Excellent evening with my family, food and service was spot on!!!!

Unwelcoming on our arrival. Staff were awkward when dealing with my Mother in a wheelchair. One had to ask if we could sit at a table. Food and beverages were very expensive. No drinks on draught. A staff member started clearing up plates while we were still eating and then brought our main meal before I had finished my starter. We were being rushed. Staff were hovering around all the time. We couldn't relax. A Staff member did not ask my mother what she wanted. He said to me "what would she like?" She can speak for herself. Clearly Staff need training in E&D. None of them had any personal/customer care skills. The bill was unclear so we had to ask for it to be explained. After we paid, the Staff did not come anywhere near us to thank us for the custom, nor open the door so we could leave smoothly whilst I was pushing my Mother in a wheelchair. A very poor experience, not value for money, no customer care, rushed and no relaxing ambience. This restaurant can cater for 60 people but there was less than ten diners on a saturday night! Perhaps that should have sent alarm bells ringing. We won't be back.

Unfortunately a poor evening tonight, service was poor and my main meal was not enjoyable dry chicken and poor flavour. Overall a disappointing evening!

New to the area and thought we would give this a try. Bad mistake, and after 40+ years of enjoying Indian food, this one was the worst. Everything is low quality, and tasteless. Shashlik grey in colour and microwaved was awful. "Mint Sauce" was not mint sauce, just a watery sugary concoction which tasted awful. I would have supported this local business on a very regular basis, but the contempt they show by serving up this slop for their customers means it's a definite no go for us.

Always wanted to try this Indian restaurant so we were looking forward to our first time. This is not an authentic Indian…. It’s masquerading! Poor poor food and well I have nothing more to say…..

We were ordinally meant to go to a different restaurant, but we could not locate it On arriving we were directed to the window but we did not want this, as we are not here to advertise any business. The female waitress we had gathered was the manager. She did come across blunt. She lacked curtesy and manners. The menu arrived. My mate picked his usual but I was not too keen. Every thing on the menu has been cooked in a thick buttery sauce. Most Indian restaurants have loads of containers of sauce delivered to the restaurants. This restaurant would not cook the food without the sauce.. The food arrived. I should have sent my pawns in filo pastry back as i had order butterfly pawns. Clearly what i had received looked the same from a supermarket. The bill, thank God he was paying and he is just a friend. He did not bother to check his bill. I expect that the restaurant charged us for a hefty tip. I told him check as he may have been over charge as the bill was just over. £95.00. He did not.

Poor qualily over priced, beers over priced not King Cobras very expensive popadoms not complementary, poor service.

New Year's Eve, early evening. Given a time to vacate our table which was fine as we hadn't booked. Then given the bill 20 minutes before our time slot was up, hadn't finished my drink and we weren't asked if we wanted anything else. Not even a goodbye or Happy New Year. Very disappointed!

03/12/23. A stormy night in Broadwater. Decided upon a late evening meal. Plenty of seating available at the time. Classic Indian food fare. Well priced and good portion sizes. Alcohol is sold here. Pleasant ambience. All in all a good experience. Worth a revisit.

We arrived without a booking about 9.30 on a Friday evening, having unexpectedly been unable to eat elsewhere in Broadwater. Was a bit worried that they may not serve as it was getting quieter, but we ended up having a lovely meal/drinks. We left about 10.30ish and although we were the last in the end at no point did we feel rushed out. Food was tasty and the price felt about right. First visit, but would definitely return

After the second time of being delivered first time was freezing cold lovely and hot the second arrival. Was really looking forward to it as the rest of the family had ordered something else (straight from the container to the plate before any Karen's say I put it in there, or must have jumped on the plate 🤣(i dont come from that kind of household to have things like this crawling, flying, jumping around)- I was starving and really looking forward to it, I also spend ALOT on takeaways, not where I would usually get a curry from family members said apparently a nice restaurant), anyway I had already eaten some before I noticed this little buddy cooked in to the tomato. I called the restaurant again tried to keep my cool untill they basically accused me of putting it there, the actual response was they don't cook with things like that on there menu (as if I had ordered the wrong thing because that dish shouldn't involve beetles) i said i would hope that you dont have beetles on your menu, they then proceeded to have the delivery driver come and examine (he laughed because it was so blatant what it actually was I made him take a picture of it also) because it was a herb or spice accoringding to the man from the restaurant, my response was your more than welcome but as far as I'm aware spices don't have 6 legs. Both orders were returned and he was unhappy that the beetle was not returned so he could investigate himself you can clearly see it was cooked into the food, and again a refund is not something I'm bothered about I'm more bothered that it was in the food in the first place and your then accused of putting it there, £22 worth of food just for one person (with numerous other take aways arriving for the family as we all wanted different), isn't really something that would effect my life, it's the lack of responsibility taken and every excuse given that it's firstly a herb or spice then when that didn't work I apparently put it there, then i didnt and it must have jumped in between transference of the container to the plate to the living room (1minute max with the plate and container always in sight because i was soooooo hungry by this point🤣) My obstruction to them having the beetle back to be investigated is simply because it will be going else where to be investigated. Safe to say curry will be off my list of regular takeaways for a while. To accuse me and think I would ruin my own food on purpose is the most stupid thing I've heard what do I gain from it next time take responsibility and that's if your be getting a next time for much longer. The bug has been sent off for inspection/investigation and a full report will be added publicly for people to see it was cooked in your food.

Not the best food I've eaten. The meat was dry. Although we ordered different meals, they all looked the same. There were 10 of us, and not everything arrived at the same time. Won't use again!

Being a chef and restaurant owner , i never had such extremely rude behaviour in hospitality industry. 1)Recently we went to this restaurant we were the 3rd customer with group of 12 adult and 3childern 2)All of sudden one raciest middle age lady came to order 3) all of sudden that lady started forcing us you can't order 6 curries if you want later any thing I won't take orders she started to force us order more 4) we politely refused we knew how much we can eat then she started talking rudely and straight away told us ,she won't take any more orders ,If we want anything after our first order even a SINGLE NAAN BREAD. She won't serve . What ? She said no for 15 people . 5) I see people have had similar bad experience at this place and have been treated rudely and no respect towards customers... Disgusting service . Notes for the owner : if you want your business in the market than YOU MUST HAVE. To kick that lady out of your business .

The food is always really good and a cut above the rest. Luckily it's on my doorstep aswell!

onions were not cooked in all 3 currys. 2 had no flavour and the 3rd was overwhelmingly sweet. probably one of the worst currys we've had in a restaurant

Regular visitor to this restaurant. Normally fairly busy at weekends. Certainly recommend the place for a nice meal in great surroundings.

Food was lovely. Waiter bought the bill over to us with out us requesting it as he needed us to leave in 10 mins because they needed our table for the next booking at 9pm. Didn’t get to end the meal with a coffee just rushed out the door.

Good food in a local Indian restaurant. We went as a group of 15 and there was no trouble with any of the food. It all came out all together and hot. Food was good quality and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back and recommend the restaurant to others.

Just received our order from Nooris and seeing as it’s New Year’s Eve it arrived within 20 mins of ordering! The food was fantastic. There were a few bits missing but after a quick call the items were dropped off very quickly along with a few extras as an apology. Very happy!

Good food and atmosphere. Would have felt better if staff wore masks which would have got 5 stars (obviously first review was 4 stars) Update Returned for another visit as wife wanted to go back on her birthday and we took friends. Still no masks and this time the waiter that served us was so unfriendly. Didn't leave a tip ( which I normally always do at any restaurant) but asked for leftovers to be packed to take away as again the food was good. Apart from a "huff" from the waiter I wish I hadn't taken it and more so hadn't eaten it next day.. lets leave it at that.

Ordered a curry last night from nooris and requested it for later but arrived an hour early and rice was luke warm, disappointed.

We were recommended to this restaurant. Very disappointed. Bharjis were really oily and not crispy. Chicken samosa had one piece of chicken in it. As for the chicken tikka, the onions that came with it were raw. The chicken balti was just ok. The staff seem to want to get rid of you quickly - clearing away my partners plate before I had finished my meal.

Tasty food, nice place. We went as a big group for a celebration and were well looked after

Been there a few days back after lockdown, I have asked for a well distanced table which they have been able to provide. The food was very good, very similar to other places. The only downside was that the food was warm, but not hot as other places we have been. Definitely worth a go, and you take it from there.

We’ve been ordering takeaways and sat in for over 2 years now, however after the rude waiter this evening, we won’t be coming back again !! They got my partners order wrong on 2 occasions and tonight he was again so rude !! Not rectifying the matter atall ! So I’m afraid we will not be recommending or ordering again. I think If the owner and his wife had been there, this wouldn’t of happened, as they are always so lovely and helpful.

This is the best Indian food I have had in a long time. Great service. Amazing dishes, friendly team. I’m a huge Indian food fan and have eaten at hundreds of restaurants over the years, this is the best in SO long!!! Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our meal out here on Monday. The food was excellent, hot and tasty and the service was excellent. It was quite busy for a Monday night but our waiter could not have been more helpful. Also as part of the government scheme it was really good value. Hope to visit again soon. Thank you for a great experience.

My boyfriend and I went here and the food was amazing!! This restaurant offers a great menu, relaxing atmosphere and fantastic service.

Worst indian we have ever had not even edible all went in the bin Lamb madras - unable to chew due to tough meat sauce tasted like sweet and sour no spice or heat at all ,and had burnt bits in it. Chicken biryanny inedible as covered in sugar for some reason also dry chicken. Vegetable curry tasted of pure sugar too the entire meal was sweat dry and burnt and went in the bin complete waste of money and had to re ordered from a different Indian takeaway .

Not authentic Indian restaurant. The service is very poor. The chapati / roti they serve is actually from supermarket. Server lady was eating while on service. Chef there catered to my dietary requirement and was a good man.

We went for Christmas Dinner. Some of the food was ok, but for the most part it was cheap and nasty and £35 per head for each meal. Service was ok, but person who greeted us on entry had some personal hygiene issues. Won't be going back

Waited 30 minutes before staff even acknowledged us and we had to ask to be served drinks. Tried multiple times to get staff attention and they all looked away from the table as we did, extremely rude. Wasn't particularly busy in the restaurant, food service was OK and food was average.

Visited here with my husband and our dear friend from the States. Had a lovely meal , the lamb starter , cheese naan, chicken Chom Chom! Super friendly staff, will return again.

We visited Noori's with friends last week. The waiters gave the impression that our being there was a nuisance. We were greeted by "How many Popadoms?" Only after the Popadoms arrived were we provided with menu's. Our starters were fine, my chicken chat was good. When it came to the mains, i ordered 'chicken tikka/tandouri kerai' which was classified as "spicy" unfortunatly it tasted more like a chinese dish, lots of onion, gravy and some chicken (you wouldnt know it was tikka) but "spicy" it was NOT. The prices were reasonable at £55 per couple, including beer and wine.. Our general opinion was the same, all the dishes were sweet rather than spicy.. The naan breads were good. By 10pm the waiters were busy re-laying tables and polishing glasses. Trying to attract their attention was difficult. Conclusion: there are many other, much better Indian restaurants within a couple of miles of Noori's, we won't be returning.

The food didn't meet my expectations

Service was efficient but a bit rude when the waiter loudly cut in for attention. Chappatis were shop bought- not home made so my wife sent hers back. Our main meals were good although the prawns were well chewy from overcooking. Happy to try somewhere else next time. Nothing special.

Not remotely authentic food. Very typical of poor value Tandoori' food down along the South coast, sadly. Just unmarinated chunks of meet thrown into ghee-soaked sauces without proper freshly ground spices. Ultra chewy poppodums too. Avoid.

I had a chicken biryani as a takeaway. It was dry and the vegetable curry only filled half the container. Not even the chapatis could save the day as they were hard and dry too ,It all went into the bin.🤨

We arrived to a quite quiet place that got busier and busier! Good atmosphere, great food and overall satisfactory visit. The restaurant was very clean and has a good amount of decor. Spacious restaurant with a varied menu. The food is of the highest quality, the balti dishes bring a favourite of mine. Recommended.

!0 of us went here on a Saturday evening. Place wasn't that busy. Nooris is surprisingly larger than it appears from the outside. Pleasant enough decor & furnishings. Service was very attentive without being obtrusive. Food very nice & averagely priced. All in all a very pleasant evening out.

Great easy over the phone order waiting time 45 minutes Saturday night. Food arrived like warm rubbery chicken in my tikka masala so I decided to leave it. Cold onion bhajas naan bread cold. Really disappointed .

Nice food but no atmosphere and food is pricey

Used to go to Norris in Ship Street Brighton after work om Fridays. The owner now runs this restaurant while his brother runs the one in Brighton. Good selection of food for my vegetarian sister in law. Masses of choice for carnivores. The only pity is the absence of genuine Indian deserts, which I love but are apparently not popular. Speedy but not intrusive service.

We visited Noori's this evening for the the first time as we were in the Broadwater area. The restaurant itself was pleasant but the staff were unenthusiastic and the food quite poor. We ordered two dishes from the 'specials' menu, Tamarind and Jungle, we'll all I can say is that if these were special then I hate to think what the unspecial curries were like. The fact they arrived four minutes after we ordered showed they hadn't been specially prepared and as for flavour and texture they just really weren't great.

Myself, my other half, my mum and some friends have a curry night every 6 weeks or so and always come to Noori's! We defected to another restaurant once but returned swiftly as nothing compares to here. The food is always piping, fresh and just fabulous! The staff are always friendly and helpful, despite there sometimes being a language barrier. Well presented restaurant, fabulous food (also available as takeaway which never fails to be amazing too!), and lovely staff. This is why we always come back!

Wanted to put a zero. Food mediocre at best. Really rude staff. Manager especially rude. Avoid like the plague! I miss the The Jafran.

Booked a table for 5 of our friends to celebrate wedding Anniversary. I sat to the table and as I pulled my chair in a staple from underneath made holes in my jeans and laddered the material. After our meal I spoke to the manager and explained what had happened, to my surprise he walked to our table and started inspecting the chair in the middle of the restaurant with everyone looking on. Because of the way they dealt with this problem a table of very drunk men shouted abuse at me and this was not dealt with by the staff at all. To cut a long story short and hopefully never to be repeated. The manager should not have caused this to escalate and he should have understood what I was saying and deal with it. They had applied too much drink to a party of bored men and then just stood back and let them become verbal and violent towards us. I have never felt so angry and upset and I will never set foot in that restaurant again. I had to give one star as you have no minus button.

Miserable staff. Arrived Sunday evening at 10pm. Was told quite briskly that they shut at 10.30pm and I'd better order quick. When asking the details about a particular curry the waiter was brusque as though irradiated I should ask details. 1 pint of Cobra, 1 glass red wine. £10.45. Expensive. Wanted to take the bill so I could check it was correct. They refused to let me have it until I insisted. To which they went and wrote it out again. Curry itself was ok. Nothing special. Won't be going back.

Another experimental night where we let the staff choose our meals for us. It's so nice to enjoy the flavours of something new, something only Noori's appear to be able to offer. After nearly 3 years of regular attendance and still they manage to get our taste-buds dancing. Great venue, friendly staff, super service, amazing quality food, excellent experience - recommended any day of the week, every time!
