This has been my only place to order since I was a child. They are great the food is 10/10 and they are very fast.

Placed an order yesterday and collected it as was so disapointed with it. was all sloppy chicken balls and the chips looked like theyve been refried numerous time. recomend going to the angel instead

First time ordering from this Chinese as we usually order from Panda or New Yangs and will most definitely be the last. Took over an hour and half to come after ordering (not a particularly big order) and the first time any Chinese I've had which doesn't come with prawn crackers. Avoid.

Excellent Chinese takeaway. I’ve tried many in Barry, and Yang Tze and Far East on Broad street are the best that I’ve come across, in terms of the food quality and customer service. Whenever you visit Yang Tze on a Saturday, the phone will always be ringing to place an order, and no sooner has the phone been put down and it will immediately start ringing again, so you can tell that this is a very popular place. Very nice, friendly Chinese lady working there, who always has a smile on her face. I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken balls or the all-in-one chicken balls, rice, chips and sauce for only £5!

This is by far the very best Chinese takeaway in Barry. I’ve been ordering from there for over 35 years & have Never had a bad meal. The service is so friendly & accommodating, they are a lovely family.

I've had different Chinese takeaway's in Barry I've just come home from your takeaway I had the house special fried rice with pork ball's and sweat and sour sauce big portion and I have to say the taste and flavours are amazing for me it has to be the best Chinese takeaway and food in Barry so thank you I'll see you again soon 🙂

We’ve tried several Chinese take aways in Barry and yangtze is the best by far! They have amazing chow mein (saucy not dry) and don’t mind adding extra brocolli for me. We’ve been ordering (rather more regularly than I care to admit 😅) for Five years and we’ve never been let down. We order a selection of things as well and everything is always well prepared and tasty 😋 The service is so friendly, and efficient. We usually pick up but on the rare occasion we get delivery the driver is friendly, speedy (considering no one can ever find our house!) and food is still hot.

We cancelled delivery one week as over an hour late !! This week same. Just turned up as I was going to cancel it....wish I had it was terrible. Very disappointed as been going there for years. Time to try another takeaway I think.

Been ordering from this Chinese for years! However this was the last me and my partner ordered a Chinese same as we always order when I opened the bag the rice carton was the same size as a cigarette packet!! They have now skimped on there portion sizes but still charging the same price! which is rediculous considering there not the cheapest of places I took it straight back down there and had my money back avoid this place!

I ordered a tray of rice and noodles with curry sauce 😋 and it was the best tray I have ever had ! Lovely and hot and fresh! We have been struggling to find a Chinese takeaway we like ,so I'm so pleased we have found this one 😀. The curry sauce was perfect , not a horrible gloop. The egg fried rice actually tastes of egg and not salt! And there was plenty of egg in it 😋.

When we moved to Barry a few years ago, we shopped around, but quickly realised Yangtze is the best Chinese takeaway in Barry, possibly my favourite Chinese takeaway ever (and I’ve moved around a bit). Always friendly service, and never had a bad order. The crispy beef in peking sauce is always great, and once we tried the smoked chicken, we’ve not had an order without it since. They were even happy to swap out the egg noodles for rice noodles in their chow mein for us, as we prefer them. Cannot recommend enough!

Shocked to see the poor lady who was shouted at and sworn at by the angry lady behind the counter, was waiting to order but chose not to in the end, try learning some customer service or employ someone who can speak to customers the correct way

The best takeaway in Barry. Actually, the owner was one of the nicest people I met in Barry. Says alot about Barry and the local residents. The food was excellent and hot. If we didn't find this gem of a takeaway, then Barry would have been a waste of time and effort. Not the most pleasant of places unfortunately.

To be honest,respect is mutual。I was there。 the customer herself ordered the wrong size and then called to quarrel,also asked them to refund. When she bring back the food, they get full refund to her immediately. they did try to explain to her they got different size and different prices. she no even listen to them。 As for such customer，hope never order again。

£2 for a rice that was slightly bigger than a fag box when I phoned them to question it!!!!they was very rude and hung up, I then took food back to the shop and had to put up with the woman shouting at first refused to give me a full refund Would never order from here again!!!!

Order took a very long time, the chicken balls were very dry. Alternative places I would recommend, Golden swan and Mr chungs.

Very disappointing compared to our usual - new yangs. Ribs were ok but sauce very strong/rich, more like hoisin than bbq. Chicken fried rice was more expensive and only 2/3 the size. House special chow main was lacking king prawns, baby corn, broccoli. Ok but not as good value. Curry sauce was utterly revolting. Would not recommend or order again.

I’ve been a customer of theirs since they first opened back on that 70’s, Got to know them now it’s just like speaking to friends. Fab food and always on time if you have it delivered. I live in Rhoose which is quite a distance and they never fail us! So don’t listen to those negative comments. They are no doubt the best in Barry and the Vale!

Best homemade curry! The salt and chilli prawns are scrummy! Although service can be a little slow, the food always makes up for it! Don't be put off by the decor, the quality of food is what is most important!

Cheap and nasty what people see in it I don’t know. The curry sauce smells and tastes so strongly of cloves it reminds me of having toothache only went here coz we were desperate

Got food from Meadowhall branch as I was walking away saw a lady and a little girl walk back with a tray of food. The girl had got wrong chicken so her mother had came back to swap it. Which on its own was fine but watching the woman serving she took the tray and scraped the wrong chicken off the tray straight back in to the tray of food which it had originally came from and which they were serving other customers from. The customer looked at me and saw I was in disgust and said oh she’s never touched it. That isn’t the point the child had taken the food away from the counter to her table then decided it wasn’t what she wanted and brought it back. It should not have been put back in to sell to other customers. I won’t be going back here again. Food hygiene I don’t think they know what it is

Every time i'm there, myself and every other customer are always greeted with a cheerie hello. The food always tastes good and always piping hot when you get home. My 1st choice everytime. Just gutted i can't get a takeaway tonight as it's closed on a wednesday.

I come here regularly to eat in with friends from work (usually 20+ ppl) and I have takeaway. Always lovely food. Staff are great to! Decor could do with being updated but that's not to important. Love this place

Realmente decepcionado del Yangtze, pedimos comida a las 8 pm para los amigos y la familia me dijeron que se entregarán alrededor de una hora y media, aunque fue un largo tiempo no importa la espera. 10:10 de la noche y todavía estábamos esperando! Llamó para quejarme y me dijeron que nos dará el pan de gambas, que ya había sido acordado antes de la entrega. El director dijo que la comida se la pena la espera, que no era! Muy mala en general!

Worst place going! Treated with no respect on the phone as I got my old address mixed up with my recently moved address so the woman got all ratty, wrong amount was given. They also messed up my order...its crap customer service not going there again!!

This is the best Chinese 'take away' in South Wales...

Ive been a customer here for about 40 years. It used to be exceptionally good back in the 70's and 80's. But it's tailed off over the years, and this last year or so has deteriorated beyond all recognition. Everything has changed quality wise. The meat is tough, the vegetables are soggy, the blend of spices used has clearly changed and is not a patch on what it used to be flavour wise. Cost cutting no doubt. The service also is poor. They frequently fail to answer the phone when you try to call up to place an order, After a year or so of ambivalence, I've now decided never to return. Very sad indeed as the place was once a legend.

Best Takeaway in Cadoxton! It's been going for donkeys years, prices are good, family are very friendly, food is cooked in 10-15mins, can get busier on Fri/Sat nights with telephone orders, but always worth the wait! They deliver locally for an extra £1 or 2. *They are shut on Wednesday's* Highly Recommended.
