Came in to watch the six nations rugby this afternoon and my wife overheard another old punter making racist remarks about one of the Irish players. We drank up and left straight after the match. Not great to see in this day and age.
Not good. Everything tasted the same and that flavour was bland with a hint of cleaning cupboard. At least it was hot and arrived quickly but thats about all it had going for it.
Upon further inspection, this place has a fold hygiene rating of 1. I usually check first.

Ordered at 6.20 pm on a Friday. The website stated my order would be delivered by 7.15. As it was a Friday I expected them to be busy. At 7.30 I rang to query where my order was. I was told "be with you shortly." No explanation, no "sorry for the delay". It is now 8.10 and still no sign of my food. This had happened once before. But as regular customers, we accepted that things do happen. But I will never order from them again.
This was certainly our best ever experience at the North Star recently.
Attentive service, good food, ranging from a superb nacho platter to a lovely rump steak served with all the trimmings.
Great apple and cinnamon slice for dessert.
Nothing too much trouble and a 20% blue light discount.
Great value, great food
We stumbled across this pub after a bracing walk on the nearby Wiston Estate. Our greeting was friendly, helpful and welcoming, we both selected the salt beef hash from the menu and it was utterly delicious. If the rest of the menu is as good as this dish, you will be assured of a great meal. The decor is a rather dated but don’t be put off - the fabulous service and food more than makes up for it.
What a find. We have had the most wonderful experience at Tern, with excellent service and sublime food. Strongly recommend this fantastic restaurant at the end of the pier in Worthing. Special mention to Nancy, whose knowledge and expertise added to really amazing meal. Well done Team Tern, we will be back.
Really lovely friendly staff and excellent tasting food. The omelette and chips was an absolute winner, the best omelette I’ve tasted in years and a huge plateful!
All food is freshly cooked and the tables are cleared and wiped regularly. Great location, so close to the sea. We will definitely be back!
Probably the dirtiest cafe I have been in since eating in the jungle of Thailand 40 years ago. Filthy kitchen, plates, cups, and spoons.
My partner and I had a flat white and a cappuccino both of which arrived looking exactly the same in filthy cups delivered by the filthy-looking owner.
Eclectic it may be, filthy it definitely is.
We only had coffee and cake so cannot comment on the rest of the food. You queue at entrance and are shown to a table. Not keen on this as prefer to choose where to sit. The wooden chairs are very hard and with the amount of money spent on this newly renovated cafe it's a shame they didn't put in comfortable chairs like other cafes. Table service was good and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The coffee is excellent and cakes were good.
Today, we celebrated my Husband's 40th Birthday at the Bull. All the staff, and Niall and Heidi were so so helpful and the service was great! Nothing was too much trouble at all.
The food was also amazing! We will definitely be back.
Thank you to you all for helping me make this day special for my Husband ❤️
