to order food in advance (we’ll know for next time).

Great food, but be prepared to wait - our latest visit took 45 minutes from order to arrival. £10 a head for a gyros and a can. Pre-ordering is an option and advised.

A lovely little farm shop with all you'd expect from a farm shop, as well as some great knitwear, pottery, wool blankets and other trinkets. The wood fired pizza, gyros, and lamb burger were all delicious. You don't need to book a table, but it's advised to call ahead with your order. They also had some delicious cakes; Salted caramel cheese cake was especially nice.

Absolute hidden gem. Was a bit apprehensive when I pulled up, but inside is charming enough. The food is fresh, good quality and importantly very well priced. Had the pizza, which was very high quality and only £6. The Greek food people were having looked amazing, and the desserts looked brilliant (only £3 for a slice of homemade banoffie pie). I'm not local enough to come often, but when I take the kids to Slimbridge, we will be stopping off here.

The best dining experience in a while. OMG. Alla Carne Pizza was delightful, the lamb burger so soft and juicy, naked skewers with salad and tyro dip was amazing. They were happy to accomodate my tomato allergy. We will be back next month.

Rustic hippy vibe, good pizza and good coffee and friendly staff. Reasonably priced at £11 for a good sized pizza and £5 for cheesy garlic bread. Plenty of seats inside a tent with log burner although turned up on a day it was -1 so was cold inside the tent so wrap up warm of it’s a cold day.

We used to visit often, but haven't for a while. This was the kids option for a new year's treat, they had visited in the summer with their godmum and had a fab meal. Sadly the pizza we received tonight was burnt / bordering on inedible. I can't get a picture to upload, but would happily share the images to show this. We won't be returning, sorry.

We received a fabulous welcome from the friendly staff. They serve authentic Greek and Italian food, cooked in a wood fired oven. A quirky, friendly, rustic atmosphere. You can eat inside or outdoors, or takeaway. There are handmade craft items for sale too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning for more delicious food

It is a lovely rustic place to go, especially for a great pizza, although other dishes are available. The team are well organised, polite, and friendly. The service wait time is reasonable, but the food is great, it's worth waiting for.

Very lovely find. We had gyros which we would recommend, very tasty, very fresh and the staff were lovely. There was some lovely products you can buy including Jewellery, bags and pottery items.

Had a lovely pizza ,nice to browse the local artists crafts. Lovely rustic feel to the place ,hope the log burner will be on soon as that will compliment the atmosphere. It was quite busy with customers eat ing in and take away. With the rising cost of living the prices were not to bad ,as expected Would visit again 👍

I've been wanting to go to this place for a long time based on their Insta posts and a couple of foody friends recommendations. We did get the chance last Sunday when weather was very warm. There is the choice to sit outside with farm views or indoors. The place although nothing like your box standard cafe has a very trendy, colourful and #boho look. The food was very nice, freshly cooked and tasty, served on disposable containers. There's a good choice of woodburner cooked pizzas 🍕🍕 I recommend going to this place for the unique experience and taste. Good service from polite and friendly staff. Very visually appealing crafts and fresh produce on offer.

It's a great place for pizza and atmosphere. I highly recommend. The only let down is the pager beeping ordering system, this creates unnecessary low level anxiety and noise. It creates a dystopian feeling and isn't congruent with the overall vibes or the ethos. I guess it's to make sure everyone gets their order, especially during busy periods. But there has to be a better solution. It makes me think twice about coming back.

What a fantastic find, short journey from Slimbridge and you find yourself in a quirky, unique and throughly pleasant eatery. The food is fresh,tasty and great value. Great venue inside and out. Visit, you won't regret it.
