The best restaurants in Wycombe South East

I get the impression that the owners are winding the Taps down. The bar staff are excellent, beer is good but often the selection can be poor. Food is no longer available, but you can take food in. The bar is looking tired, the loos are very retro, if 1970s public toilets are your thing. Its a real shame.

Good food and a nice atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Good service and friendly staff. Our first visit under the new ownership. We will be back!

À restrant with no menu, yes it's true, I was told they have untrained staff working in the kitchen, so they could offer something with chips, we left.

The bathrooms are disgusting and look like the walls and tiles need a deep clean. The dining area floor and tables are all dirty too - which takes away from the experience

Breakfast here, when staying at the adjoining hotel, is excellent. As for evening meals, I find the food somewhat underwhelming. The staff are brilliant, very friendly & helpful.

Ordered food and it didn’t come. No explanation or help from customer service😡😡!!! Avoid this trash place at all costs. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Had the chicken pie but it had several sharp bones and made with leg meat rather than breast. I didn’t eat it all but mentioned it when the staff cleared the table. They didn’t check if everything was ok. I raised this when paying but was told no one else had complained, and seemed to suggest that I was making it up. Unfriendly and unhelpful. Charged me full price. Have been there several times but won’t be back. Poor service and poor food.

Four of us from out of area dropped into this pub for lunch. We sat in the garden as the weather weather was good. We ordered food and this was brought out to us. The food was tasty and well priced. When I went back in to order post lunch tea and coffee I reminded them of our table number but was told very sharply "you have to take them out yourself. We don't bring drinks out." I had to ask for a tray (4 drinks). When a lady came to clear the table I said "can I say something". She said aggressively "you can say what you want". I expressed the view that asking a customer to carry 4 hot drinks outside, including opening a heavy door, was dangerous and had I spilt some and scalded myself this would have been a problem for all concerned. This was said in a calm manner - no shouting, no bad language. She said "I'll get the manager - I don't like being spoken to like that". Another lady arrived, apparently the manager, and asked what was the problem. I told her. She said they don't have the staff to bring drinks outside. The customer must do it. This lady was scruffy, rude and totally uncompromising. She eventually said sorry through gritted teeth. I do not expect such rude and appalling treatment. Eat indoors if you want to stay safe and not be insulted.

Mate ordered food. Delivery driver brought the wrong order, said he would exchange it, didn’t. Guy drove off and was never seen again. Called the store, after speaking with multiple people they wouldn’t do anything about it. Offered a refund after a while of going between multiple staff. End result… hungry and no food, with a pending refund, if they even remember to do it. Disgusting service 100% avoid.

Food ok but no desserts. Staff pleasant enough but did not really seem to know about the food. No fizzy drinks ie. Coke or lemonade as gas machine broken

Had a voucher for afternoon tea, having read the reviews we were slightly dubious and unfortunately we were right to be. Food arrived after 40 mins, it was clearly all previously frozen as some of the cakes were freezing, scones the worst I've ever tasted and rock hard. Chipped crockery and stained tea pots etc. Overall a very underwhelming experience and I felt sorry for people coming in and paying almost £40 for this afternoon tea, dreadful, would never return.

Since Pizza Hut have change menu to halal, don’t taste as before, food is one star now. Some pizzaz should be halal but not all of them.

The food was average bigger portions needed but the staff were very disrespectful and rude towards us and as soon as she saw me leaving a bad review she started to be nice to us because she was afraid of the consequences
