Dirty tables and food all over the floor. High chairs were filthy. Kids play area covered in rubbish. Glasses were dirty. All the food was over cooked Staff were nice, and service was good. Needs cleaning though, sticky tables, sauces everywhere; Chips and god knows what all under the tables and dirty cutlery Not good

Had a lovely meal for 3 tonight. Chicken New Yorker was lovely and granddaughter had nuggets which she loved. Lovely surroundings and very good value for money Another visit for lunch today, lovely Sunday lunch thank you for a lovely family meal

We're good old fashioned table service is no longer available also never go there on a Sunday as they seem to have run out of everything including milk for coffee Not very impressed with the service I received.

Staff are incredibly friendly, chatty and informative, easy to have a good laugh with. Meals comes quickly with amazing service. Will definitely be back.

A 5pm sitting on a Sunday for a family birthday (I understand it was that or 8pm, which did not work as there were children involved). When we arrived the staff seemed a little disinterested, just pointed us towards that table at the back. The table was sticky, with bits of food still stuck in places that one of our group sat picking off. A family member did say the stickiness was (hopefully) the cleaning products used. When we ordered food two of us were hoping for the Sunday roast, but were then told the restaurant had run out. Understandable on a Sunday, but a shame we weren’t told this before ordering and were left feeling pressured to make snap decision on an alternative as everyone else had ordered. The food was okay, but nothing special. We were the only people in the restaurant, so the atmosphere couldn’t be helped, but overall below average and disappointing. I won’t be in a rush to return.

Family occasion. Pub/restaurant was virtually empty. We were left with empty plates in front of us for over 15 minutes. Staff were lovely, but seemed to be hardly any there!

An excellent place for breakfast.

We absolutely love coming the the Sussex Yeoman! We are always met with such a warm welcome, especially when we see Dave and Leanne. The service is great and there is a lot of choice on the menu which helps us with a toddler. The TV screens with kids shows on in the booths are brilliant and the price is absolutely fantastic for their menu. Highly recommend for a handy and affordable family meal at any time of day!

Came in for a family birthday, overall was a lovely meal. They were very understaffed, felt sorry for the bar man Sam and waitress Leanne they were amazing considering how under staffed they were. Leanne went above and beyond. Unfortunately one of the kids burgers wasn’t cooked it was raw. Leanne was lovely and sorted this issue for us. So thank you Leanne.

I recently visited the Sussex Yeoman again, and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the value for money was impressive. The food was satisfying, with generous portions and a range of options that cater to different tastes. A special mention goes to Leanne, who provided exceptional service throughout my visit. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. Her professionalism really stood out, and it added a personal touch to the overall experience. I left feeling satisfied and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed meal with great value!

Went in for dinner with my family the other day and i must say the food was excellent, the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, the assistant manager nikki was lovely she was paitent and understanding and made sure the service was great for everyone in my party. I'd gladly come back to eat again

Came for breakfast, was very quiet but not a problem, service from team was good, cutlery not provided by the team working for breakfast was slightly odd, maybe because half of the cutlery wasn't clean and save the embarrassment of handing it out to customers could be the cause... we can see you have a polishing machine, but majority of the forks had food still on them in a mix of clean cutlery.. Hair found in the breakfast was not great, long female hair within the baked beans However overall expectations and experience, wasn't amazing but was horrendous

Had the worst experience in Worthing the other month, 3 of our and on ehad the large steak with chips (which he had only 8) I had the sizzling steak which was congealed and when I mentioned to the server it was not sizzling she walked away) daughter had the double stack burger and it was just as flat as a.pancake, we also ordered 2 cocktails which came just in a normal tall glass and nothing else, when I went up to say this is not what is on the menu and no gin in them just shrugged their shoulders,.foe the steak they did not give s steak knife? And noone came to see how the meal was, sent report to the company but had no reply, would not recommend at all.

Just a very relaxing place to eat in, in spite of lots of families and children around. Excellent food, pleasant helpful staff

Lots of meals not available and garden area was very scruffy.

Went today about 4pm for a meal, had a lovely steak and mini mixed grill. Service was excellent, the young lad made sure I enjoyed with my hungry horse experience and ensured that my meal was to my liking. Food was of a good value for me and my partner.

Went for dinner, took about 15 minutes to get seated. The staff were rude when we went in saying the have other jobs to do. Once seated the table was absolutely filthy and sticky and menus were covered in food. In the end we decided to leave the restaurant and go somewhere else.

Was my Nan's birthday on Monday, so we booked a table at the Sussex Yeoman. Upon arriving, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Drinks came quickly and with a smile. There were 9 of us ranging age wise from 14 to 99, and vegan to carnivore. Everyone had a great choice of food from the menu ( definitely the best vegan and vegetarian selections in Goring ). The food arrived quickly and was really good and tasty pub food. The portions were so large that only a couple of us managed desert....I'm very glad that I was one of them. Great deserts. Overall it's a lovely pub with great staff. Will definitely be returning.

Nice food, value for money but the place needs a damn good clean. The toilets were dusgusting, seemed like they hadnt been cleaned for days, stunk awful. Makes you wonder how vlean the kitchens are. Hardly any customers, food was good and service fast.

Came in for lunch without booking. Greeting was really good and plenty of tables available. Ordered food and drinks on the app, both of which arrived quickly and food was great. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will happily come again.

I need to preface this review by saying that the staff here are great and the food isn't actually poor for what it is, but I will explain why the low rating. Me and my wife stopped here for dinner with our daughter and the staff were really nice and welcoming. Pub was nice and clean and the menu was really impressive, with a huge amount of choice. My wife ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, I ordered the Bangin Katsu banquet and we got chicken nuggets for our daughter who is a particularly fussy eater. All sounded great and thus far the experience had been great. Then the food arrived and it was just unbelievably disappointing. Both mine and my daughter's meals were the same. She had 4 chicken nuggets and chips, I had ten chicken nuggets and chips. But what transformed nuggets and chips into a "Bangin Katsu banquet" was a gravy boat full of Katsu sauce. The "banquet" was also supposed to be served with "famous salt and pepper fries" but infamous is more appropriate as I was greeted with fries as they are with maybe, just maybe, three grains of black pepper. Aside from the Katsu sauce, it was exactly what McDonald's would have given me for a fraction of the price. Next was my wife's crispy chicken sandwich. The menu described it as "a sandwich with swagger, Garlic ciabatta filled with crispy southern fried chicken" I mean there was a southern fried chicken breast, genuinely, no word of a lie, in between two of those frozen bits of garlic bread you get in the freezer isle at any supermarket. Absolutely unbelievable. Wasn't that expensive but still around the £35.00 mark which is a lot for two soft drinks and a variety of nuggets sold as something completely different.

Hearty portions for a great price

Came for lunch and wasn't disappointed the steak was cooked to perfection. Dave the manager and Ronnie our server were very welcoming and friendly. We will be returning soon !!

Came here on a Monday Evening. Ordered buy app drinks separately. After 10mins of order taken waitress came to table and informed that no chicken available for the Mighty Mixed Grill so was offered something else which was chicken goujons. Went to bar to order drinks took 10 mins to get served ( not busy). After waiting an hour for our meals it finally arrived. Service was very poor. Ladies toilet was absolutely disgusting looking as if it hadn't been cleaned for Days.

Came in here after work for lunch and got a chicken newyourker and it tasted amazing service was amazing

Had a pre booked table and was seated very quickly, both myself and my husband ordered the burger sizzler combo, which we have had before and had previously been delicious unfortunately on this occasion the burger was not up to standard, my husband sent his back and got a replacement which again was not upto standard extremely greasy, I ate my meal despite it being not being the quality we had come to expect. I couldn’t fault the serving staff at all, very friendly and helpful and very apologetic, the manager did refund the meal. We were very disappointed as we have been using this restaurant for many and years and never had a bad experience before. A rare child free evening to celebrate my birthday was unfortunately dampened by poor quality food

Popped in on the off chance for lunch 3.8.24. We chose fish & chips with bread & butter. . Food arrived quickly & was piping hot. Both meals looked appetising, were delicious & generous portions. Very attentive staff, thanks to Dave & Leanne who were very attentive. .

Very disappointed, I would like to think I have been a regular visitor to this pub over the last 12 months, sadly not anymore after tonight. For the second time in two weeks we had to send our meal back as the meat was cold. We both had the chicken new yorker from the classics menu & twice in two weeks the chicken was cold. The first time it was taken back to the kitchen to be re-heated, tonight the chicken was taken away & two new portions were prepared to replace them. This of course took a while so we had eaten & finished the rest of the meal before it came back. Why is it impossible to prepare a complete meal & keep it all hot until it reaches our table. The rest of both meals was hot but not the chicken. It is possible it was prepared & left out for service too long before being brought out to us at the table. Whatever the reason it has put both of us right off going back here again which is such a shame as we had enjoyed our regular visits to this pub. Sadly now we are looking for somewhere else to go for our weekly treat night out for dinner.

I like to think that I have been a regular visitor to this pub / restaurant over the last 12 months, sadly the last two visits, including tonight 31/07/24, we both had to send the chicken back as it was cold. Not even luke warm it was cold. The first time this happened. about two weeks ago, the waitress took the chicken which was on a small separate dish, back to the kitchen where it was re-heated but came back piping hot. Tonight however, they took the chicken back to the kitchen where a complete new dish was prepared which came back piping hot. Why can they not manage to get the whole meal co-ordinated & prepared together so it is all hot at the same time. Or maybe the food was hot when it was put out for service but maybe left on the side for a while before being brought out to our table. Whatever the reason it is very sad as we both have enjoyed many meals here until these last two visits. Such a shame but it has put us off now so we are looking for somewhere else to go weekly for our treat meal night.

Went last night for dinner. Sharing combo items missing was not told until questioned with server. Was asked if we wanted to wait for mains well yes off course when we have starters! when mains came out was cold, dry must have sat near some heat for sometime while we were eating our starters, gammon on mixed grill not cooked raw inside, chips on steak meal inedible hard cold and disgusting. Spoke to server who just said sorry would report back nothing else was mentioned for to say would not recommend ever and would certainly not return. Toilets disgusting and dirty wouldn't use them if went my advise!!

Extremely helpful to 3 ladies stranded by flat front tyre. Member of staff changed tyre enabling us to drive home safely. Also had very welcome tea provided

As soon as I walked through the door the service was so welcoming. I ordered the Chicken strips and sweet potatoes fries and it was lovely! Would definitely recommend and I will be returning with my family.
