Friendly community cafe with a wide range of food available. Prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. Will be back for sure.

I had the mario breakfast and a great latte, really enjoyable and at a great price, personally would have liked toast and mushrooms instead of chips, but it is a set breakfast.

Mario,s is the heart of our small shopping street , its great for meet and greet , the senior members of the area have great fun spending plenty of time chatting. 3 of us had two courses, substantual meal and drinks, for less than £36 . Defiantly will reccomend, as I live in London treating mum and friend was a treat.

Updated review October 23. Food is still good. Arrived hot. Was very busy again. Had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I have to mark it down for the cleanliness of the place. Hasn't looked like it's had a deep clean in a while. Now, most probably wont eat there again. Original review. In my honest opinion, it has got to be the best cafe in Bristol/South West. Price, quality food cooked really well, great service. Amazing. Gets very busy.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST CAFE IN THE AREA the staff and management are excellent and caring even for the disabled The food is excellent and has the best and most comprehensive menu I have ever seen, it is delicious and plenty of it and some of the lowest prices in Bristol All my friends are very impressed and it is a regular restaurant for us !! This is the best so we forget the rest !!

Top service by the young girls ..never have to wait long for you food that is allways cooked well from scratch

Don't know where to start. The food is great every time i come in, staff is very friendly and the place's got this welcome warm feeling every time i visit. Definitely recommend as it's local and fresh!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Manages, the balance between a proper full English and a coffee at a table in the sidewalk with aplomb and excellent service.

This Cafe is one of the best in Bristol highly recommend, a lot of breakfast options, I went for the omelette and chips

Took mother in law yes for dinner after hospital appointment thought I'd try meal was absolutely disgusting wish I never bothered firstly it stunk so greasy. Mother in the had lamb chops they were so tough. 2 tiny chops.I had steak with pepper sauce which was like milk def they can't make pepper sauce.tomatoes only 2 thin slices were burnt what a day never again. Avoid

Love this place. The 2nd time my wife and I visited they remember our order. Coffee and tea within minutes of sitting down and always accommodating to my wife's ever changing diets. Great cafe. Would highly recommend.

Good value for money, very nicely presented. Limited choice on menu, but food was quickly served & tasted good!

I've always had good service here but today was very poor. I ordered my usual rare steak which I always eat in the cafe. Today it was served in a polystyrene box!!! Once you cut the steak the box is also cut made a huge mess, quite embarrassing. I think Mario must be away so standards have dropped. Mario get a grip of your staff.

Best cafe in the area. I used to go there regularly as I lived down the road. Always welcoming and cheery. Never a bad meal. Food fabulous. Mario's omelettes are the best I have ever had. Very clean. Still visit when I can. The best!!!

Haven't been to the cafe since the lockdown. But was very impressed with the way they have set out the cafe They asked us for name and contact details on arrival and all the other precautions made us feel very safe . And last but not least the food was excellent as ever. Went out last night to bigger restaurant and felt very uncomfortable and not safe . Thankyou Mario.

Great place to eat or just have a coffee. It's very relaxed and I get the impression it's mainly used by local people. Mario has recently opened another more upmarket restaurant in the same road which offers freshly made lasagne, spaghetti Bolognese, steaks and a Sunday roast menu, amongst other dishes. You can take your own alcoholic drinks too. It's not open every night but I went there last week and the food was excellent.

I had a sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection, one of the best I've ever tasted

Nice friendly cafe in Stockwood. We were there with a large party for breakfast and they handled it really well for a small food outlet especially as they were also catering for their normal customers. The breakfast I had was lovely: well cooked, hot & filling, the coffee was just right. Just what you need to get you set on a cold Saturday morning in January.
