The food was very nice but I thought he was a bit of a cheek to charge me 40p for milk to go with my Americano I only live just at the road and would have to think twice about going there again

Afternoon tea for two, one vegetarian. Outstanding food. Even though it was afternoon tea no requirement for anything else before breakfast! Have now been three times for afternoon tea over the last year and always excellent. Evening meals and breakfasts also of exceptional standard.

I love coming here, the breakfasts - especially the Edinburgh are epic, coffee cake is lovely and just wait for the mince pies with clotted cream!. The team are flawless in organising large group events and hosted our 20+ person birthday party with ease. Fantastic service every time.

Amazing coffee, service & food!!

Small Mediterranean style restaurant, called in for lunch and was a good experience. Nice welcome when we arrived, fairly busy but comfortable. Quiet music playing in the background, staff very attentive, nothing too much trouble and a nice varied menu with allergens and intolerances clearly marked. Drinks came immediately, coffee was really good. Food arrived in 10-15 minutes and was worth waiting for. Prices totally acceptable for the delicious home-made food. Will come again.

Brilliant local restaurant. Tasty breakfast, especially scrambled eggs. Went here to relax and have a quiet breakfast and was blown away yet again by the service and quality of local produce. Thank you !

Had heard good things about this restaurant, and the comments were correct. We had sandwiches which were very tasty and filling. The service was very good, attentive, and quick. We sat outside in the courtyard, which was very pleasant. The restaurant serves a good selection of sandwiches, pizza, and mains, and it also had some amazing looking homemade cakes. Definitely going back soon. Recommended.

We had a lovely anniversary lunch here. The food was outstanding - we had a pizza and garlic chilli pasta - we would definitely recommend here. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go again :)

We had a delicious three course meal with wine served by excellent waitresses who were polite, friendly and efficient. The outside courtyard was delightful. Highly recommended

Nice little place, only stopped by with 'the boy' on a bike ride. I rocked up a bit sweaty, but was welcomed. I had a coffee and shared a raisin flapjack with my 2yo. Coffee was good, flapjack was nice, it was quite dark in colour... which was different, but the taste test revealed it was quite 'caramelly'... recommended!

We stayed in Nailsworth for 2 days and we ate here twice - once for lunch and then for breakfast - both times were lovely. Great food; very friendly service; lovely atmosphere and a really cute location. All-in-all….great!

Weekend away in the Cotswold saw the millionaires cheesecake on Instagram and it did not let us down. Cosy restaurant, excellent atmosphere for a Friday night - worth the journey. Afternoon tea looks amazing - must book in!

Booked a table for lunch as part of my wife's birthday celebrations, very impressed with the quality of service and food, the staff were very attentive and made sure we had a stress free time, the food was fantastic, great taste, quantity and quality, all at a reasonable price, already planning on a return visit in the near future, highly recommended.

Lovely cafe and restaurant. The coffee is superb, as is the food, and the service is excellent. If you are after just a coffee, lunch or dinner, you won’t go wrong with the Olive tree, a hidden gem. Have visited a couple of times already in 2024 and I must say the afternoon tea is a sublime.

Gréât location and good service. I’ve eaten here for breakfast and it was good. Just had an evening meal there because of the reviews and was left disappointed. Service again was good but the food was just ok. Pork was dry and the French beans looked to be past their sell by date. The reviews of food are always subjective as it’s down to personal perspective and experience, I do think there is easy room for improvement here. For now I will stick to their breakfasts and coffee

An unexpected & delightful early evening meal.. Unexpected only in that we hadn't planned to journey home on a Friday evening thru Nailsworth.... The efficient team, while obviously v-busy, took note of an unusual diet requirement (allium allergy) & came up with a creative menu variation that was more than delicious. We sat outside adjacent to the main restaurant in a triangle shaped courtyard. It was quiet & calm early on but became fun/ animated as evening guests arrived. The absence of piped or background music was appreciated - we could hear; the staff explain things & our own conversation - reflecting on a lovely day out in Gloucestershire. I am sure like most things in life "The Olive Tree" has good & not so good days but we certainly enjoyed a good day! Many thanks!

Very impressed. Had lunch, the club sandwich was excellent but the star of the show was the black olive butter and sourdough bread starter, exceptionally good.

A friendly cosy bistro with excellent ambiance. A regular place for meeting friends for brunch/lunch/coffee. Tables downstairs, outside and upstairs can all be reserved. The coffee is hot and strong and cakes are delicious but the star turns have to be toasted teacakes or warm scones - especially the cheese/herb scones.

Have been here twice now (in the same week - it's THAT good.) Not only is the service excellent without being in your face, but the staff are genuinely friendly. You can tell they love what they do. And as for the food...omg! It's literally to die for! And I can definitely recommend the ginger sponge and custard for dessert. And everything is reasonably priced too. This place is an absolute gem

Handy location at the end of the cycle trail. I called in for a coffee and cake, which were enjoyable. I noticed breakfasts were a popular option and they looked tasty.

We have visited this place few years ago, we wasn't impressed. Two weeks ago we decided to give another chance. And what a wonderful surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed every single moment. The food was delicious, service very good too. Definitely worth a try a broccoli soup and quiche. Good beers and ciders.

A quiet but cosy restaurant in Nailsworth. The dishes were overall quite bland but the quality of the vegetables, fish and meat were good! The sweet potato fries were a bit soggy (hoped it to be crispy).

Really really wanted to love this place. But it was cold. They didn't put the Xmas lights on. It lacked SOMETHING! Warmth and atmosphere! It didn't make you want to return.

Dined here a few times, the food is always exceptionally good, the service is of the highest standard and they are very accommodating if you have any allergies or food intolerance. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is simply amazing. The food and menus are superb, whether you are calling In quickly for soup or a light lunch (as I frequently do) or having a main meal. Drinks, coffees and cakes are also excellent. There is a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and the staff are wonderful. Paddy the owner, Olie (manager I think?) and all the other staff always go out of their way to help and offer the best possible experience. The chefs (2) are both called Tracey and they are extraordinary, the food is beautifully cooked and presented; original home cooked using local ingredients. Perfection. Well done and thank you to all of you.

Warm welcome, great menu, enjoyable food and super cakes and desserts. Definitely be going back next time we are in Gloucestershire. We all had lunch but they would have just as happy to see us even if we only ordered coffee and cake. Very impressive service.

Walked in with no booking, very friendly staff member got us a table straight away. Ordered food it came in good time and was totally delicious, haven't had moussaka for ages and it was good. Dessert was a cheesecake it was divine custard cheesecake with rubarb never had a cheesecake like it best ever.

Good basic food, delicious if not particularly authentic cuisine. I have to say their breakfast is the best menu option. Best get there before 12 noon. A small curiosity, if you want milk in your americano they charge an extra 30(40?)p. Just shows what a lack of competition does for you.

Found this lovely, old building on Saturday . Dogs welcome in the small seated area to the side in a court yard .some tables have umbrellas . Pebble floor so take a dog cushion . Had lovely toasted sandwich and oat milk latte , though there were some lovely homemade cakes ,scones qnd croissants on display too . Quirky old building with upstairs and downstair toilet . A small restaurant is situated upstairs too which seems to offer a tasty evening meal . One or two vegetarian options available. Server said you could book midweek for a weekend spot most times. Staff really friendly qnd accommodating fetching our dog a water bowl on a day which turned out to be very warm.

There are quite a few great places to eat in Nailsworth. My wife and I are thrilled we chose to eat here at the end of some deliberation. The food was full of flavour, the service was on point. I would highly recommend eating here.
