Outstanding meal at Casa on Friday celebrating our anniversary. The food was exceptional from start to finish with the finest produce used at each course. Our highlights were the tortellini and tiramisu! Totally recommend 👌

Our dinner was a traditional antipasti-pasta-fish-meat-dessert flow of classic Italian flavours. There was no show-stopping creativity, just a focus on top quality ingredients, tried and tested flavours and perfected techniques. The beef was pretty much the best I have ever tasted, but unfortunately our mussels were on the verge of mush. The filled pasta were perfect but I don’t know what all the fuss is about with the Tiramisu. While Casa commendably offers its menus in three tiers from a £35pp menu del giorno to a £95pp chef’s menu - and we didn’t quite leave hungry - I don’t really feel it represents decent value. We also had a sense that it was all too easy for the restaurant to trade on its past reputation. The staff seemed oddly in awe of the owner and interactions with them were very mechanical as others have noted. Perhaps this lack of rapport would be helped by turning down the obnoxiously loud club music (beware the massive bass bin as you walk in). Not recommended for those with any hearing difficulty! The clinical Clockwork Orange decor also meant we could have been sat anywhere but Bristol… Overall generally good, if pricey, food detracted from by a focus on ‘vibes’ over genuine warmth.

Easy to miss from the outside, and not much to see on the inside, the whole focus of Casa is on food and service. And both are fantastic, I must say. We went for the 65GBP menu, and by then end of it where neither hungry nor disappointed. Expect plenty of food, and the dish quality was fantastic all through the meal. My favourite was probably the lion mane mushroom in panko and the sirloin, but honestly, there weren't any weak dishes.

Wow, what a beautiful restaurant & experience for a birthday meal. We had the 5 course £65 menu and every dish was incredible. We loved that they were all explained as they came out. The atmosphere / vibe is stunning. The attention to detail with the lighting really took it to the next level. The service was a bit odd / lacking in places. At one point, one of the staff members came up to our table and simply said "your wine is finished" and walked off.... No one asked if we wanted any more drinks at any point. It did make us all laugh.

The quality of the food is unreal, we were perplexed that there wasn’t a queue out the door and we didn’t need to book. They have a great pricing structure so it can suit all budgets, we went for the mid ranged and it is some of the best food we have ever eaten. Having dined here twice for the birthdays of family members, I can't really fault this place. We came in with a party of 18, and the courses came out in a timely manner, especially for a party of that size. We went for the Del Giorno menu (3 courses for £30) and despite the seemingly small portions, the food was so rich that everybody I spoke to was almost painfully full afterwards. The standouts for me were the arancini for the antipasto and the Negronis- both options that I normally avoid due to personal taste, but they were both delicious. It's very gourmet, and ordering from the regular menu can rack up a bill, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for."

Poor experience. Ordered the Chef tasting menu and wine flight for 4 people and was very disappointing. The wines are very poor quality (sent one out of four back and gave up trying to select a decent red by the glass). The food was of a good quality but little wow factor for the price and small portions. Overall at £160 per head (£70 service) this is an overpriced and underwhelming place. I booked a table for 4 via OpenTable. With regards to positives, I must say our waitress was fantastic and attentive. It should be more clearly noted however that this is an Italian Tapas style restaurant. As a Spaniard, I find it mildly offensive that the word tapas has now become some sort of synonym for small portions at high price points. The food we had was lovely in flavour, but one scallop and one single tiny arancini to share between four at such a high price point is just not justifiable to me. When it comes to value for money, there are many better options in Bristol. In addition, for some reason they were playing old school hip-hop and at times techno music. As much as I enjoy these genres, I found this strange as it impacted the cosy atmosphere of the restaurant.

Where do we begin? First of all the food itself was very under par for what I had expected from a restaurant of this calibre. The portions itself were miniscule in comparison to the prices we had paid. Even for a tapas restaurant they were tiny! Why offer a £30pp menu when you're inclined to purchase more items off the menu? The bread served was extremely salty and oily when it didn't have to be! Focaccia doesn't need to be coated in grease... We highly anticipated to receive our mains but were presented with cold and uninspired dishes. I'm really shocked with the amount of great reviews but it seems as if people just attend as if it gives them a sense of wealth in their lives. All in all, the food was not great and I definitely won't be back again. Such a shame as we had expected a lovely meal here but was heavily disappointed. Guess we'll be back to Marmo next time.

Some wonderful dishes interspersed with a few more lacklustre options. The discrepancy in price between different plates was bewildering at time. We loved the sardine ragu, mushroom pasta and hake. The service was quite strange. Some really friendly, more low-key folks and some more traditional fine-dining folks made for a strange vibe. Combined with the genre-fluid and too-loud music it was all a bit unsettling. Nonetheless it was a good meal, and if you're not too fussed about price then it's worth checking out.

After an 11/10 meal at Paco Tapas in February I was soo excited to eat at Casa however I did leave slightly disappointed. The prices at Casa and Paco have increased quite a bit since February but I was happy to pay, hoping my meal would be just as delicious, and for the most part it was. The cocktails were amazing, all the pasta dishes were absolutely delicious, the pork chop was cooked perfectly, as was the fish. The reason for the 4 instead 5 rating is for the few dishes that were nice but not nice enough for the price point (not quite chicken Milanese, lions mane Milanese, chicory and anchovy). Overall the meal was delicious, however at £120pp I would expect every dish to be amazing and unfortunately it wasn’t

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa in Bristol, and it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment we stepped in until the very last bite, Casa managed to captivate us with its ambiance, service, and exceptional culinary offerings. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and our waiter for the evening was Rafal. His genuine enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu immediately set the tone for the evening. We decided to go all in and opt for the chef's choice menu, accompanied by a wine flight and a couple of cocktails. Rafal's attentive service made the evening truly memorable. The chef's choice menu was a excellent. Every course was a delightful surprise, beautifully presented and well executed. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, each dish showcased the culinary team's expertise and dedication to their craft. The variety of flavors in each course was a testament to their commitment to offering a truly remarkable dining experience. The ambiance of Casa added another layer of charm to the evening. A beautifully presented restaurant with superb service and fantastic wines and cocktails. Unfortunately the food struggles to define itself from that sold at its sister restaurant next door, the meat was superb but reflected more on the quality of farmer rather than chef. Fish was dramatically over seasoned, and the lions’ mane ragu so salty it verged on inedible. Stars of the show included a lovely asparagus dish, as well as a refined agnolotti. But on the whole left me feeling overpriced for the “let the quality of ingredients sing” type thing, or underwhelming if pushing for fine dining.

Casa is a well oiled machine, and you are a cog. You'll get excellent food but feel like you're letting the side down by not ordering fast enough, not eating fast enough, and generally not pulling your weight. Just annoying that they charge for what should be a good quality service, but fail to staff that level and manage front of house.

This little gem is a delight to the senses, a perfect dinner from start to finish. We were greeted at the door by a friendly host who showed us to our seats and took our coats, the restaurant was modern and clean without being sterile or pretentious. Our waitress was lovely and helpful and explained the concept to us, was back speedily for our drinks order and as we had been studying the menu and new what we wanted we also got our food order in fairly quickly. Food came out at the perfect pace - we had a small table and it never felt crowded, usually as we finished one dish the next one would come along so the timing was impeccable. As there was two of us we ordered just over the recommended 4 dishes pp, so we went for Caponata with Focaccia, Mushroom arancini , Fennel sausage garganelli, Double Agnolotti - pumpkin / Gorgonzola cream, Monkfish in basil dill and parsley, Slow cooked overnight beef cheek with paprika, Polenta fries, Leek gratin and for desert Pannacotta with candied pine nuts and Tiramisu. We also had a glass of rose pet nat and a bottle of Primitivo. Every dish was packed with flavour, had incredible complexity and was seasoned to absolute perfection. We were basically in shock of how good the food was, not one thing didn't hit the mark. On top of that the waiting staff that brought each dish out were clearly passionate about the food and told us what the ingredients were and the process of how it was made. Not to mention the play list which was nostalgic and upbeat and felt like it had been made for us - TLC, Jurassic 5, Neneh Cherry, Eminem.... Basically a classic nineties/noughties hip-hop RnB playlist. For what we had and the calibre of food, we thought the cost was super reasonable. We will be recommending to everyone and definitely coming back for more!!

Great food, attentive and friendly staff and attention to detail. We were recommended an interesting off menu wine, the only slight downside was the questionable music at 30% too high volume! Overall 5* experience, just go here

The staff, from arrival were absolutely fabulous, very friendly, positive and heartfelt and helpful. Their presence gave this restaurant a great feeling. The food, every plate, was cooked to a very high level. When did you last salavate about cabbage? Well I did! From beautifully cooked hake in a pesto sauce to fantastic mushroom appetisers and much more. A great varied menu which is complimented by a knowledgeable front of house. The kitchen area is open and exposed for all to see. I loved watching the collaboration between junior chefs and the head chef, who tasted all before the food was served. There was no sign of panic, yet I imagine there was immense pressure but all those in whites behaved like graceful swans. A very young team, who were extremely calm and a credit to themselves. Thank you for the most beautiful meal, I have eaten in a long time. I look forward to returning in the very near future.

Date night in Bristol, we don’t get out much these days. I wanted a restaurant that wasn’t to formal and Casa was recommended. We decided on the taster menu and it was exceptional. Each small plate was presented beautifully and tasted better. The staff were wonderfully welcoming, a real cool crew. Thank you for making our night very special.

Meal on 3.12.22. Was told on arrival dishes arrive when they are ready, meats would arrive about 45 minutes after ordering. Two hours later we chase the meat dishes to be told 'you don't understand how we do things'. I'd say you misrepresent what you do.

You need to reserve a table which can be done online, but act quickly, as the restaurant closes 20 August. Ensure you are hungry when you go, as there are 20 small courses to eat. Interesting to watch the chefs at work, especially using wood fires to cook on. All the staff take a turn in serving you and they were all very friendly. I wish them well for the future.

Ambience takes you to a different level of dining experience. Watching the food being prepared is always fun. Concept of tasting menu is taken to the extreme with 20 courses. Each little more than a mouthful and sometimes a bigger helping would have been more enjoyable. The bill is not for the faint hearted!

Had an evening out here recently for a 50th birthday with a small group of friends. Loved the atmosphere, music and the service was excellent. At £300 per head (with wine) felt the service charge should have been included. Food was good although a theme of miso/fermented soy ran through most courses, becoming a bit overpowering. Overall I enjoyed the experience but have to say much preferred the previous format/menu. It's an experience!

Chicken nice and tender However the soup of the ramen is way too salty, you should be able to drink them after having the noodles, but it is not possible here. The saltiness just overpowered all the other flavors. Someone needs to taste the food before sending it out.

I just moved into Bristol and wanted to have Indian to cure my hunger, so I had ordered dinner from this place and 2 of the 3 dishes I had ordered had long strands of hair in it. The worst part is I found them as I was chewing and pulled it out of my mouth. Really disappointed by this.
