What a stunning location. Top class decor and rooms. A perfect location for a daughter's wedding.

Had a lovely lunch here - pizza and mackerel pate. Delicious fresh food, attentive service, nice atmosphere. Will definitely return when next in Nailsworth
A lovely restaurant with excellent food. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. As a wheelchair user it can be tricky parking as the restaurant is situated at the bottom of a hill. The front entrance is accessibble with a small step over the door frame. You will struggle accessing the toilet if you are in anything other than a small manual wheelchair as it is quite tight.
You must pay a visit to the beach while you are there . There is a car park with a lovely viewing platform.
Having been disappointed on our last visit we decided to give it another chance so we took our guests for Sunday lunch. Dispite there only being two other tables of diners it took more than 35 minutes for our meal to arrive. Ten minutes after we finished the meal ,the plates were taken away we weren't asked if would like a dessert. 25 minutes after that we paid the bill and left having not seen the waitress since she cleared our table. Food was mediocre
I live local and find the greedy pricing not only deluded but offensive considering how much people are struggling financially. £6.95 for a small average ciabatta, £0.50p charges for oat milk, coffee shops have gotten used to people being sheep with there money. Could have gone to a restaurant for the price of two sandwiches and two coffees.
Won’t be back.
Honestly one of the most delicious pizzas I’ve ever had, the toppings were incredible, hot chilli honey and pepperoni. We had 2 pizzas and both were spectacular, highly recommend.
lovely, lovely pub great genial landlord, so friendly and welcoming, his son was waiting on our table , very helpful (he got me extra sauce!) both courses were delicious very generous, prompt service would definitely recommend 👌
Loved the atmosphere and the cocktails. We will absolutely be back as need to try more of the venue. The service was brilliant and the staff are so helpful in picking the right cocktail
Being local Salisbury residents, thought we’d try out Hixons on a lovely summer Saturday evening. We had prebooked and told 8pm second sitting availability, which was fine. What we experienced was totally unacceptable, terrible service having to wait 45 minutes before they took our food choices. Food was excellent, but sadly was overshadowed by the lack of customer service, we were not asked if we wanted a dessert or indeed a second drink. Our table was left uncleared and after eternity I asked for the bill, they then preceded to include a service charge, which maddened me, I asked for it be taken off, paid up and left totally disappointed. We shall not be returning, such a shame.
We queued for 45 minutes after being told that this place was amazing but we weren't impressed! I went for a hot donut with chocolate ice-cream, the icecream was amazing but the donut was like a brick so I couldn't eat that. My daughters chocolate milkshake was missing from the order and when I asked for it it came without the cream and toppings. She said it tasted funny and I tried it and threw it straight in the bin. It wasn't the experience we were expecting and we wouldn't go again.
