Champagne chinese takeaway in The Vale of Glamorgan

I called at 6.05 and asked for a collection ASAP. Was told it wouldn't be ready until 6.45. I arrived at 6.55 as I know the time they say to come is always at least 10 minutes too early. I paid £30.20 on arrival and at 19.40 was still no sign of the food. Asked for a refund as couldn't wait anymore then was told I hadn't paid. Then she realised I had paid but they couldn't do a refund on the card only via bank transfer. So I left minus £30.20 and with no food!

Best orders I've had have always been between around 7-9pm on weekends - honey seasame chicken is great.

Ordered from here read reviews while waiting. But it was absolutely spot on, top notch. So much scoff also was given a freebie soup. Tbf spent over 60 notes, but it was bang on.

The kid was very friendly and polite however the food was probably the worst Chinese takeaway in the entire world . It was very soggy and the rice and chips were really poor quality and the chicken balls were chewy and when we bit into the chicken balls the chicken just fell out of the batter . If I had a choice between that Chinese or bowl of soggy cornflakes I’d probably pick the cornflakes .

Guy at the front desk was a rude kid called Kenneth Chen who swore it me and pissed in my curry. Curry was wattery!!!!

Best food I’ve tasted not greasy like most Chinese’s. Service is amazing and the lady that runs the shop is so kind and often delivers food herself with a smile to regular customers. Highly recommend. Really filling for a reasonable price!!

Ordered food for delivery and it came all wrong! Rang back to tell them and they just ended the call on me and was very rude

Won't go there no more because I looked at the menu to order our family meal , and it was £6.80 more when I got there , she laughed znd said "that's last years menu on our website", so I laughed and said "I'll get my Chinese elsewhere from now"! Bloody quick enough to take your money off you. Follow up to your reply: Because you havent put an updated menu for this years, how will anyone know your current prices. Its a joke! Just on the the single page you put on your omelets are £1 and even £1.50 more than last years , serenely more than 20p ,

Food wasn’t what we ordered. Asked for the ‘free’ prawn crackers advertised on their menu and we were told we had to pay for them as we had a drink with our meal (?). Customer service was very poor and we were overcharged. 2 stars because the food was mediocre.

Love this place for munchie boxes usually go for number 2 always amazing.. tonight however I went all out for number 3 ...£20 and tbh wasn't as good as usual and no mini spring rolls?

I said that the delivery driver could keep his money as it wasn’t his fault but I just wanted the amount for the food refunded.

Just moved to Barry, food was very bland, curry was watery, ribs are meatless and sauce non discript, mixed meat rice was disgusting, chips were reheated, overall I’d avoid this place and certainly will not order again, the only Chinese open on a Monday should have given me a clue!!!!!

Ordering food to be delivered , opened the door as usual and I swear when he was going back to his car I could see a snake on his dashboard moving. Rang the restaurant they didn’t believe me and won’t do anything about it . Why does he have a snake near my food ?

Really nice food, friendly staff, always busy which is a good sign

Very, very poor. Ordered just after 5 on a Monday and decided to cancel at 6:25. Was given a load of drivel and excuses. Was told the driver ran out of petrol!!! One job, that's all they had. Finally got my point across and told them I wouldn't accept charges for the delivery driver because they hadn't delivered. 10 minutes later the driver rocks up. I told her that the order had been cancelled and she dropped the food on the floor anyway and became rude and mouthy. I will never use this place again and I suggest that if you don't want to be lied to and have your patience tried to the limit then don't bother.

Just wasted 20.40 on the worst Chinese meal ever

Lovely staff and great food. Only thing I would say negative about this place is that they often tell you that food will take a certain amount of time until you can collect and it takes a lot longer... in my experience you're better either pre ordering for later on in the evening or ordering early!

It is top quality food staff is super friendly i always recommend them

If I could I'd leave 0 stars. Food we ordered was horrible Chicken was slimy tasted gone off Rice was hard and over cooked Noodles were stuck together Sauce was just stuck in the pot When I phoned to complain they offered me a new meal I said i wanted a refund and she said boss has gone home she can't do a refund ring tomorrow. So I did. And an English woman answered and told me it was the boss you was speaking to and she won't give u a refund. When I went to shop to complain the chinese boss was bad mouthing the lady who answers the calls to another customer. Never order from these guys!

Good food at good prices, fast service, the ginger haired delivery fella is sooo funny he has us in hysterics. Highly recommended

Ordered over the phone and the lady was very pleasant in all fairness and the food tasted great tbh, however paying for it today as me and my friend who ate your food last night have both been very ill today we only had small portions of other things during the day, but no foods that could really give us dodgy stomachs. I've experienced food poisoning before and this feels very similar. I m a little worried others may have been offered as out food was done in 15 mins and we ordered quite a lot of meats as we are trying to eat a lot whilst training. Very disappointed as this is a previous regular of mine.

Today was our first order from Champagne and we'll definitely be returning. The food was delicious, portions were generous and delivery was prompt. The lady taking our order was very pleasant and helpful. No complaints at all.

Food is awful, they steal recipes from other Chinese restaurants. The owner is a nasty piece of work too. Much better Chinese food elsewhere.

Ordered a few times now and always delivered jhot, prompt and great tasty food everytime waited to see if it had consistency in the quality and tast abnd it does with great friendly staff too.

Food came 2 hours after we orderd & was all shoved in one bag and sauce all over the place so phoned to complain and the manager was so rude! Blaimed the delivery driver and wouldnt sort the issue at first! Made her make us a new order or for a refund and she told us we could have new food and would get £10 refunded if we took the bad review off facebook! They also have there 8/9 year old son working there taking orders & payments!

Very disappointed. Not 100% sure the chicken was fully cooked and the rice was almost black? Prawcrackers were soggy and had no flavour. Sweet and sour chicken was chewy. Gutted as me and my mum were looking forward to a rare occasion takeaway, that it is not cheap. On the + side, the dog enjoyed it :)

1 out of 5 meals all wrong except 1..... what is going on? I used to have regular meals When I phoned to complain was offered a free curry then a 20 % discount .. plus lots of shouting at chef....I put phone down.. don't think so .

1st time ordering from this chines, the delivery time was good, the food hot and tasty especially the crispy beef and bbq spare ribs! Will definitely be ordering again

Always ordered from them and never had a problem up until recently when a few people I know have gotten sick. Terrible customer service when issues brought up.

Took over an hour and a half to get our food, and when we called to find out where our food is she hung up the phone and once the food did eventually get here it was cold a watery. I will never be ordering form here again

Food alway good but was luke warm orderd at 5pm for delivery at 7 30pm was 30mns late a bit better than the last time was over1hr late .wont be useing them again they always got a good excuse.

Two and half hours delivery time, didn't answer the phone once when trying to find out where food is so we gave up and assumed they forgot, when the driver got to our door I said I didn't want it anymore cause we already cooked something for ourselves it took that long and he said well not our fault we were really busy, I'm sorry but noone is that busy, never again
