Tasty China in Worthing

Take away only, sadly never enough variety in the vegetable dishes.

Contrary to some previous reviews-great food. Had always used this takeaway before when it was Yum Yum’s. Hadn’t used it for some time but ordered a house special and spicy chicken dish last night. All delivered quickly and food was delicious. Will use again.

As a vegetarian this is one of the best takeaways in Worthing. What tips it for me is the salt and pepper tofu, which is fluffy rather than crispy. The only downside (for me) is that the salt and pepper seasoning can be a bit hot. Fantastic food all round!

The food arrived in good time and was hot. However, the food was greasy, overcooked. Could not eat the ribs. The egg fried rice had no egg in it and was a nasty brown colour. The chicke baĺls were not round they were long, tough and very greasy. The noodles wer ok. I will never order their food again and ivwould not recommend them.

Very happy with this takeaway, never failed to satisfy so far. 15-20 minutes for collection and food always hot. Good service, when spring rolls were forgotten, they were swiftly produced and and apology given. Pleased to have as our regular, go to Chinese takeaway🙂.

nice food and service is always lovely. never been inside the actual restaurant but ordered online many times. you can easily feed 3-4 people with £20-£25 as the portions are huge and filling.

Have been a customer for a long time but food was over an hour late with no apology or updates. Expected more than just 10% discount. Won't be using again. Time to try Golden bowl.

First visit to this takeaway. Had menu for 4 persons. Enjoyed all dishes My friends also enjoyed the meal. Will certainly use it again.

Have always ordered from here and no complaints. Ordered sweet and sour chicken hong kong style tonight absolutely terrible, was so tough it was like eating leather and some bits inedible, hard to even get fork Into, didn’t seem fresh! Rice didn’t seem fresh. All went in the bin, will not be ordering from them again.

Nice friendly reception and open on a Tuesday, which is very rare in my area. It is take out only. I will be going back for more.

This used to be such a lovely Chinese but has gone down hill the last few months. Staff are so rude and laugh at you over the phone when you complain about the food. The worst place to eat! My partner went here the other night and food wasn’t cooked properly so it gave him food poisoning. He’s never been so Ill from it and he had rice and chicken skewers. Never will I be going here again!

Food was awful will never use this place again

First time we used this place waited over half an hour food plus when we got home had one dish missing rang up told staff she put phone down on us 5 people enter for collection why we was waiting each one of them said girl on front desk was rude such a shame if u go hear order don't go in shop!! safe to say I won't be going back food was horrible and dried

Love the food and such a variety

Been my favourite Chinese place for 10+ years, wouldn’t go anywhere else! Food is always nice, fresh, hot and big portions. The Chinese delivery driver is by far my fav driver, he’s always so lovely, chatty and never forgets us, even when he owned the shop. Can’t complain about anything Would recommend to anyone

I have loved going here for years on years, unfortunately it has been going down hill for a little while now and today was the nail in the coffin. The rice was like.. Porridge and the beef tasted like fish. I've had food poisoning once from this place and gave them a second attempt and they normally hit above the mark. For the last 3 months its gone kaput. I'm really sorry to see this place ruin itself and to not go there anymore. I wish them all the best but I cannot in all good heart say you SHOULD go there anymore.

So my experience of this place... After ordering a fair few times with no complaints I got a bad one. We ordered 27 pounds worth of food and had to call back to say it is not satisfactory, at first it was just my white watered down THAI GREEN curry that was definitely not green and without any coconut milk ( I know my green curry when I see one and it didn't even have a tint of green. It was also pretty much water. I called up and they sent another curry out. It wasn't until my lovely other half opened her duck ( which is the only thing she will eat from the Chinese) we noticed the amount of duck they had given her. It was then that I called back and said that I want a full refund which was pretty much denied. I carried this on and eventually they agreed they will send someone to pick my food up ! ( i feel like my name is now tooobaru as iv never redelivered a takeaway ever !!! Which makes me think this is the kind of place that will take that back and sell it again! My main problem is that it has been 2 weeks now and still no refund after calling numerous times. Apparently they did do the refund but after calling today they said they will show me the confirmation then called back and asked me what date this was, if they made a payment they would have that receipt for confirmation. I will now take time after my 12hr shift tomorrow and collect in cash ! Shame on you tasty china I use to recommend you not no more !!!

The food was really good. We had a good selection all was really fresh, hot and as you’d want. A good Chinese for sure, much better than others around. I will definitely be back.

Ordered chicken balls,chips,rice and curry sauce it was awful chicken balls cooked in old oil so tasted of grease chips completely burnt and inedible curry sauce and rice cold phoned to complain (as ordered from them lots of times before) to a women who didnt seem surprised by my complaint and spoke to the chef or manager who started shouting in chinese and was told next time i order they will give me some free prawn crackers which u generally get anyway safe to say i wont be ordering again and basically loyalty doesnt get you anywhere! Dont waste your money and Avoid at all costs!!!

Not good. Everything tasted the same and that flavour was bland with a hint of cleaning cupboard. At least it was hot and arrived quickly but thats about all it had going for it.

Unfortunately the food arrived nearly 2 hours late. King prawn balls were mainly soft batter, the crispy beef had 0 beef and tasted like pork scratchings, the seaweed was very sugary. The black bean dish was nice, and so was the rice but the rest made it disappointing.

Our lemon chicken was so tough we could not eat it, the chow main was cold and the chilli beef was rank. We have used this business for some three years. Never again. They never even sent a refund. Appalling.

The best takeaway around. The food is always amazing and the staff are so friendly & helpful.

Quick delivery, good food, tasty and good value

We had a Chinese takeaway on Friday evening. It was delicious. We will definitely return! It’s a welcome relief as we haven’t enjoyed the last few Chinese takeaways we’ve had…

We regularly order takeaway from Tasty China and it never disappoints. My son loves the crispy duck and the salt and pepper squid (as do I!) We ordered online this time which worked really well and the food arrived very quickly. They are very friendly and nice people as well.

Absolutely awful. Totally dry over cooked and vile. Practically inedible. Called to complain and was offered a discount for next time. I wouldn't use them again if they paid me to eat thier food. So dissatisfied and disappointed

A really excellent find. We had Singapore vermicelli & szechuan chicken and both were first class. We will definitely be returning.

What has happened to this once great takeaway is a real shame. My last order was £42 of terrible bland food, overpriced and poor quality. In particular the half crispy duck was beyond cremated and had to be identified by beak records. What’s the point in having a comments section on your own website when you can’t be bothered to respond. Last order for me.

Moved to Worthing 18 months ago. Desperately searched for our Chinese restaurant! 6 months ago we found this place, and haven’t looked back since. The food is great. Tasty, hot, good portions, and just super stuff. No other Chinese restaurant locally (and we’ve tried them all) compares. And when you call them (as I have just had to) they are helpful, efficient, and top drawer. The duck is the best, not at all dry, just beautiful stuff... we have found our local Chinese restaurant of choice, and will not look back. Massive fans!

Got treated to a takeaway by daughter which was great. Ready for collection in twenty minutes and all very tasty. Recommend Mixed Hors D’ouevres, hot and sour soup, house special chow mein, sweet and sour prawns Hong Kong style and mixed vegetable curry. Great in the Broadwater/South Farm Road area.

My favourite place for Nasi Gorang!

This is the first time we have ordered from Tasty China as our normal Chinese was closed (we ordered after 10pm) I’m so glad we did as change isn’t always good but I was very impressed from the start, our food arrived within 30mins and was piping hot. The portion sizes are very good. Excellent service & Tasty food. Highly recommended! Thank you Tasty China we will be seeing you again soon.

Decided spur of the moment to have a takeaway. So phoned, didn't even have to give them my address as it came up their end, placed order and it was there well under the hour I was told. Food was hot, well packed and delivered. Was able to pay over the phone, so all good on distancing etc. Always good and usually very quick. Tasty by name, tasty by nature. Love it.

Ordered for the first time tonight for delivery using their online system. Very easy process and was able to stipulate that I have a severe nut allergy as well as choose a delivery time. The food was delivered bang on time, was piping hot and delicious. Portion sizes were good and overall the meal was value for money. Great lockdown treat 👍

Now our takeaway of choice. Always good food and good services! Open Tuesday which is why we first tried it and found it outstripped our previous choice which was closed that day. Not much more to say: great place for takeaway!

Food is good but customer service lacking.

We've just moved to Worthing and thought we'd try a take away from Tasty China. We only had the duck but it was lovely and very tasty. We'll be ordering again.

If I could have left no stars I would have. Ordered on line got told it would be with me in an hour . I hour and 15 minutes later phoned to see where it was to be told it was still in the kitchen. And no idea when it would be here, offered us £3 off the meal which after waiting for 1 1/2 hours for my meal I said no as got no apology for being late. Also meal was over £30.00 This was the first and last time I shall order from this place. Utter Rubbish

Found this based on our most local Chinese being shut on the night we decided on a takeaway! Found Tasty China was open and decided to give it a try: we were delighted. Great menu choices for Japanese & Thai as well as Chinese. Thoroughly enjoyed it and have now “adopted” it as our go-to near us. Needless to say our nearer one has lost our custom due to better, food and service. On line account ordering is also a good addition as well as free delivery. And you get free spring rolls if you spend either £22 or £15 (but either is easy to exceed!!)

My favourite Chinese Take Away, a great selection of vegetarian options, the crispy vegetarian duck and the salt and pepper dry fried tofu are firm favourites (the tofu has a seriously tasty garnish of deep fried garlic and chilli), you can ask for veggie giant spring rolls to order but not at the weekend as they are too busy, but a week day and they'll happily make fresh, these are super tasty. Also a good, robust satay sauce which you can order in extra pots. Nice friendly service and free local delivery. Good portion sizes too.

Never had a bad meal, always fresh and tasty, the udon noodles were spicy and I can recommend the salt an pepper chilli ribs.

Food good , service with a smile

Have ordered takeaway from their extensive menu a few times now and can confirm it is very tasty, had to wait an hour for my order as this is a very popular place but came on the hour as promised.I don’t mind the wait as the food always taste so fresh, will definitely be ordering again.

Our usual place was closed and this had 4.5 stars on google. Food was delivered in less than an hour and still hot. Their menu is varied and reasonably priced. Loved the Duck Fried Rice and the Prawn balls. All portions were generous and with plenty of meat, the duck was very meaty, not just the fatty scraggly bits. No slimy chicken. Noodles were tasty. Satay chicken was nutty and with a mild kick. The prawns were a good size and plenty. We will be using again. Spent £43 among four and we always order too much.

Luckily I couldn’t leave no stars salt n pepper chicken don’t order it as it’s £4.80 n there’s not 1 bit of chicken init so annoyed as I was starving good job I got chips aswell as can’t really get them wrong straight out out of bag to fryer

When we've had a delivery it's always hot and never late Cannot fault this Chinese it really is tasty and not greasy like other places Had a takeaway this eve and end even though they were really busy the food was faultless!! Keep up the good work Carmela xx

7pm Ordered takeaway, she told me my address which was incorrect,I gave her details and that delivery driver knew where we were, was told 45mins.

Difficult to find a better and tastier Chinese, this place lives up to its name.

First time we have ordered from Tasty China and we were very impressed. Food was delicious and cooked to a very high standard. Delivery was in a timely manner. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

We live near and used this takeaway when it was called Yum Yum. We hadn’t ordered from here since it changed hands but I’m glad I did. I ordered set meal C for two and the food was lovely, chicken, beef and the rice were all good and came with starters, there was plenty of food, more than enough for three of us. Will be back.

Had a very pleasant surprise when I recently used this Chinese takeaway for the first time. The food arrived on time, it was well cooked and tasty and it was reasonably priced. What more could I ask for on an evening when I did not want to cook and our local takeaway had stopped trading. The only problem I experienced was in understanding the accent of the lady who took my phoned order. She had a very very heavy accent which was hard to decipher but I got what I ordered and it was worth the extra time making sure the order was right. Definitely I will use this takeaway again and it will become my takeaway of choice.

Beef in black bean sauce, satay chicken and rice, so good I actually rang them and told them, very unusual! Thoroughly recommend this takeaway.
