The best restaurants in The Vale of Glamorgan South East

We have been going to this takeaway since my son was born 37yrs ago and always have had wonderful receptions from the staff we love the curry amongst other dishes will not go anywhere else even my son still goes there and his children love the curry sauce

I eat at M&M kebabs in Penarth at least once a week, The food is awesome, the pickled peppers are great and it is always very clean.

Observation: Not comfortable with dogs in the restaurant area. Staff appearance and hand cleanliness needs to be much improved.

Waited ages to get served just to be told we couldn't be served hot food because it's "too busy" wouldn't recommend under staffed

No sauce for the churro. Disappointing.

Beautiful spot for a nice meal with my Partner. Thoroughly enjoyed our steaks and the service was fab, thank you, will return!

Pre-booked table for four on Sunday at 2pm, arrived a little early but seated straight away. Has to be lamb on the weekend and it didn't disappoint, washed down with a lager and a black - lush. Impressed with our visit, made all the more enjoyable by our server, unfortunately didn't get her name, as I would have given her a name drop, she is excellent with customers. First visit here but it won't be the last when in the Vale.

This place is poor , poor food , Christmas was only salvaged by the fact we had a get together ( unfortunately ) it happened here . Tables put together to house 12 of us , space for about 10 if lucky , tables all uneven so rocking plates , food sent out tepid missing items , Manager had on good authority from his kitchen ALL meals had been sent out complete ! only thing complete about that experience was it was complete sh*t ! AVOID , locals to the town and to be honest drank here for many a year when I was younger and it isn't a bad PUB *but for food I'd give it maybe a 0.5 out of 10 ( The .5 ) was only issued because the waitress did her best ( she and the bar staff were good ) . *The manager was so dismissive , delayed visiting our table so we couldn't get a round of complimentary drinks ( it had gone 4 pm ) and only just had our pudding ! They sat us down late and made to feel from then on in that WE had been the problem , @£58 per head you'd expect different . We had paid up front ( if we hadn't that bill would not of been paid ) in total they took £876 of us that day , it was not worth 87 pence . Shame on you Marstons , dire experience , sure the microwave was playing up because the word CHEF cannot be used , everything was like the fake Aunt Bessie stuff from Lidl . PANTS

Very disappointed, family came over from England & I said how good the food was but it was a disappointment for £200. The turkey roast tasted like processed turkey, the pie of the day was chicken & bacon, should have been called carrot pie with a hint of chicken, the dirty fries with chicken, the chicken was so overcooked it was inedible as it was so hard, the turkey burger was the same dry as a bone. Extremely disappointing.

Lamb burger was lovely smash burgers good but very small portions chips and cheesy garlic bread £5 for 4 slices of what seemed to be from Iceland very expensive kids meal chicken goujons only 2 coupons fine for a toddler but not 8 yr old

GONE DOWNHILL massively, nephew had a cheese pizza from here last night and got food poisoning. Would stay far away from this place now as I know its just going downhill even more!!

Three women stood behind the counter took an age to take our order then an age to bring it out. £26 for fish chips chicken nuggets. Don’t offer take away boxes, won’t give take away bags. Disinterested, rude and ignorant. Plenty of good chippies around I would avoid this place like the plague.

Unbelievably bad dinner in the bar with my wife and adult daughter 11th February. My wife had soup of the day, no issues. Me and my daughter (visiting from London) had burger, Welsh burger and regular beef burger respectively. My daughter commented that the burger was the worst she had ever tasted, we were unaware what was to come. Within 3 hours after the meal, my daughter had violent diarrhea at home. I started being ill a few hours later, normally a person with a stomach of steel, I was ill all through the night, diarrhea, stomach cramps, sickness and sweating. I contacted the Vale hotel the following morning to inform them there was a potential contamination issue and provided details to prevent other customers experiencing similar issues. After being informed I would be contacted, 12 hours later no reply. Extremely disappointing customer service, fully representing the already poor rating on trip advisor. My advice, don't eat at this place.

Beef tough,had to ask for a steak knife,not enough vegetables.Went home hungry,dont waste yor money going here.Went home and had food in the house as it didnt fill me.

Fab service from lovely staff, who provided coffee, ice cream and cake even though we arrived after closing time! Will definitely visit again.
