Great service at the bar and from Sue who brought the food to our group of seven. The portions were very generous and enjoyed by all . Great sandwiches and chips and the celiac meal was very good. Thank you from the Stanpit Marsh volunteer warden team.

Cannot fault our experience at The New Forest...The food and service was 5 star! We celebrated a 60th Birthday with 26 family members and the event was fabulous, from our first contact to us leaving we had a brilliant time and felt very well cared for. Catering for so many guests and taking it all in their stride, very professional, friendly and efficient. Our food arrived all together, was hot and everyone of us said our choice of dish was cooked to perfection and good size portions. The staff regularly came to check on how we were doing in the Tack Room and to see if we needed any drinks etc. Would recommend this place without hesitation.

When we arrived we were taken to our table, there was no room to move , they had crammed the tables so close together that you couldn’t get out of your chair. We asked for a table with some room as we had a pushchair with us, but no. After an hour waiting a staff member came to take our order, not a lot of choice , some of us had the trio of roast, sounded lovely, when the dinner turned up it was disappointing, the stuffing didn’t taste or look very nice and as for the veg well, not the usual Sunday veg, it turned up in a small dish for 3 of us , there was red cabbage , courgette and carrots. The puddings not nice either, waffles hard you couldn’t cut , cheesecake which tasted like it had loads of gelatine in, and the treacle sponge pudding usually is a light brown colour, well it was almost black and tasted of black treacle, not nice. We didn’t have coffee, wasn’t asked. Staff not friendly , never asked if we wanted any more drinks, if our dinner was ok, we had to keep calling them over. Wouldn’t go back .

This used to be uour 'Go To' local. For coffee, for food, and for entertainment from time to time. However, recently it has gone downhill. Its quite 'tacky' and has become boisterous. The food is essentially cafe style, at restaurant prices, (ie Rip Off). The entertainment, when available is, bearly audible due to the noisy crowd. Best advice - go elsewhere.

I would like to start this review off by saying this is an absolutely stunning venue. We had a very warm welcome and the gentleman was kind enough to take our coats. Upon sitting down we were asked if we would like champagne, and promptly brought the first item, which was a yummy truffle dish. The service went down hill after this. Around 20 minutes after we had been given the truffle, we still had no tea and we had to ask someone to bring us some. We then also waited quite a long time for the sandwiches to arrive. The sandwiches again were very nice. After these we were asked if we would like more tea, which we were given, but my friend asked for a replacement cup. After 20 minutes of not having one, she did have to get up and ask for a cup. After this, we were presented with some warm scones, but no plates to eat from. By the time we managed to call someone’s attention to get some plates, as again no one came over with any, the scones were no longer warm. After the patisserie, we were told we would be able to have a slice of cake to take home. Again, unfortunately we waited a very long time after finishing the cakes, and we did have to chase a waiter to bring us both the bill and the cake. The food was absolutely five stars, but having to constantly chase for simple things such as plates and tea, was really disappointing, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. I hope that the restaurant do acknowledge this, as if we knew the service was improved, I could definitely see myself visiting again.

Extremely limited menu, which bore no resemblance to "Sample Menus" online!!!! Roasts were reported as being very good but not much use if you don't like roasts!!! Very pricey for pub grub, extra £'s for everything and hugely expensive wines. Basically just another overpriced pub/hotel, which used to be a fine dining venue but is now the same as every other ones. Very disappointing

Popped in to this lovely quirky pub between Salisbury and Ringwood as we needed a loo stop and some lunch. It was humming with groups of people eating lunch. The meu is pretty extensive. I had a mountainous cheese and ham sandwich (£7.25) which was absolutely delicious, with some crisps and a small salad. My wife had a very good steak pie and chips (£17.50). We ordered water and a coke and then threw the water glass on the floor which caused a flurry of activity, but the staff were absolutely charming and cleaned up in no time. It was a very good experience. If you want pub grub in Ringwood I recommend this place.

We stopped off here on a bike ride. The service was fantastic and the food very tasty. There was an error with our order but they were so apologetic and gave us a complimentary piece of cake. That’s exactly how it should be done when a problem occurs, so thank you! Highly recommend.

We went for Dinner on August 26th (Bank Holiday). There was no atmosphere and the Restaurant was less than half full. We were asked if we had booked and told that the kitchen was closing early, it was only 6.30pm!! There was music in the Bar and outside although nobody was in either but none audible in the Restaurant. The staff seemed to be untrained and unprofessional and not at all welcoming. Some training is definitely needed. This used to be an excellent food Pub such a shame to see it has gone so down hill.

I have just had the worst experience. I have ordered from here SO many times without issue - even last week. However, we called to enquire about the £80 minimum spend for delivery as it has always been £50. The manager was extremely rude to my partner and dismissive from the very moment he answered. I have never been spoken to like that before from anyone and I am absolutely appalled. I would not have someone with that attitude working in the industry. Sadly, looking from previous reviews this is a longstanding issue.

Good wine and beer and bar service. Food took a long time to arrive although the pub was not that busy , 2pm. Burger was rather dry and shrivelled. The bun was soggy. Chips and coleslaw were ok. The Panini I ordered was disappointing . The streaky bacon was undercooked , not crispy as streaky bacon should be . I couldn’t eat it . The Brie was cold inside . The actual panini was ok Both salads on the plates were uninteresting, just mixed flat lettuce from a bag. Overall a disappointing lunch.
