Roosters Piri Piri in Wycombe

Lovely food! I always get the pleasure of being served by the humble owner, he’s very lovely & provides the best service! The food is always served hot and quickly & is always delicious!

Food is really tasty and for what you pay it's a decent amount, the restaurant itself needs some love however, there is holes in seats and the bathroom door only just locks.

Shocking service. Rude people. No customer service whatsoever. If I could give 0 star I would. I will never use them again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Absolutely disgusting the chicken was raw!!!!! Literally it’s pinkkkk!!!!!! Appalling!! Sent it back and got the same pink chicken lost my whole appetite!!!!! Just go chicken cottage!

This is my 2nd time here and that is because the 1st time was, you guessed it, "Amazing". I ordered there half chicken and kept it flavour mild. Chicken was cooked to perfection, soft and juicy just you would like it. The fries could be improved but still tasted good. Did not disappoint me coming back.

Food is great, however, they need a better ordering system as everytime I've gone there with multiple people, they get confused and mix the orders up or give you something entirely different. Worth it since the food is great.

Bad service, they had to ask you "sorry" at every word you say and still they got my order wrong. Very cold inside the restaurant and dirty tables. I had to use the toilet and there was no soap and the dryer didn't work.

Just ordered a buffalo Thigh burger absolutely disgusting very soggy and hardly any chicken inside it.This is after telling the person on the phone please make the burger fresh. Upside after excuses received a refund. Stay away from this place. Also the person on the phone not very clear have to repeat your order before he understands.

So, This was the first time I've eaten in after many deliveries. Frankly the resturant is cleaner than most houses, I walked in with a gentlemen wiping down tables just after they were empty. Thank you it doesn't go unnoticed. Upsides; it tastes that much better when not using deliveroo, uber or another alternative. The chicken, lovely and tender, no where near hot spicy wise (lemon and herb it's not meant to be) but still cooked very well. Crispy potato wedges and plenty of them. All in, a solid 4 to 5 Downsides I was asked why I didn't tell them I was eating in. That should be a question, please ask as some people may assume, as I did, that takeaway packaging inside is normal and expected However the staff are lovely and attentive and always up for a joke with the customers. Only reason it's not a 5 star review is don't assume people are leaving and not eating in. Great otherwise and you won't go wrong dining here.

I placed an order via Just Eat- I was delivered the wrong food. I had ordered a Buffalo Thigh Burger meal, however I received 2 chicken breasts instead of a burger. When I contacted Roosters, I was told they did not have any chicken thighs so they sent 2 chicken breasts. I questioned, firstly why they had not contacted me to inform me that items were not available on my order (they had my contact details via Just Eat app) baring in mind I had paid over £10 for this meal, and secondly they could have placed the chicken breast in a burger -as I had ordered a burger meal. I was told by the manager they cannot send me a replacement meal and because he is fasting he can make mistakes. As a business, I said this is not good enough. He admits it was an error on their part but instead of rectifying the situation he began shouting and arguing with me and told me never to order from Roosters again!!!! What disgusting customer service!!!!! I think they forget their business survives from paying customers!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour!!!!

Got food via deliveroo. Chicken was pink in the middle, food arrived cold, mash potato was tasteless and lumpy, salad not fresh and slightly warm. I paid just under £15 which included a sprite, should have got a Tesco meal deal, way cheaper and nicer. Very gutted.

Second time this place has effed up the order. Never ordering from them again! This time round, ordered 2x piri chips, they delivered normal chips. Ordered Lotus Biscoff cheesecake, they delivered some non descript cheesecake that tasted off so that just got binned. You call them and they don't offer a refund or exchange. They barely understand what you are saying and act like they are doing you a favour.

Halloumi still raw clearly only cooked on the grill for not even a minute and wrong order for chicken. No customers waiting so clearly just incompetent and don’t care for the quality of their food

Shocking service. Ordered half a chicken and rice, which arrived pink... when i called the manager to ask for the meal to be replaced, he sent just the chicken, half an hour later and told me i should reheat the rice...

Awful. Ordered two wraps with two milkshakes (vanilla brownie & oreo) however we received two strawberry milkshakes. We got in touch with a lady through live chat on Deliveroo, who said the order will be rescheduled and our milkshakes would be sent to us for free and we can track the order through the app. An hour past and still nothing except the ‘arrival time’ kept changing to later every 5mins so then I decided to call the restaurant. Spoke to a man who tells us that they are out of stock on milkshakes this whole time who hung up whilst I was asking if we would get our money back. Called again to ask about our money and he said deliveroo will send it back but nothing has come back. Never ordering from here again.

I have just called to complain about an order I had placed with Rosters Piri Piri, where we had missing items, I was told 'listen here woman, call back in half an hour, we are busy'! Please think twice about ordering!

Boss man,treated us like bosses, looked after us fed us too much food, it was fresh and didn’t give us a bad belly the next day ! Must try !

I order here regularly, the food is consistently good quality and arrives promptly. The extra hot IS extra hot which is nice. The peri salted chips occasionally have way too much peri salt on - but that’s a personal preference. Il continue ordering here. It’s like a nicer and less expensive version of nandos.

From my experience the chicken tastes fresh compared to other peri peri places in wycombe. I also noticed a better after taste.

We've been ordering at least twice a week for the last year. The food was always great, as were the prices. Today went online and the price has almost doubled! The double chicken wrap on its own now costs an extra £5 plus you can't order the option with the side, which then also costs you an extra £2.50 for a small side like a corn. This was previously included in the price. For an order that always cost us 15£ for months, we're now asked to pay close to 30£. A double chicken wrap with a side went up from £7 to £12 from one day to another! A small increase is understood but this is not justified. You've just lost a regular loyal customer who ordered twice a week. Disappointed, will be ordering from elsewhere going forward, Roosters just lost one of the most loyal customers they had.

I’ll try not to swear much, had a dreadful experience in the store so I sent an email highlighting my concerns, it reads; Hello I feel the need to write to Roosters after my last two separate visits to Roosters Peri Peri High Wycombe. At the start of the month I had checked on the government website that Roosters was taking part in the eat out to help out scheme. This was in the first week of August, upon arrival when double checking with the cashier he said that they are not part of the scheme yet as it had not been set up on the system. Frustrated and stating it clearly states on the website I left it there. I did still order food. I returned again this week having double checked again on the website that Roosters is included on the scheme to which it was. Upon entering the store I asked the cashier about the scheme to which he replied that it has not been set up on the system therefore I cannot have access to the scheme today and have 50% off. This was a different gentleman from the previous occasion but the previous gentleman was the chef on shift this time. Again showing the website clearly stating Roosters is on the scheme he said there’s nothing he can do and do I still want to order. I ordered my meal and when finishing I gathered all my rubbish neatly in a pile in the middle of the table, this has always been what I do when visiting Roosters as before COVID the staff would clean the table. I of course have no issue with cleaning my table if that is the norm but it was the gentleman cashier who then asked to bring the bowls for the chips back to him also before I leave as he said he can’t really be going out there (shop floor) to collect customers rubbish. Now with that comment it made me question what do the staff do after each customer attends and leaves as his comment would cite that the tables are not wiped down after each use. Both experiences have been unpleasant but the latter felt rude and dismissive, it states clearly on the government website yet that didn’t suffice. I have attached a picture showing that Roosters is on the scheme and my receipt proving my attendance at the restaurant Thankyou That was on the 27th of August, they have read the message but have done nothing to rectify let alone justify the experience. The place is run by money grabbing cretins

Not a place it was once. Man at reception looklike someone forced him to stand there as no customer service. Food was below average and even their restaurant mention on .gov website for eatout scheme still no discount. Upon asking them about discount their answer was that they don't know their restaurant is on list.

Food is fairly consistent in terms of quality. Busy place.

This place has good food when eating in however they have very rude and poor customer service. The guy that usually takes the orders is extremely blunt and has a horrible personality. I wouldn't go to this place again just because it's not very welcoming. Also when the food arrived we were told to get up and collect it when someone should come to the table and give it to you. Also I wouldn't advise anyone to get cheese on thier burgers as you can't even taste it.

3 months ago I love the Piri Piri here, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious and convenient

I would recommend staying well away from any beef products at this establishment. They cannot cook it properly. The chicken is usually edible.

This restaurant was over an hour late delivering food - we had no prior updates and could not get through when we tried calling! When the food came it was cold and the man did not seem to care that he was late! Would not recommend at all!

Best place to eat in wycombe by a mile, hence why its very busy especially between 5 and 7pm. Great service most of the time when the main guy is there.

Fast food takeaway but not fried (apart from chips) all grilled yum yum. I ordered marinated and flamed grill chicken wings the hottest coating they had to offer with salad (tell them no what you want in your salad) and chips well worth the money you have to wait a while but its all cooked freash

Personally i enjoyed the experience and the food was very delicious. However the place was a bit unclean amd the staff were slightly discombobulated.

Walked in and staff didn’t even acknowledge me Ordered my food then I asked them to clean the tables and they were rude about it I asked them to clean it again and they said “the tables are clean do you want the whole shop” I got my food and I asked for salt and the man said “you can say please now ” I AM NOT HAPPY

The food is ok but the team are so rude. Not even eye contact. They guy at the till just dropped the receipt on the desk without saying anything. Poor customer service.

lamb burger was scrumptious.. ( normally u find smell in lamb in other eateries but this had no smell and tastes so good) .. the chips were crunchy ( best ever chips i had in long time) will definitely recommend, prices were not too high either.

The best place in town for hot wings I might say. Staff is very polite and take care of your request. There are power sockets and usb chargers next to almost all tables. Great overall.

Good place to grab a quick bite cleanest chicken shop on frog-more and the Boss is a nice guy and the staff are good, would recommend its not no 5-star dinner but we in High Wycombe.

Money was taken from account, food never showed up and repeated phone calls to the shop to enquire were ignored

Currently my favourite restaurant to visit. If you're looking for freshly cooked chicken and succulent burgers then Roosters Piri Piri is a must visit! Roosters Piri Piri is often compared to Nando's, however I find that the quality of food is much higher at RPP plus the pricing is a lot more generous than Nando's. I cannot stress enough how much you need to give this place a go, so if you stumble across this review and you're contemplating where to eat, then I'd HIGHLY recommend to give it a go. P.S, Not being paid to praise this place, I just really enjoy their food... maybe a little too much!

Always go to the Maidenhead branch. The wraps here are small, lack chicken and ratios to salad are well off. Smaller portions of chips etc. Very strict on charging for piri piri salt / mayo which is quite frankly overpriced for what it is. Service is alright but a bit poncy for what is essentially a chicken shop. If you can be bothered then go to the Maidenhead branch. Yes you get paper plates but my god is the chicken/portions better.
