Worst chicken curry ever, the chicken dosen't taste like chicken, tastes like watery re constituted chicken roll at over £6 a portion.

Never had a bad experience here, I have been eating from here for the last 4 years. Food is very tasty and the lady who works behind the counter is always friendly and nice. Can’t believe that there seem to be as many bad reviews on here as there is because I can honestly say it’s probably one of the best tasting Chineses in South Wales.

Didn't know it was cash only .got shouted at to go to cash machine very rude receptionist. As for delivery driver least said the better . Shame because food OK.

Hour and half late. Rang twice, told order was on its way. Then told they only had one driver. Charged £22 for 2 sweet and sour and large egg fried rice and prawn crackers. Food was really bland, could barely taste any sweet or sour and hardly any sauce. Won't be ordering from here again! Oh still charged £2 delivery despite clearly messing up the order and delivery!

Fantastic Chinese Takeaway. Eaten from here for years & they are fantastic. The Lady receptionist is always very welcoming & the food is great. Have seen some reviews on here that aren’t great & they are almost always regarding Just eat or delivery drivers. Both of which aren’t the fault of the Chinese! Get there in person & enjoy their fantastic food & service!

Meal was very nice, made fresh and was quick (about 5 minutes) the portions were very generuois, i get a take away about 3 times a year from here and it has always been good

We called ahead for a collection takeaway - Short wait time & food was ready at the advised time, very good price. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish - excellent quality, great portions, piping hot and super tasty, will definitely be trying this place again.

2nd bad experience. Ordered on just eat and discovered restaurant cancelled the order 20 mins before we were due to collect with no reason. The last time we waited well over an hour for a delivery and then they forgot an item and were very rude when I phoned to ask for it. Won't be using again.

Been using hung house for years and can honestly say we’ve never had a bad meal from them. It always arrives on time and nice and hot.

Ordered food at 18:09 when it was advertised as a 30 - 45min wait. When the order was confirmed by restaurant I was given a time of 19:25. Not happy but accepted it as I was never disappointed before. It's now 20:03 and still no food and spoken to the restaurant twice. On both occasions we been told it's on it way. What a joke and I will never order from you AGAIN. Utter disgrace.

Ordered a takeaway, awful pork balls over cooked and poor quality meat, as for sauce not a pineapple in sight could say what it tasted of. Bbq spare ribs another gloopy manufactured sauce with no taste, AVOID at all costs.

We ordered a meal for 10 people from here last Friday to celebrate our son's 17th birthday. The order was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The food was piping hot and so fresh. We had such a variety of dishes from sweet & sour chicken, crispy beef, schezuan chicken and pork chow mein - and they were all delicious!! The portions were huge! This takeaway has new owners and they have certainly made a difference - we will definitely be back again soon! Thank for for such a memorable meal.

Great delivery by a lovely man, unfortunately the food in the bag wasn’t what I ordered. Too late to request another delivery so ate a bit of the wrong food, it was nice but not what I fancied.

1st time ordering last night and all I can say was Wow the food was lovely and piping hot.. We ordered it for 9.45pm and the restaurant changed it to 10.15pm so I did consider cancelling the order but glad I didn't.. The food arrived at 9.20pm so way before the time they had said.. Will definitely be ordering from here again and hope will have the same great service 😊

An order made via Just Eat. Saturday evening. 6.30pm. Confirmation email received and payment taken. Thanks. Time passes. We wait. We wait some more. More time passes. I check the email and the text. Double check I've got the right Take away. Yep. Got the right one. I call to chase the order. The owner answers. I ask where my food is, she says I haven't ordered. I tell her I have. She says I've got the wrong Take away. I read the phone number from the email and she said I've made a mistake. I reiterate that I haven't. The phone goes down. I call again asking if my order is being delivered, she once again says there is no order. I give her the order number still she is adamant that I haven't made the order. By this point I'm losing the will to live and my lust for MSG is dwindling. She takes my number and asks what the order was mutters something and the phone goes down again. The wife is now fuming and my son has gone quiet with hunger - not starving mind but just the silent hunger that kids get, that unnerving kind of silence. I call back and all for my money back. She now says that's she's making the order. I ask for the money back. She said she can't do it. The wife is now apoplectic. She's like Vesuvius. I ask the owner how long it'll be she says an hour. I tell her I'm on my way to her to get my money back. She says "You're coming to my shop?" I agree. The wife gets in the car along with the silent child and me. On the way we get a call asking whether it's sweet and sour or chilli on the beef. This makes the wife madder. I fear for everyone's safety at this point. A hungry girl is a feisty one. We arrive and no apology is given. She thrusts the other orders in my face and says your orders not here. I give her the printed email. She's still adamant that we hadn't ordered. We get our food anyway. Having paid for delivery no refund was offered. No customer service was paid. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Maybe something extra would have smoothed this experience. Nothing was given. When we got the food home the quarter duck was mostly 1 bone and some skin. The rolls were burnt as was the ribs. I wouldn't ever ever use these again. Appalling service and food

The restaurant said that they never received the order despite taking the money and refusing that the order number was theirs. Having called the number on my confirmation email they refused to believe it was theirs. I would not recommend them at all

I used to use this take away all the time when I lived in the town,but after not visiting it for about two years tonight I revisited it to have a bit of a shock. Sadly alarm bells started to ring when I went in to the takeaway,I was immediately met by the abrupt lady behind the desk. Sadly she seemed more interested in watching her Ipad with the water margin on than serving me,and was rude. I got the feeling I must have been a great inconvenience going in to the takeaway and spending money after all. The food was quick and with only a 5 minute drive home I was expecting to have a really warm meal. However after unpacking the meal it was cold and stodgy and I had to microwave the contents,I was shocked to see that even the chips were cold in the middle and burnt. Food like this must have been precooked and left hanging around. Sadly the chow mien noodles were stodgy, and the chicken was bitty and compacted and dry. The egg fried rice tasted tasteless and bland,plus to add insult to injury the curry sauce was gloopy like wall paper paste and I had a train going through my mind signalling MSG MSG!!! As you can imagine only half of this meal was eaten by both me and my son,and he being the usual teenager he normally eats anything,so that kinda says it all. Sadly I would never go back here,and I would advise others to also avoid. 😟

We had a large order for 12 people, they added 30mins to the already 45-60minutes delivery time. Food arrived on time, order was correct and food was good !

Food was good but service was absolutely terrible, worst I’ve ever experienced. Will never order from this restaurant again. An item was missing off the order so rang restaurant back and reassured item would be delivered, an hour later still hadn’t arrived so rang back again. Told it would be dropped over soon but here we are, 2 hours since initial delivery and item still not here. I’ve given up and will tell anyone who asks to avoid this place like the plague, which is a shame as the food was nice.

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE!! We ordered food at 6.30pm and were expecting our delivery at 7.45pm. The restaurant added 25 minutes to the delivery time which was understandable due to the busy demand. We were expecting our food for 8.10pm. It got to 8.25pm and we had heard nothing so I rang the restaurant and was told the driver is on his way. Another 20 minutes passed and I rang the restaurant again at 8.45pm. I was told by the lady that she would ring the driver and call me back. I did NOT get a call back and 15 minutes later at 9pm I called her again. She then told me she hadnt rang the driver and would call him now which was completely unacceptable. She called the driver whilst I was on the phone, I was NOT put on hold and I could hear the whole converstation. They were swearing and arguing at each other - VERY unprofessional. It turns out the driver had been to our building but delivered it to a different number. The lady in the restaurant had put the wrong number on the ticket and did not check our address correctly. Another couple in the building were basically given a free chinese which we had paid for. I complained at the incompetance and was then asked if I could knock on the door of the number the food was delivered to and ask for our food!! How OUTRAGEOUS!!!! I frustratingly refused to do such a stupid thing. The lady then told me that she would just cancel the order. I was not offered the food I had paid for or an apology for the mistake. After complaining endlessly for the rudeness, incompetance and awful service she agreed to resend the food and provide an immediate full refund for the inconvenience caused. The food finally arrived and the rice we ordered as a LARGE came as a SMALL and the chicken balls were really peppery. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE PROMISED REFUND!! ITS BEEN 4 WEEKS!!

POOR POOR POOR MOUNTAINS OF MSG of which I'm allergic to nearly killed me tonight! Florsecent red mountains of colouring. Sweet mountains of sugar salty msg nasty food!!! A simple dish of 1/4 roasted Peking duck with hoisin sauce cucumber spring onion and pancakes the duck looked like road kill, it wasn't shredded more torn apart with a samori sword two dried bones as a token to show it was actually duck still have my doubts !! Over cooked dried left over put into a microwave to reheat at least ten times get the picture inedible disgusting something out of a trash can would have tasted better! Cost for the privilege £9+ utter disgrace followed by grade d rice broken grained rice substandard sold as fried rice omg!! Plus other dishes indescribable what ever you do don't waste your hard earned cash and taking of cash! Umm they seems to love it here no credit card machine interesting we know why ! Saving for a month long holiday to Hong Kong then?? Go anywhere but here boycott this dreadful place even my dogs wouldn't eat it and they are Labradors which will eat anything they know bad food when they smell it! Keep your! Never again will I order from this place. Had to call twice to chase as after adding 30 mins to the original delivery time they still managed to be another 30 mins late! Unhelpful staff just said ‘on their way’ which clearly they weren’t! When food eventually arrived it was (of course!) cold, rubbery and inedible. Avoid!!!

Food took 1.5 hours to arrive, I had house guests and young children waiting to eat. If I had just received a custody notification saying it would be late that would’ve been fine but sitting there waiting was really irritating.

Food was 10mins late. Called restaurant and was told it is on the way. Waited another 40 minutes and called back- was told she would cal the driver. Heard nothing for another 20 minutes. Called back and she hadn’t even rang the driver. She called him whilst I was on the phone and I could hear them arguing. Turn out they had delivered it to the wrong number. I complained and they said they would cancel it. Waiting for a full refund and a gesture of good will voucher!

The food here is normally very good and usually comes when they say. The only time I've ever had a problem is when the regular workers/owners are on holiday. It's a pity that some of the reviews are from people who have had one bad experience and some so bitter they created a profile just to give a bad score. This takeaway is one of the best in the area.

Ordered a meal that specified was king prawns and mixed veg. Meal delivered was no prawns and mixture of meat. I only eat fish not meat so couldn't eat it. Phoned to complain and no apologies - quite rude response. Said they would refund cost of dish £6 but this hasn't been done. Won't use them again.

An extra 30 minutes added to order then waited another 25 mi utes before ringing, so ordered 19:30 arrived 21:20. Rather late and the food was cold. So had to be warmed or eaten cold. Phoned and no help given. Very disappointed

They forgot to substitute the sweet and sour for curry sauce but apart from that a fantastic meal will order again

I called before ordering asking for allergy advice as I’m Coeliac. Asking simply ‘do you know what I can order that doesn’t have flour, wheat or soy sauce in?’ She fumbled and eventually told me to order from another restaurant, I was in a group so I did along with another!!! Those who did order from here received a green curry despite ordering a red. Just don’t bother. Sloppy food and terrible service. Use Dragon Court instead 👌🏽

Late delivery, no communication and tried to charge me twice!

large part of the order missing (mixed starters at £8.80). called the restaurant who offered to re deliver. when i pointed out starters 2 hours after mains was pointless they hung up. ok everyone makes mistakes but to hang up on a customer!!! shocking. check your order before they cheat you.

Our original just eat time was then put back by half an hour by the restaurant, and didn't arrive at this time either. 15 minutes later we phoned the restaurant, got passed from the teller to the manager who then passed us to the delivery driver!! The manager said away from the phone 'how long to cook?!' Whilst handing us over to the driver. When the food arrived a full hour after the original time estimate (over two hours after we ordered), the driver was rude, told us other people's orders would be late because of the fuss we caused, and the order was missing hoisin sauce for the duck we ordered! At this point we could not longer be bothered to complain. Good food, terrible rude late service and they apparently cannot handle being busy.

Good delivery but flavour of food was poor. Crispy shredded beef had a sharp, acidic taste and the proportion of beef to onion and other ingredients was low. Wouldn’t be in a hurry to re-order.

We orders Thai Green Curry for the third time running and for the third time running they delivered a Thai RED curry, even after we placed a comment on the order. SEVERELY unimpressed and seeking compensation!!!!!

The Salt and Pepper Crispy Beef is amazing no other Chinese does it the way the Hung House does!

Use to be one of my favourites Chinese takeaways but has gone done down hill. Servings use to be exquisite with larger tastings but now smaller with over cooked dried pairings. Spent almost £40.00 on a place I use to tell my best friends this place of being worthy. Delayed deliveries, no English on phone support of late and terrible food. Hung House, I rather hand myself
