Just came in for a quiet drink, it was quiet too, served by Hollie, offered meat draw tickets and chase the joker tickets, had a couple then headed home.

We have been coming to the new farmhouse for a few months great every time , We did visit a lot in December Christmas time food was spot on especially the Christmas chicken burger 10/10 Kayleigh was amazing great service every time from her lovely smile and so polite would recommend 👊🏻

Ate here with my partner on the week end, superb food with superb service can’t fault it!! Will be back

Just me and a friend had a meal, when we paid I had fortunately asked for a receipt as it seemed expensive, before we left wr realised we'd been overcharged £21, server paid us but no apology.

This was about our fourth return visit, just before Christmas 2024. We've never been disappointed, the Xmas menu food this time was very good. The young waitress on this occasion was exceptionally helpful, even though she was quite busy she was smiling and happy - what a treat. Sorry I didn't get her name.

We have just arrived home from a brilliant Xmas dinner,we are pleasantly full,the menu was terrific,and food well cooked and delicious.This was our second year at the Farmhouse,will certainly be going again,thankyou for a wonderful dinner.

I regularly visit the old farmhouse to watch sports events, mainly premiership matches. The staff are always so friendly & super helpful. I usually enjoy some food & a couple of beers whilst watching the game & it all makes for a very enjoyable time.

Christmas breakfast with Santa was great. Food and service was excellent and the kids loved the close up magic

Absolutely appalling food. By far worst meal out. We arrived when only 1 other table was in and we ordered straight after them. The restaurant then started to fill a little, the first table had their food arrived, then some of the later people to arrive had their food, this was after 50mins of waiting, I went and spoke to the man behind the bar who said he would go and see, bought out some chicken stripes which were cold. Then it was anther 20mins before our meals came out. (Hunters chicken) chicken dry and sauce baked onto the dish so no longer a sauce (gammon with egg) egg was like rubber would have made a better christmas tree decoration. Very very disappointed with the food and the service.

Much better place now it's been refurbished and new people have taken over , been twice and dogs are welcolme, haven't tryed the Food yet but people seem happy with the food

What a lovely pub! So glad we stumbled across it on our trip in Southampton, it’s a little way out of town but definitely worth the excursion. The manager Jake was very helpful showing us how to order on the app but then just took our order at the bar in the end and brought us our drinks to the table which was very kind, he also helped me pick out from the menu some good vegan options. And he recommended a good beer for my friend. We will 100% be coming back! Thanks a lot Jake and team 😊

Went for food out server kayleigh was fantastic nothing was to much for her, would definitely return!

Struggled slightly to find parking, but not really the staffs fault. Once in there i was very pleasantly suprised. I ordered the burger of the day and wow, way better than you'd expect a pub burger to be! My server Zoe was excellent as well, really friendly and accomadating. Will be revisiting.

Really impressed with the refurb. Lovely eating area with separate booths. Clean and a bonus is, it’s dog friendly. Good extensive menu (including a really good value seniors option). Well cooked food and extremely friendly staff. Couldn’t fault Zoe, who served us. A busy lunchtime but nothing was too much trouble and she was absolutely lovely. Would recommend.

Went for Sunday lunch told the girl at the bar we had booked a table, got taken to the table and sat there waiting for are order to be taken, never happened so asked one of the few staff were we were told to order at the bar or download an app (really) we ordered at the bar. Mean time there were kids banging, shouting and running up and down past the dining tables. Meal arrived, roast potatoes were definitely warmed up, coliflower cheese was just very dried up coliflower no cheese what so ever, whole meal was disgusting. Never again.

I am using crutches due to a serious illness. Ate here tonight and watched the football with a few drinks. Food was excellent and a good range of ciders and beers. What made my evening were the two young ladies on duty. Josie and Immy. Nothing too much trouble for them and service with a smile. Look forward to visiting again.

Went in for a roast dinner as I was travelling by after visiting relatives , waited 30 minutes for my dinner and when it came it wasn't worth the wait I ordered the "sirloin" ...it should have been called "hint of sirloin" or the vegetarian option ! £14.22 for vegetables .

Wow, what an amazing little find. Went on a trip with Diamond Quality Care Newbury Berkshire to the Alison Macgregger at Hythe Marina . Weather rained off our fish and chips, so come to this amazing little pub. Excellent and patients and service from Kayley and Rocky went above and beyond for us . Great food served. Amazing . We had 11 members, 3 staff, 8 clients, and 3 in wheelchairs. 2 manual and 1 electric. All catered for and great disability access. Will definitely be back. Would highly recommended 👌 Many thanks for your service and patience and also amazing food (everyone cleared their plates). Bad weather turned into a lucky find for us. We are already taking about our return next year. Thanks again

Food is good with a variety of menu items. I don’t like that everything is contactless. No greeting at the door or directions on what to do. Just find a table and order through their app and pay, eat and leave. What happen to communication. Being a tourist we expected to be greeted by a hostess upon entry and taken to the table and our order taken not trying to figure out how to order on an app.

We stopped in for fish and chips for lunch. Zoe was so friendly, fun and helpful. A very comfortable atmosphere and tasty comfort food.

Dined at table 18 this evening along with 3 friends . Bar staff were absolutely lovely , so friendly and helpful , nothing too much trouble for them . The inside environment was great . A sports bar type area with large screen tv showing football which was being enjoyed by quite a few customers . It positioned well away from the dining area which provided a very pleasant & comfortable atmosphere to eat , drink and chat amongst ourselves . The food was served quickly , was piping hot and exceptional value for money . Will definitely return and highly recommend to others for a good value evening out . Well done to all the staff .

Zoe was fantastic! So pleasant, the food and drinks were great and it was a lovely atmosphere! Massive fan of the decor too!

We had a girlie lunch and we had Zoe serve us. She was so polite, helpful, and lovely . A credit to the team. She made our experience so much better. Would definitely go again.

What a wonderful place to eat ! The atomsphere is so relaxed and warm, when I was there it got really busy there was only one server ( here name was Zos) she was so plesent and happy even tho see was rushed off here feet making sure avarything was okay for everyone in the pub. I hope she gets commended for her hard work, she is a great asset to the pub and to Green king as a whole. Also the kitching staff keeping up with all the order coming and getting them out in a timely matter they all do a wonderful job. I will defently be returning very soon

Come down to enjoy the garden in this lovely weather. Even know there were only two members of staff in they couldn’t t have done more to help me. The Burger Of The Month was spectacular and full of flavour. The cold flint eye also went down a treat.

We visited this pub with some friends and were pleasantly surprised. We were served by a young man called Josh who was brilliant, we received first class service the food orders taken quickly followed by prompt arrival to our table. The meals were lovely and reasonably priced. Our whole experience is was superb and we would both revisit and recommend to our friends and family the old farmhouse is def worth a visit. We ordered the children’s chicken strips, chips and veggie sticks. We he chicken strips were a bit of overcooked chicken I could not cut with a knife. No cucumber sticks and no explanation. I has rump steak that was just gristle. Also a burger that was lovely. No member of staff asked how our meal was. Very disappointed as I had heard good review.

Service is always good. Can’t do enough for you. Food tasty and good value. Our go to Place even though we have to travel.

Always a pleasure coming to the farmhouse! I love the new decor and change up really welcoming feel. The staff are always on hand to help and assist. The food was excellent as usual. Whether it was for a drinks or food always professional service and quality.

If you like standing at the bar like a lemon whilst they serve everyone as soon as they turn up before you I'd definitely recommend it.

As always a delightful experience, food was superb, beer was superb and all staff done a superb job. Food was incredible highly recommend the wings with chipotle mayo sauce, Luke the chef even came out to say hi, very good chef and lovely guy, ash on the bar was a pleasure to chat to and Kayleigh was our waitress who was also very good at her job.

Good food, good friendly service. They do have hic ups, mainly when busy. On the last visit we had fish and chips with peas and wow it was very tasty. Full points to the 👨‍🍳

Went for breakfast with a few mates. My wrap was tasteless and my mates food was not great either. Drinks were good tho.

Really dissapointed cold burger& gravey for husbands pie stone cold which he poured on his meal and i had a old hard pea on my plate which my meal didnt come with peas

We love all about the old Farmhouse, the above and the decoration. We definitely recommend it.

It's ok for a cheap eat. Music is always far too loud in the restaurant, not ideal if you want to actually speak to who you are eating with! Menu is ok but still somehow feels like it lacks variety. It's good value if there are an even number of you to partake in the deals. I generally go for the gammon as it has always been cooked well. The use of the app to order food and drinks directly to your table is fabtastic. You don't have to send someone off to order, the conversation can continue to flow and for introverts or those who have difficulty engaging with strangers it's a game changer. The only improvement on the app would be the ability to request to remove items (i.e. mushrooms on a breakfast, jalapenos etc).

Nice friendly pub with good old pub grub.

I ordered 3 adult meals and a kids. The kids' meal arrived on a plate so hot it burnt my hand, so I had to request a colder plate, and my 2yr nephew would have certainly hurt himself. My lasagne arrived, and it was the strangest I've ever had. One end of the dish was the cheese sauce, the middle just pasta and the other end was sauce with a little meat and carrots.

Fantastic service from the staff could not fault them definitely be back. Will definitely bring the family.

Slimy hunters chicken Lasagne that was badly burned with very little meat or sauce Burnt garlic bread that was then replaced with unkooked garlic bread Lastly a side order of chips that costs £2.99 and you get the amount in the photo. Drink in the photo was for scale. Complained, and the waiter never even returned to talk to us. I would be embarrassed if I was the chef. Don't bother wasting your time or money, just don't go there.
