Tesco Cafe in The Vale of Glamorgan

This is not worth the momey at all. Food turned up cold.

Went to Culverhouse X Tesco for coffee. An absolute appalling service. Customers complaining about the cold meals, the wait for their food. Staff working backwards, an appalling attitude of the manager to a customer. Pathetic

Not received order, absolutely shocking, also to make it even worse you’ve marked it as delivered

Lovely service, food and atmosphere. Katsu chicken baguette with seasoned fries was fresh, hot and delicious 😋

Ordered a breakfast, recieved a breakfast with added hair, a long curly black hair sat on my plate I noticed as soon as my plate was placed in front of me. I pointed it out. And asked for a refund no apology nothing. The chef had no hair net or hat on! Disgusting!!

They do a lovely "full English" as well as vegetarian and vegan options. We often pop in here for a brunch before doing our weekly shopping. It's also great for lunch. They do a super fish and chips at a very reasonable price. It's nice to have proper cooked options unlike a lot of places which just offer cake and sandwiches. Highly recommended!

Much improved recently, food cooked quickly and served hot, good choices available and decent prices.

Food is terrible and it’s baby portions for the price! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you’re eating inside the store

Dreadful bbq chicken wrap. The chicken pieces were so hard I couldn't even cut them with a knife! Not mich in the the wrap either for the price. The chips and salad was OK. The chef needs help I think. I don't think it because it was busy , there was 4 others there. The lady on the till and who served our food was lovely and polite. Puts you off visiting this cafe again !

Zoe the manager is a legend. She couldn't be more friendly and accommodating to all of our various needs (ASD and coeliac). Tesco is very lucky to have her!

OK Tesco cafe but the company have cut back on quality and variety - no tomato on the breakfast for instance. And the hash browbs were greasy and soggy.

Delivery was fine. Wrong food delivered and poor quality, not nice at all

This is the worst jacket potatoe ive ever had in my life !! Im caring for a lady and we were hungry so we thought we would grab a quick bite before we got back....after a 35 minute wait ,watching everyone who was behind us getting their food (even tuna jackets , we were finally given ours ... i dis say we had been waiting a long time... the food was so dry we couldnt eat it just the bit of tuna on top ...i will never eat in here again ...appalling 😒

Food was ok the toast on my breakfast was a little burnt and food was a bit cold. My sweet potato fries was Realy cooked and there was only a hand full in there

Shocking breakfast. Poached eggs on toast were solid, the breakfast wasn’t much better. The butter for the toast had melted almost completely due to being sat under a warming lamp. Charged extra for mushrooms and received one. Will never use again. Avoid at all costs.

Food was ok toast was burnt on one side bacon was realy salty. Normally there amazing amd cant fault there breakfasts but it looked like it was just chucked in this morning

To be honest, I only ever used this cafe to kill time when having my car washed at Waves, but the experience on this occasion was worse than usual. Though the decor is uninspired, the cafe is spacious and chilled out, and the coffee was acceptable (though not cheap for a supermarket cafe). Service was a little slow, though once I had ordered, my food was brought out very quickly. Unfortunately it was not great. I had the vegan breakfast - the avocado was left in one solid lump rather than sliced, the grilled tomato seemed merely warmed (rather than properly grilled until cooked through with a bit of caramelization on the top/skin), and the spinach was simply put on the plate raw. The plant-based sausages had good flavour, but were very dry. It's such a shame as if it had been properly cooked, this could have been a great reasonably priced healthy breakfast option.

Food came very late. Was also cold and Inedible. Would honestly give it a 1/10 and that’s being generous. Very disappointed with delivery and quality of the food.

The frozen mango juice had gone all over the food while in transit and delivery driver still passed over even though he could clearly see it and also was told at the door is was all over the food

The food came half warm but it was alright tasting. They couldn’t find a delivery driver for almost an hour.

Popped in for a tea while shopping. Every table was full of plates. I wouldn’t say they were understaffed, just lazy . Being in the hospitality industry I can’t get over the mess and dirty tea pot. Need to sort the staff out I would say Tesco!

Arrived at Culverhouse Cross Cafe on 04/09/2021 about 08.30...no staff present to serve and the tables were absolutely disgusting...none cleaned....will not be using this cafe again....

I have honestly never been so disgusted. I ordered this meal at 14:00. I was told it would arrive between 14:30-14:50. After many chats to try and chase this with just eat, I was then told I could have a refund as the food still hadn’t arrived, the food then finally turned up gone16:00. It arrived freezing cold, the chips were soggy, the toast was soggy and completely inedible. My muffin was changed to a bagel so all the filling had fallen out when I opened the box. The taste of the food was so awful, I wouldn’t have even given it to my dog. The delivery driver apologised on arrival as he said he had been waiting for the food for 30 minutes and was then told to leave as there was no order but then called back and given my order. I would never order again and I have requested a refund.

Missing items eg smoothie breakfast wrap and extras we paid for and no way of getting them after delivery

We didn’t even get it and calling the store to complain is impossible

Awful service, waited 20 mins in the queue to be told food would be 30-45 mins.Then waited 10mins for sugar to go with my coffee.Once the food came it was cold and the cutlery was filthy.Tables overflowing with dirty dishes.Two people serving....come on Tesco sort it out.Ill never visit again.

Food took 3 hours to come and when I asked for a refund I got refused the worst place to get food from ever!!!!!!

Very nice breakfast, not the best ever, but surprisingly good for a Tesco cafe. Plenty of beans, choice of toast or fried bread. My veggie daughter had the healthy choice but with a vegan sausages instead of the spinach.

The staff were friendly and helpful, I had scrambled eggs on toast and pot of tea my daughter had poached eggs on toast freshly cooked very eatable

No creo que Tesco podría haber hecho este lugar más sombrío y poco inspirador si lo hubieran intentado. Escondido en la parte trasera de la tienda sin absolutamente ninguna vista o atmósfera. Definitivamente no es un destino, pero está bien si necesita perder 20 minutos mientras lava su automóvil. El servicio fue lento y el personal parecía desinteresado. El café estaba bien y no era un mal precio. Ciertamente se quedará con M&S la próxima vez.

We ordered cooked breakfast which stated '2 hash browns'. When they brought it there was only 1 hash brown and the baked beans and bacon were luke warm. We complained and we're given a refund.

As being diabetic needed to have something to eat my sister and myself decided to go to Tesco Cafe at Culver. We ordered 2 breakfast and 2 coffees and omg what a disaster it was the food was cold dried up and fried bread was soaking in oil. So so disgusting how on earth can you serve food like this. Needless to say we wont be eating there again . Will have to make sure next time I carry a sandwich with me.

Esta fue mi segunda visita. En ambas ocasiones, el servicio era deficiente con solo una persona detrás de la caja. El chocolate caliente estaba hecho con agua, no muy sabroso. En la segunda ocasión, mi batido se había desbordado y el vaso estaba cubierto con el batido. El desayuno no fue inspirador. La zona del restaurante es bastante sombría y un poco fría. Dos de los sofás cubiertos de vinilo tenían fundas rotas y maltratadas y habían visto días mejores. Me doy cuenta de que este es un café, pero la experiencia podría mejorarse en términos de decoración, ambiente, comida y servicio.

It seems the quality of the breakfast has gone down. No plum tomatoes just half cold fresh tomato. The bread seems poor quality. The sausage and bacon obviously microwaved as the breakfast arrived in about 5mins.... as for the griddled eggs very disappointing.

The cafe is reasonably priced. The coffee is really good. Plenty of seating. It is child friendly with colouring facilities for the kids. Lots of choice and vegetarian options. Lots of parking outside as it's located in a Tesco superstore.

Generously sized modern dining emporium. Friendly staff who are also extremely efficient. The food is modestly priced & extremely delicious!

I do find service rather slow,as the person on till also has to make the drinks. Food quality depends on what you eat- today I ordered a toastie as it was an offer with a hit drink,but not very impressed with either the toastie or the side salad which wasn't terribly fresh in my opinion. The toastie was too well done on the crusts which made it difficult to eat. Would go back but probably only for sandwiches n coffee.Staff rather on cold side- no smile or expression that you were made welcome.

While this place is a bit lacking in 'ambiance' due to no natural light - the food is ok, choice is limited but I suspect most people will find something that they like. Service is always prompt and the staff all seem to show a 'can do' attitude, which is always to be welcomed. If you need a quick tasty meal, then you won't go far wrong in eating here

Welcoming friendly staff and reasonable pricing brings customers back regularly. Another good thing clearing tables regularly is an invitation to people and shows well organised team
