The Lazy Brunch Kitchen in Worthing

I have visited this cafe twice now with my father in law who is in a wheelchair and frail. Both times the staff have been so welcoming, not minding me doing furniture moving to get dad into a spot where he will be happy. They have also been very understanding about my requests for the way dads drinks are made. We haven't eaten there yet, but the food looks lovely and everyone I have seen has cleared their plates. They also have a children's play area for younger children. I would recommend this cafe to everyone.

Mi madre vino desde bexhill para comer y tomar. El lazy cocina brunch era muy acogedor y amable. Muy limpio y con una decoración preciosa. La comida era estupenda sin duda tome mi madre volver allí, es un gran valor para su dinero. Ah, y si quieres probar una batidos debe hacer que todo tipo de sabores. Sigan con el buen trabajo chicos.

Always good food, friendly staff who like to have banter with a pleasant atmosphere. I would highly recommend.

Can't really understand some of the other reviews! Great breakfast/lunch every time I have visited, would most definitely recommend.

He estado en este establecimiento desde que abrió sus puertas hace 3 años. Tengo el desayuno o el almuerzo y el té de la tarde, a veces al menos 3-4 veces a la semana. La comida se sirve siempre cómo me gusta y el buen servicio. Intentan acomodar las peticiones más fuera del menú y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Es muy transitada, la mayoría de días y he tenido que buscar comida en otro lugar en un número de ocasiones. Con un personal de 4 camareras, en un pequeño café, dice algo sobre el lugar. Es un lugar muy famoso local.

7º jueves Abril - 1340 horasfuimos a tomar un almuerzo rápido con la familia. Porque el café estaba lleno nos paramos cerca del escritorio/sirve hasta. Nos vimos un horror en mayores señora que estaba cortando la tarta para servir a un cliente. Ella cortar la tarta con un cuchillo y el cuchillo limpio rápidamente limpiado los dedos con ella desnuda y luego lamieron los dedos. Luego utilizamos el cuchillo pena continuar a reducir el siguiente trozo de tarta. Absolutamente repugnante!! Nos recomienda la gente que había a pedir por su propia seguridad higiene! Luego nos fuimos y nunca rápidamente jamás volveré.

Similar to other posters, they just didn't want to know about an order we were doing for the office. No ketchup, then on the phone they were very rude. Just to compound the problem they started singing "Up The IRA" down the phone and started making farting noises. Nice sarnie, but disgusting customer service.

Ordered sandwiches for people at work. No sauce put in any sandwiches even though ordered in all. The service was horrendous and the staff were very rude and did not look like they wanted to work there. Food was overcooked and cold.

Nos metimos en este café ya que parece ser la única por la hilera de tiendas en esta parte de Goring Road.La cafetería tiene baños limpios, sin embargo, el personal no parecen estar interesados en su trabajo.Nos las arreglamos para encontrar una mesa nosotros mismos, y nuestros pedidos para algunos desayunos y bebidas fueron tomadas bastante rápido.La comida es un poco caro para lo que recibes. Uno de los desayunos que no querían que los huevos pero nos preguntaron si podían ser reemplazado con un trozo de tocino. Nos dijeron que no sería un cargo adicional que me pareció un poco mezquino, ya que no hay problema en otros lugares en los que hemos ido.Mi café sabía como una máquina hizo uno, y era muy débil.La comida era deliciosa en la justicia, aunque el tamaño de la porción era normalito, teniendo en cuenta el precio que pagamos.Había una zona de juegos para niños pequeños, que me pareció extraño dado gente sentada cerca de tener o personal brindar comida caliente y bebidas.Probablemente no vienen aquí de nuevo.

Vivir en la zona y hay muy poca variedad de cafés en esta zona. Sin dejar de ir completamente excepto la comida es buena. Excepción a esto es más pequeños platos muy caras.problema con el personal, en su mayoría jóvenes y sólo necesitan capacitación, pero directora es lo peor de todo. Uno pensaría que estaban haciendo un favor al que sirven, a menudo tras una larga espera en la que nadie ha reconocido. Estuvimos hablando una camarera llegó a la mesa y ladrar en nosotros.

Comida por encima de la media para un sitio como éste. Sólo por mi penoso vajilla - rotos tazas, platos y en teteras, etc. ... y el servicio no es tan genial. Si vas a ofrecer una atención al cliente una teteras realmente manky paredes y te piden que ha cambiado, una disculpa debería no le vendría mal. Una actitud malhumorado no es realmente necesario. Es una pena.

Went with two friends for coffee and cake today wed16th, staff were lazy! Part of order never arrived,no apology,staff seemed unhappy in their work and not interested in customers,I am local but will not go there again and will advise friends, coffee ok from a machine,as usual, food old.

I visited the establishment last month and was utterly shocked by the (who I am assuming) was the manager/owner's attitude towards customers AND her staff. She was rude and, if I was a waitress at this cafe, I would not stand for it. Nobody deserves to be spoken to in such an appalling manner. She also sounded off with a few customers and was clearly in a bad mood. It was highly unprofessional. The service from the waitresses was great and they were friendly and attentive. The food was fine, although slightly overpriced, but overall pleasant. Overall, a nice establishment however I do believe the manager should learn some manners and speak to her staff like human beings and not her slaves.

Went it for lunch wasn't busy in there at all so I have no idea why the service was so terrible, staff weren't friendly at all and felt as though I had to personally get up and find someone to receive any service, almost felt a though I was the waitress! I ordered a rose lemonade and my partner ordered a latte, the glass for my lemonade was filthy, scratched and looked as though it was one of those free coca cola glasses from McDonald's, classy! The latte came in a scruffy mug and didn't even look like a latte. I ordered a BLT and instantly felt sick when I opened up the sandwich, the bacon didn't even looked cooked, it was more fat than actual bacon, it came to the table looking very messy I had to have it sent back, but of course the waitress was totally unfriendly and seemed as though it was my fault the food was awful. No apology from her either!! Not once were we ever asked if our meals were okay, the staff weren't attentive at all and didn't seem to really bother or care! My partners cheese toasty looked alright, he didn't complain though because we was so hungry! After our food, we decided to have brownie sundae, I asked if I could have a different ice cream to mint but nope that was completely unreasonable of me to even ask! So I asked for one brownie sundae and then just a brownie, what came was yes one brownie sundae, with the "homemade" mint icecream (just tasted like vienneta) which was alright it just looked a mess and tasted cheap. And the plain brownie came in a sundae glass smothered in cheap whipped cream! Honestly, was probably one of the worst places I have ever been to! And I most certainly won't be visiting again any time soon! Absolutely gross, cheap tasting food and absolutely dreadful staff and service!! DO NOT EAT HERE

We popped in here yesterday for tea and a cake and were bowled over by how nice it was and how lovely the owner and staff were, really made us welcome. Today we made a return trip, this time for breakfast. Everything was good quality and cooked well, staff once again made us very welcome, we have dined at various places on the seafront and in Worthing and this is our new favourite. There is seating outside and it welcomes children..... there is also good access if you have someone disabled with you. Parking is directly opposite and free.

Had coffee here with a group of friends. The coffee was very nice and the ambience pleasant enough. The food menue also looked quite good. What really lets the place down is the service - both the girls who served us looked like they'd much rather be doing something else! When we asked for another coffee each, later on, nothing appeared for ages and when we eventually asked it was clear that our order had been forgotten. This issue of lackadaisical service should really be addressed - there are lots of good places in the Worthing area to choose from. Not sure we'd pick this one again.

I had the opportunity to eat here last week with a good friend. Lovely food, area smart, clean & well presented. We sat outside so had to guard our plates when finished as there was the odd seagull flying around. The food was lovely, service a tad slow and the staff not that quick to take empty plates away - hence the bombardment of seagulls which can be a bit off putting. Would go there again but, would eat inside. Menu seemed pretty extensive altho we only had JP's & salad they were yummy and cooked to perfection.

This is really just a cafe but it does everything from a cup of coffee to a full three course meal. There is only limited parking but many park along the coast and then enjoy the walk along the sea. Well worth a visit, especially on a nice sunny day.

I went here for lunch with my boyfriend on the day of the farmers market last Saturday, having been several times before, usally just for a drink though. The service has definitely gone down hill since i last ate here, and i didn't recongnise any of the staff so can only assume maybe a change of staff since my last visit. It was busy in there so we expected that we'd probably have to be patient, but our patience was definitely tested, after waiting 15min for our order to be taken (we weren't actually sure if we had to order at the counter now or not). My boyfriend had wanted a cooked breakfast and we were a little disappointed that they stop cooking them at 12......with Brunch in their name, you'd expect an all day breakfast on the menu. Wasn't too much of a biggy though as he went for the burger, which he said was really good.I ordered the club sandwich, which again, was really good, although think its a bit much to have to pay an extra £1 to have it toasted - a club sandwich by definition, is made with toasted bread! Their thick milkshakes are fantastic and i always have one, when i go there.The food took nearly 40mins to get to us, which is ridiculous as most of the other people in there when we arrived were eating already - we were famished by the time it arrived, by which time i ordered another drink as mine was long gone. During our 40min wait for food we had to constantly keep getting up to close the door (which we were sitting by) as every time one of the waitresses went outside and came back in, they just left the door wide open behind them (it wasnt a particularly warm day outside), and im pretty sure one of them was doing it on purpose as shehad seen us and another diner close it several times - they need to get the automatic door closure fixed.The general cleanliness of the place isn't great these days either, with splashes of things up the skirting boards and in need of a "deep" clean and a coat of paint. Dont get me wrong thaqe food here is good, but may be best to go at a quieter time of day in the hope the service improves when they are quieter - i wont be going again soon though.

Lazy brunch is just up the road from our offices and we visit weekly/often more for the best breakfasts and quick, lovely lunches. Staff are friendly and helpful, sometimes making up breakfast orders for our whole office! Would highly recommended.

I went on a sunny Saturday with my partner and his 3 year old daughter. 1- 20min wait for drinks2- our table hadn't been cleared from the previous customers3- waited 50mins for food4- my salad had a bit of plastic in it5- waitresses never spoke or smiled, or even apologised for late delivery or not only food but drinks as well (a couple sitting next to us didn't receive their drinks until 5-10mins after ours had arrived, but they had been sitting down and had ordered before we even sat down at our table! And had already spoken to a waitress once whilst being informed that they had forgotten to make the drinks entirely!!)6- I will always advice people not to go here, I told 2 elderly women, that were about to sit at the table next to us, not to eat here because they would be waiting too long!7- my partners daughter was sooo hungry, we should've got our money back and gone somewhere else!8- as well as it being a sunny Saturday, there was also a small market of stalls down by the shops; this place needed to be more prepared with more staff9- we never got offered any sauces or condiments; whilst another group of people that had arrived after us got their drinks and food before we got ours!!I am still shocked by how badly this place is run. Every person that goes there must be a 'one hit wonder', meaning: visit once and never return.I feel like I could go on forever but I'm sure by now you get the idea.

Looks the part, and nice staff - but a poorly cooked and inedible baked potato and and sweet chili chicken burger devoid of sweet chili soon brought us back to earth. No sauces were offered to us either. In truth we should have rejected the food and asked for them to make amends, but the place was fairly full and we didn't wish to cause a scene.

We used this place a few times and brought friends to it. This morning we went for breakfast, ordered breakfast, the young waitress came and asked if we wanted any sauces with it. We asked for pepper and some brown sauce. The waitress brought some pepper, but the container was empty. I opened it up, had a look inside and called her up to ask for another one. She took this from my hands, only to come back later with it and saying- there is some there, just bang it hard on a table and it will come out. I say, well, it's empty. The girl apologised and disappeared (there is Tesco next door, by the way). She brought some shaker, that had something black in it, like pepper, but it looked well suspicious. I turned it over and read the label: sea salt with charcoal?! My friend went up and asked the staff, what it was. They looked and said- it's black pepper and the cook was using it for years! This is shocking, that someone that has no idea about basic ingredients, like simple everyday pepper, is cooking food for public! What else are they using there? And how come whole restaurant runs out of pepper and staff does not notices it? I would no longer recommend this place to anyone....

Came here for a Saturday lunch. We sat down and the table was filthy and covered in sugar + wrappers. The menus were also filthy and falling apart. Asked the waitress if the table could be cleaned and she was very unfriendly. She appeared inexperienced too so might have been new. The food took ages to come out and was very bland and dry. My wife and I ordered the clid sandwich which had no sauce it it. Would definitely not recommend.

I can't comment on the food but we were a bit desperate for a breakfast type meal (brunch in other words) and knew of this place, last Saturday around mid-day; so we eventually found a place to park and got into the cafe at about 12:10 pm only to be told that breakfasts finished at noon. I had assumed that calling the cafe "Lazy Brunch" indicated that brunch was, indeed, something they 'specialised' in and probably served all day. Not so apparently.The food may be fine but don't go there for brunch after noon (unless your version of brunch is very different from mine) because you will be disappointed and wats eyour money on parking.

My lovely wife and I have just had breakfast here. Having tried many different establishments in the area, the Lazy Brunch comes out best for a great breakfast. The quality of the ingredients, coupled with the way it was cooked and of course the excellent service means it gets a 5 star rating.

Went here for brunch on a sunday morning as a family (there were 9 of us).when we finally found a table we went in and ordered, and went and sat down to wait. Well we waited and waited and waited, we finally then got our drinks. We then waited and waited some more until our food finally arrived. It was nice but well over a hour wait for food is not good. To top it of not even a "sorry to keep you waiting". Sea lane cafe next time..

This is probably the 3rd time I've eaten here. Previously the food has been good & the service adequate. On this occasion my wife and I popped in for a quick bite to eat for lunch on a rare afternoon of being child free! We ordered two salads - thinking that these would arrive promptly & we could then continue with our plans. 45 minutes later I had to "chase" our order - only to be told that the chef was experiencing a busy 'service' (why is this the customer's problem?). When the salads arrived they were missing an ingredient stipulated on the menu. So I complained. The person in charge informed the chef who delivered the ingredients separately in a bowl. I then tried to add pepper to the meal to find the pepper pot not working (again a weak excuse from the waitress). The person in charge did not charge us for one meal and gave us 2 coffees on the house - for which she should be applauded in her manner of dealing with our complaint. Sadly all of this tainted what should have been a nice spot of lunch at our local eatery. The food was excellent, when it finally arrived, but please communicate with your dinners and improve your service! A common theme on these posts...

Beautiful little cafe. Very homely, very attentive, very good value for money. Waitresses are as fabulous as the food. Great place to eat.

Now I will say that some of the staff are very nice but unfortunately the lady who eventually served us was rude, abrupt and with very little customer service. We had to wait for this lady to finish her conversation before we could get served, this took over 5 minutes. Now to her defence we did have small children in our group who of course change there mind, but huffing when the took a bit longer to order! This would be our local cafe but its not that friendly and having worked in resturants for a long time its all about the service.

Visited this lovely family run cafe. The staff were very friendly. The food was excellent and the portions massive. Really can't fault the atmosphere and service here. Most definitely going back.

Lovely menu, one of the best in worthing for choices! Shame about the service, I've only been in twice but on both occasions, even though it's table service, no-one even acknowledged us. On both occassions after 15mins of waiting , I approached the desk and was told, rather abruptly, to sit back down and that they would come to us. That is the only bit of service we have encountered. When it comes to paying, again waiting and being ignored standing at the till for 15mins is standard. Shame. Its a lovely cafe but waitresses all have the personalities of convicts, forced to be there! Such a joke.

I have been here before when it was Doyle's and always had great service. I ordered a ploughman's lunch which came promptly and was beautifully presented on a wooden board. It was tasty, with mature cheddar, warm bread, chutney and salad. Great value for money. There is a large seating area outside, great for sunny days. Also the large area inside the cafe is split into 2 areas with a variety of seats. The service was friendly and the staff were well presented in lime green uniforms. Definitely a place to stop by and grab a bite to eat!

My friends and I popped in for lunch and were surprised to find a menu that is different from most cafes, we all ordered off the special boards and were not disappointed. although we did wait a little while for our drinks but it was extremely busy at the time. We will visit again.

Had the wrong meal put on our table. Then one meal turned up and was finished and waited longer for the rest of our food to come. Poor service.

Popped in for a breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Food cooked to order and the ingredients were of good quality. All in all a nice experience and I will return.

My son, daughter and I popped in here this afternoon for a quick lunch as we were at an all day event at Worthing Leisure Centre whose cafe had run out of everything. Before ordering I asked if it would be possible to be served fairly quickly as we had to get back to the leisure centre. They agreed and I went to get my son out of the car after ordering. I was only parked a few spaces away and by the time I returned we had our food. It was all delicious and very reasonably priced. I cannot praise it highly enough. The decor is clean, bright and modern. The cakes looked delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. A perfect stop. Only problem - it's now upped my food bill as there's no way we can pass this restaurant by when we come to shop in future! Well done - everything a cafe/restaurant should be!

Had a great meal with my wife and friends in this excellent little restaurant which has recently extende its daytime hours and opens friday and saturday evenings. The food was beautifully prepared and presented and Peter was very attentive in looking after us. There was a good selection of wines.We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and will certainly be recomending it to others.

I felt that the cafe/restaurant had no real identity. The breakfast was average, plenty of it but nothing really tasty that makes me want to return.

recently taken over by the present owners just before Christmas !! I hope they do amazingly well here - they certainly deserve to. The staff and owners are just sooooo friendly. My husband and I popped in on Christmas eve afternoon - live entertainment with excellent Irish music and a wonderful atmoshere - just the thing thats needed in Goring !! When are you having the Irish duo back ??? We have been calling in regularly ever since - its always busy during the day and friday and sat evenings. always a good sign - they must be doing something right !!!! The food and service are excellent - a little more Irish music please !! Congratulations on your new venture and good luck.

We had fresh food, beautifully presented by attentive staff. I had rump of lamb with dauphinoise potatoes and a very moreish red wine jus. My partner had steak, cooked to perfection with hand made chips and a green pepper jus. There were plenty of choice tor wine. The menu changes often.......shame its only open friday and saturdays night.Though it is open during the day as a cafe with a lovely lunch menu.I'm definitely telling my friends about this new gem in worthing!!
