The best restaurants in New Forest South East

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in the Hotel, all the staff were most friendly and helpful, the rooms were warm, there was a lovely open fire in the reception area and lots of places to sit and relax. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and our meal in the Thai restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed the SenSpa very much and look forward to visiting again. We chose to stop here specifically as there was a rapid charger for our EV. The grounds are relaxing and quiet. The conservatory restaurant had a good atmosphere and the service friendly and courteous. We had the Gnocchi and Ploughmans for lunch. Both were very tasty and well presented. Puddings were light and refreshing. Prices are not cheap but good food is worth paying for. Having tried out the restaurant and general ambience we are very likely to arrange a weekend break here soon.

Ain't had shapla for years&this eve orderd one&what a disappointment!! Raw stringy dough in uncooked naan bread,cold tasteless chicken in greasy cold rice. My missus korma was just as bad we had a mouthful and fed the outside bin.....still poppadoms are ok but a toddler could cook them tbf

Lovely visit. Staff polite and attentive. Menu nice selection with fish special menu. Only negative was that we ate too much!!!

Had a very good Sunday lunch today. We were a party of 13 and the staff looked after us really well. Friendly and efficient throughout. Food excellent and plenty of it. Well done to all.

We went to this lovely pub today as a family catch up. We were advised, when booking, that it would be busy but we decided to book anyway. We were warmly greeted by their staff and shown to a table by the window. There were 9 of us plus 2 dogs. Lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent. We will certainly be returning.

Really good food and Debbie was very accommodating. We travelled from Bournemouth and it was definitely worth the journey.

Had the normal good fare at this establishment, together with a 25% discount voucher. Today was a quiet day but nevertheless the food was still good and top value for money. Summer months we frequent the Toby at Hinton at least once a month and usually 2 or 3 times.

The food could have been better, the chicken was dry, and they had no bbq sauce. the waitress was very helpful

Just had a lovely meal as end to our week in New Forest. Food was very good. Liver &bacon for hubby, lasagne for myself. Good portions. Desserts were creme brulee and lemon sorbet both very nice. Lovely place to eat reasonable prices too.

Nice food, large portions. Busy so get there early or book. Dog friendly and there is a menu for dogs. Reasonably priced too.

Don't put the bagels in the toaster
