Asian Village in Worthing

Visited this place several months ago food was freshly prepared and tasty so thought we would give it another go .to say I was disappointed is being kind .food was terrible reheated chilli beef was inedible to cap it all I woke in middle of the night with stomach cramp and being violently sick will definitely avoid in future.

I decided to try my local Chinese takeaway Asian Village (it’s literally around the corner from my flat but for some reason I have never been there?) So for a new takeaway place, I decided to try a new order. A starter of satay chicken skewers and main of kung po chicken on steamed rice. I have tried chicken satay skewers before elsewhere, but have never had kung po chicken. It was an ok dinner. With 4 fat skewers in the container the satay chicken skewers were drenched in satay sauce (the sauce was almost level with the top of the delivery container). It was a lot thicker than any satay I’ve had before, but it was so amazingly flavourful it tasted better than any I’d had before. I’d definatly have them again. before ordering I had a quick Google search to find out what kung po chicken is like, and information online implied more of a dry mixture, but bursting with flavour and different veggies. Thats why I chose it. When it arrive it was literally swimming in chili sauce to the brim of the takeaway container, and the veg was lacking compared to online descriptiond, as far as I could tell there was only slices of ginger. Chili was the only flavour (still nice) but I’m glad I got the rice to soak up some of that sauce. I think next time I will go back to my usual chicken chow mein.

Food is authentically delicious and hospitality is amazing. We will definitely come back and we highly recommend.

Had the takeaway, mainly vegetarian dishes and are always impressed with value for money, quality and customer service. Our no.1 go to Chinese take away. Mmmmmmm.....

Super quick delicious Chinese food

Possibly the worst food we have ever had! When we called to explain we were met with lack lustre arbitrary disinterest. First and last order from here. Our teenage son walked the bag of disgusting gloop back to the shop and demanded a refund which thankfully was forthcoming.

We went as soon as it opened for dinner so we had fast friendly service,my sister said it was the best chicken she had tasted.

Friendly staff. Made to feel welcome. Table service buffet, eat all you want for £25.99. Excellent choice of freshly cooked food. Will definitely visit again!

Food was bland and tasteless chicken was slimy and plastic tasting, will not use again

Ordered food for delivery all the dishes were tasteless and bland, ribs were grey and in some sort of gravy meant to be bbq, chicken was slimy will not use again

My self and my partner went for the all you can eat buffet for my partners birthday, when we arrived we were greeted by a very stale atmosphere, a fish tank with a few unwell looking fish, quite a limited menu, for an all you can eat resturant, no music until me and my partner were talking and mentioned to each other that it was insanely quiet and you could hear each other eating and my partner was sick afterwards, after being fine all day. We will definitely not be returning. We rung up when we got home and explained what happened to the restaurant and all we got back was well if he is that ill go to a&e and weve never had this happen before, but through asking a local facebook group this seems not to be the case. No offer of a refund/discount until I asked (I know it isn't required but just as an apology would have been nice.) I can't say about the take away as we ate in. Birthday Ruined.

Fantastic menu, especially if you are vegetarian. Delicious food. Super speedy delivery. Complimentary prawn crackers and a beer today! Really nice touch, so thank you. Highly recommend.

Went in as a last a last minute decision... actually wish that I hadn't and ordered a takeaway away pizza instead... Not one soul in the place other than the lady that was serving... and she didn't seem like she had a soul... not that she was rude... just totally bland... blank... I actually felt like I was intruding, as if I was some sort of inconvenience... we were not made to feel welcome in any way. As soon as we walked in around 8.30, the first thing we were told was that they closed at 10! The lady then proceeded to serve us as slowly as possible... it was around 10 minutes before we were even given a menu! To be fair... once our order had finally been taken, the food arrived very quickly... maybe too quick considering that everything is 'freshly' cooked! I know that Chinese is quick to cook, but for 3 different dishes to all come out at the same time... 5 minutes after being ordered... 🤔Hmmm. A sweet and sour pork, Hong Kong style came out with most pieces of pork being hot, but a couple of pieces were stone cold... to the point of almost being frozen! What does that say on your menu... everything freshly cooked!?🤨🤨 Our service seemed to almost stop until I ordered some ice-cream for pudding which was met with a roll of the eyes and a muttering under the breath in Chinese, which I'm sure probably wasn't a nice comment. No sooner had I finished, thebill was then thrust in front of me and swiftly followed by the card machine being shoved in my face... the quickest piece of serving all night! I had hardly finished putting my pin into the machine before the lights started being turned off and the door literally being slammed on my heels on the way out... at 10 minutes before they closed! I have only given the 4 stars for the atmosphere purely because I enjoyed the company of my lovely wife! I don't think I'll be visiting again...

£22.99 for the All You Can Eat. It was a last minute decision to come here on a Sunday and we didn't turn up until 8pm, they stop cooking at 10pm as I rang in advance to check so giving us plenty of time to eat. Lady on the phone was very polite. Shame the lady serving when we arrived wasn't the same. The minute we walked in I felt like we had annoyed them. Food was pretty standard, cooked very (almost worryingly) quickly! It got to 9.30ish and we felt even more uncomfortable being there (despite them still receiving take away orders), even had an eye roll when my husband asked for ice cream. Promptly handed us the bill the minute the last spoonful passed his lips, we paid, lights were turned off before I could even put the imperial mint in my mouth!! I know it was a Sunday and pretty late, but I advise to just close early and offer just take away if you are going to get annoyed with customers turning up when still open.

Went here for my birthday meal last night, it was delicious, done the all you can eat menu, and loved every dish, highly recommend coming here. Drinks was cheap to :)

All you can eat is great and food is super tasty! Especially the duck! Have been a few times now and never disappointed. Think it’s really worth your money and staff are very friendly!

Had a takeaway tonight and have to say it was absolutely shocking. We had BBQ spare ribs as a starter, tough and in some sort of gravy Chicken satay was water filled and zero flavour, absolutely dreadful Sweet and sour pork balls - tough and tasteless Shredded chilli beef - tasted ok but tough Rice was good … Won’t be going back

We used to order here years ago when we first moved to Worthing and before we discovered Tings. Unfortunately Tings is closed on a Monday so we thought we’d give it a go again. Soup was really salty. Sweet and sour chicken was quite soggy. I was surprised we didn’t receive prawn crackers with our order being over £20 but it transpired you need to pay £23 to get them free. I’d paid that by the time I tipped the driver but they weren’t to know I suppose. I won’t use them again but I’ve had worse experiences.

Excellent service and great food

Went yesterday afternoon at 4:30 8-7-23 when they had just opened for the all you can eat for £22.99 was fantastic service and friendly a really good choice for menu with plenty of king prawn dishes and appetisers if you are into them it’s great as many others around the area take it off the menu for all you can eat. My opinion is it’s the best one in worthing for dining in.

The service is great but I found the food to be bland and beige. Special fried rice was rather barren. You get what you pay for. The people who work there are really lovely.

This was a takeaway , the quality and taste was like no other Chinese takeaway we have experienced . several dishes , meat tasted like it had been boiled or something and tasteless as were the sauces and then padded out with unnecessary vegetables which other takeaways do not. We ordered several dishes all bar one was inedible the rice was supposed to be egg fried but just stodgy and to top it all dishes only luke warm, as I said just rubbish, so 4 dishes went in the bin after a couple of mouthfuls. Without doubt the worst takeaway we have ever experienced. Avoid at all costs !

Great little spot never disappoints, one of the better spots for a buffet around just needs to work on the drinks price for me is to much for a soft drink especially when it comes out of a 2 litre bottle, wouldn't mind paying that price if it was from an individual small bottle or a tap.

I booked Asian Village for my partners 40th Birthday meal with family and friends. Lovely food, great service, friendly staff, very attentive and great value for money. We all had a lovely evening!

Great buffet with extensive menu.

Ordered a delivery and told 30 - 40 mins, fine. Delivery arrived just over 20 mins later, food piping hot and delicious, large portions so plenty left over. Never been let down or disappointed with them.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery, it took a very long time. Arrived. The delivery person was very apologetic. Then it went wrong. I asked for the food to be returned & it to be bought back within 10 minutes correctly. The delivery person told Asian Village that I has been effing and jeffiing. I told them she was not telling the truth and should be fired. Order did turn up within the ten minutes. However the customer is obviously never right with these people. Never again

The food was absolutely beautiful so many flavours me and a friend went on a Friday afternoon and cannot wait to go back. The staff were friendly and never felt rushed to order food. We took our time and enjoyed it. 5 stars

Was ordered over the phone and went to pick up. Hot, fresh and very tasty!

The street view is not outstanding but once in the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was very nice and there was plenty of it via their all you can eat menu. We had a table for six and stayed for over 3 hours and everyone enjoyed it. Great value for money would give this the thumbs up. Well done!!!!

Plenty of choice for starters, duck dish offered after and choice of main dishes to choose after that. Food is plentiful and is really tasty. Haven't had a single bad meal here. The prices are adults and children is fab, can't go wrong. Service is always really good and staff are friendly and attentive. Have been a few times now and will return again.

We phoned up at 4.45 to place an order. We were told to phone back an hour an half before we wanted the food as they were only placing orders to order. I phoned back at 6.45 and placed our order and was told it was an hour and half wait which was fine. Phoned back at 8.15 to be told ‘what order’!!! Please please please don’t order a takeaway here… it’s not acceptable.

My family and I have been coming to Asian village for years, the food is superb and the staff are absolutely amazing.

Got a meal here on 16/8 vegetable chow mein and crispy lamb , was poor , pretty much just salty noodles , made a complaint which i feel fell on deaf ears, they dont care , well not on this day anyway, its not good enough, super noodles would have been better (no joke) won't go back , poor show 😑👎

I have to be honest and admit I was dreading going here based on previous experience and recent feedback I was given. However, I was really impressed with the food. Very well presented, cooked to perfection and very tasty. Service was great and I would definitely go again. Yum yum yum.

Love this place. The food is always freshly cooked and tasty. The staff treat us like friends and always look after us. Take no notice of the negative reviews. We’ve never been let down.

Been going here for years. Moved 15 miles away and still go hear for sit downs and takeaways. Not anymore after tonight. Drove to collect a takeaway. Get all the way home. All the appetisers go down nicely, until we come toThe duck. Veg out, sauce out and then, where the hells my pancakes and duck?? Never normally get the order wrong so check car, bag, drinks bag, nothing. Think oh well not happened before I will phone and just say credit me next time I come. Poor girl on the phone relaying message to chef who is ranting in background. Basically calls me a liar says it was definitely cooked and sent. I assure her it’s not here and just looking to make them aware. Again chef going mad in background!!!! Felt awful for the girl but being the principled man I am stated that I don’t appreciate being called a liar and said I won’t be returning. This is such a shame but for £6 I don’t think I’d bother making the effort to call and lie about it!!!! Disgusted that they couldn’t just say sorry and next time we will Sort you out. Customers list for life. Customer service should be everything for A business.

I have just had a £55 take away for our wedding anniversary and I can't fault it, it was absolutely delicious, delivered well within the time given and the starters, duck and mains all yummy.

Up until lock down we were regular visitors to this restaurant.We enjoyed it very much,since lockdown have not been able to visit there or anywhere but we missed our times there, but we kept on saying we would have a takeout but it has only now come to pass that we ordered one and we were absolutely over the moon. It has been the best takeout of Chinese food we have had in a long time, fast and efficient and my husband has always raved about your salt and pepper squid , omg We are not getting Chinese food from anywhere else anymore. Thank you

Told the food would arrive within one hour. One and a half hours later called to find our what was happening, to be told another 45 minutes + to wait. Shame that they take orders, and promise a delivery time, and fail to achieve it.

Im sorry to say after excellent phone servive and delivery, the food was a real let down. Most of it went straight in the bin. Everything was way to salty. The only thing really edable was the rice and the seaweed. A real shame.

Never a bad meal here, always super service and the food is always out of this world. Never disappointed. My dad comes over from France regularly and this is the only Chinese restaurants he will dine in. Highly recommend.

We visitted last n8ght with friends Its convenient to where we live, adequate chinese for reasonable price. No frills.Basically the usual fare, lots of deep froed starters, duck in small portions and a dessert where the cheap ness of the ice cream can be felt by the ice crystal texture.It did a job. Mains were disappointing 2 different dishes tasted vertually the same.

On our first visit the restaurant had few diners so we got personal service, but it was difficult to understand our waitress so we did not realise that it was All You Can Eat!

We were pleased with our meal at Asia Village. Not being a huge fan of the re-heated slop that you usually get served up at these places, but i felt the food was of a good standard and the service was decent and we were not rushed. Portion size was good, we left full and the bill was reasonable.Heston Blumenthal wont be shaking in his boots, but if you want to smash into a wide range of chinese dishes this place works well.

Our friend suggested we dine here, after reading the reviews I was sceptical at best. However, what we found was a wonderful reception in a relaxed atmosphere, service was excellent and our needs were catered for beyond expectation. No,it's not 5* but for £15.99 all you can eat we found the food to be served hot, of good quality and a friendly,welcoming service. We weren't rushed as you find in other local "all you can eat" restaurants and enjoyed our evening. Thank you Asian Village,your surpassed our expectations and we will return.

The savoury starters were covered in a very sugary coating. The duck was dried up and hard and the pancakes all stuck together. The pork balls tasteless. We complained and said in our opinion the duck and pancakes had been re-heated. We stopped eating immediately and left but worst was coming. Both my partner and I were up with vomiting and diarrhoea all night!

Nice to speak to on the phone. Prompt delivery for a takeaway as we don’t live very close but food lacked any flavour. Fresh food but wouldn’t be in any hurry to return. Sorry.

First time customers to Asian Village and we all left unimpressed. None of the supposed 'hot' dishes had any spice to them at all, all the mains seemingly had the same sauce, the deep fried ice cream was awful and the staff were disinterested and forgetful.I recommend only eating the starters and the duck as those were OK.

For some reason quality of food has got worst over time, we use to regularly order food from here but this is the 2nd time we had to throw away entire box of noodles, they were awful, we wanted to give these guys benefit of doubt hence order agin but no more.

Great takeaway. Buffet is also very good, the food is always ready incredibly fast - I don’t know how they do it!

Today my husband and I went to dinner with our two children. We had a wonderful time. Nothing was too much to ask and the food was beautiful.

We went midweek and there was four of us. I was really impressed with the food and the service. As a vegetarian I was impressed with the choice I had and all my food was separated from the meat dishes. The staff were very attentive and service was great. I will definitely go back

Had dinner here. Really wish we hadn't bothered. We should have been alerted to the fact there were only three tables occupied on a Saturday night! The starters were average and we were hungry,....until my prawn satay arrived and the prawns were undercooked! My husband's tempura prawns were encased in a heavy batter worthy of a bad chippy, it was so thick that the inside was soggy. .....My Thai Green Curry was the worst I had eaten with slimey chicken and a strange tasting sauce. We gave up on considering any more main courses and opted for pudding. The saving grace was my banana fritter that was lightly coated in batter ( maybe they had used most of it up on the prawns!). We won't be returning.

The food was hot and was delicious! My family and I were extremely impressed with both the food and the service as the staff were attentive even though it was quite busy that night! We will be returning as the food was beautiful and everything else was perfect

Poor! Food comes out in very small bowls vegetarian food on the same plate as meat the chicken was in top of my spring rolls don’t mind but some will, the spring rolls were cold and tasteless. Would not visit again prices have gone up from internet prices. I did not eat and did not pay for my meal.

First visit here and was pleased with the experience overall. Good service and friendly staff. As someone who enjoys a little bit of variety, it was nice to able to have exactly what I wanted at a great price. The portions are the right size for a individual if you are wanting to try a few things and the food seemed to be fresh and to a good standard for what you pay. Would definitely return here to eat again. The only thing I would say was the drinks are a little overpriced but I guess after what you pay for the food it isn’t too bad !!

If you like sweet sweet sugar, and english version of chinese food, then this is the place! The lights were very dim, but the tables were nicely made up. The staff were very friendly but the food was awful. Too much sugar in everything! The sauces were bland apart from the Beef Teriyaki, although that was too sweet also. The menu was eat as much as you want for £15.99 but we really didn't want to eat much more! They add 10% service charge onto the entire bill, so it made it £51 for two of us with a bottle of wine, we could have gone to our favourite Thai restaurant for that price and had a cracking meal with good wine. The house wine was £14.50 and OK but not worth the money! The stir fried mange tout with beansprouts was in fact 2 pieces of mange tout the rest beansprouts! The beef rendang was obviously heated up in the microwave, but it was quite tasty and the beef was tender. All in all, we wouldn't go there again! Sorry

Ordered food on a Friday night, and it only took them about 35min. An till it was on our table. Food was nice and well cooked, nothing to complain. Recommended place, thumbs up.

Good choice of food cooked to order. Beware ten percent service charge added to total bill. Why put a price on the window if that is not the price you will pay?

We had a delivery Chinese last night from here & it was excellent. We had mixed Hors D'oeuvres, quarter duck & selection of dishes. All of it was hot, delicious & the quality of the food was great. We've been looking for a decent Chinese for ages & gave up after being disappointed more than a few times. We decided to try Asian Village last night & we will definitely be using them again. Many thanks guys & girls, know it was a very hectic night for you all last night. We underestimated how long it would take us to walk home last night in time for the delivery, I rang & the young lady on the phone was so helpful & the delivery driver had waited 20 mins for us, he was pulling away as we got to the top of our road, I rang again, and bless him he turned back & delivered it to us, still piping hot, Many thanks for the trouble you went to and apologies from us. Great meal, great service & excellent value for money.

To expensive for the quality of the food terrible paper table cloths and very bland food not very friendly service

Been here a few times now and we decided to come here for our belated Christmas dinner. As always the food and service was excellent. Still forgot to leave room for desert. Still to order a dish I don't like and don't thing there's many left I haven't ordered by now. Never feel rushed and food always hot. Recommended.

My wife & I came here the other Friday night. The food was nice and service was good. Not bad at all for the price. The deep fried ice cream was a bit different; I've never seen that before.

We had a takeaway from them recently and found the food pretty awful.

We went to Asian village to celebrate my step daughters exam results. It was the first time we had been but it came highly recommended. At first I hadn't seen it, with its modest front, and had always assumed driving past that it was a take away only. I was pleasantly surprised when I went through the door to find a tasteful fun and energetic atmosphere.

Food is bland and small portions wouldn't go back hear and far to expensive for the quality and bad paper table cloths
