The best restaurants in The Vale of Glamorgan South East

Worst chips I've had in a very long time. They've been going downhill some time now. But I won't be back in a rush.

Used to be my go to when we had visitors it's still good but not the best anymore Having said that on the last two occasions we ordered, it was peak ordering time.

We had bacon bagels, hash browns and very nice coffees! Really enjoyed! Only downside, we had no idea where the sugar etc was and had to ask.. But all in all, we will return! 😊

So, I booked a table online earlier in the day, turned up to be told that they couldn't find my booking because he had done all the online bookings the night before so hadn't updated the list, but he could "squeeze us in". Just 2 of us. By the time we left, I counted 31 empty seats so less than half full. Given menus and told to order at the bar and cutlery was "over there" if we wanted any! Being sat next to the bar, I ordered some drinks while deciding which steak to have, not a hard decision seeing as there's a choice of sirloin or ribeye.... Went with the sirloin. Asked me to pay when I was at the bar which I thought very unusual for a restaurant. Went to the table to get our knives/forks, surely the least they can do is set a table??? Took in the surroundings while waiting for the food, pink flowers all over the feature wall which looked out of place, terrible music which sounded even worse playing though what ever device they were using behind the bar. Food didn't take long to come and wasn't bad to be fair, alough it was served on a cold plate. Sauce didn't resemble any peppercorn sauce I'd ever had before and reminded me of baby puke. Ate and left without any sort of service such as being asked if the food was ok. Don't think I'll be returning

my drink was tipped over and I didnt realize , it went on my bed and now I've got a stain on my quilt. if their not strong enough to do their job they shouldn't be doing it. he didn't realy thank me for the tip.

We ordered a couple of meals and our drinks were missing and the chicken strips were squishy with an awkward texture. Tasted great, just had an odd texture.

Food was inedible and undercooked- bacon looked as if it was still oinking!! Hash brown and fried slice swimming in oil and soggy for this reason- oh and cold sausage! Won’t return and wouldn’t reccomend!

My go-to kebab shop! Food is always piping hot and delicious. Best garlic mayo ever!

I asked for no mayonnaise. Twice. You absolute clowns. And my husband asked for no coleslaw. And chips... which you charged him for but didn't give him. I assume you're still in business because you're the only place that's open after 10pm, but that doesn't mean you have to be this dire.

Wanted to order an couldn't check out as the store was closed even though it was only 9.30 Haven't ordered from them for ages an wont be bothering again

Great pizza, but they were late again 3rd time in a row. plus the food was luke warm.

Very poor service, struggled to get our table on arrival along with very poor table service from quite an abrupt young man. I ordered the mushrooms as a starter and was served some very dry toast with a few mushrooms and barely any sauce. When I asked if I could have some more sauce I was told no as it was an exact portion! The food was generally poor!

Awful experience. Over an hour wait for food ( no prior warning given) Child's chips arrived covered in salt and inedible. When I complained I was told the chef seasons the chips before they leave the kitchen. I pointed out than non of the six adult meals we had ordered had salt on them, waiter just shrugged and walked off. Such a beautiful setting but the service was shocking. Won't be returning.

Ordered shish kebab and fries, was served in one box’s soggy fries & an additional wrap. So disappointed with this meal, once was the best take out in Dinas but is now mediocre at best. Time to find another take out..

What a terrible meal I got, dry chicken, stale bun. Not cheap either
