Great sandwich and great coffee. Service was exceptional and welcoming for our dog too. The Vanilla Bun was a great way to end our time!

Super little cafe with utterly delicious baked breads, pastries and buns. The sourdough loaves on their rustic shelves look & smell wonderful! Enjoyed a perfectly brewed coffee from their own roastery and a vanilla cream bun which was heavenly. The staff were so happy and friendly, I have to mention them all so thank you Harriet, Charlotte & Izzy - what a lovely little place!

The lady who served me was not very friendly. This was my first visit here. I ordered food and was standing waiting for it, the server didn’t tell me until I’d been standing there for a while that she’d bring it over… when she did bring it over she gave me a knife to eat a sandwich? It was not a nice atmosphere, the servers behind the counter were smashing around emptying the dishwasher. Couldn’t hear myself think. Wouldn’t go back here.

Great coffee. Three staff on duty. Two meeting and greeting and one making coffee and clearing table and loading and unloading dishwasher. The greeters took just a little too long before they stopped their personal conversation to convince us we were welcome. The worker at least gave us a timid smile. Greeters were disturbed once in 15 minutes to slice a loaf but that didn’t break their flow of chat despite the customer being in front of them. Toilet was out of action. Not good for an establishment that serves food.

Lovely Hoxton, calmer vibe than Winchester, which I personally prefer early in the morning. Maple and Pecan Swirl never disappoints and love the bread. Shame the boss man visiting today doesn't have a volume button! He's a very shouty talker and in a small space it's a bit much when you're trying to have a chilled cuppa. We all now know the comparison of business pace between Winchester and Lymington and whose doing what shifts when!

Hoxton has beautiful, tasty pastries - every one a winner, but I'm a big fan of the vanilla buns. They're a bit pricy, and therefore a bit of a treat, but you get what you pay for... Hoxton sourdough bread is easily the best in town, and the coffee is always top notch - the lovingly made lattes are smooth and comforting. From my regular visits the staff are always friendly and welcoming. And they are even happy for my slightly annoying puppy to faff around by my feet - what's not to like?

First time visiting this place, plus we were sheltering from the downpour outside. Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely coffee. Decided to have a cinnamon bun with it and it was truly yummy; tasty and light. Will definitely be returning.

Great coffee and lovely range of baked goods on offer. I visited with friends on a morning and we sat inside where the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We enjoyed coffees, cinnamon buns and vanilla buns, all were delicious. The coffee was great too. A great place for sitting inside or coffee and food to go.

I absolutely adore Hoxton Bakehouse because every time I go to them the staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome. Pastries and sandwiches are very tasty especially the breakfast bun being toasted and the variety of drinks are really great plus the music is always fantastic when you are chilling out in the cafe. Overall I really recommend that this place is checked out if you are in Lymington.

When to Hoxton Bakehouse as recommended by a friend. On arrival we could see all the mouthwatering fantastically presented bakes and partook in a vanilla and a chocolate and orange swirl. They were good. We also ordered two drinks to drink 'in'. Despite serving tea, they do not supply white sugar. In any form. To anyone. Company policy apparently. What a ridiculous cheapskate decision. So now disgruntled we also found the decor to be utilitarian at best, uncomfortable and sticky. None of which would I have even considered leaving a review about if there had only been some white sugar!

Lovely little bakery - warm, friendly with delicious produce. Ignore the prig wittering on about covid precautions and giving 1 star in his review. He needs to get out (and go in) more.

I visited the Hoston bakehouse today and decided not to enter. Whilst the govt has relaxed covid restriction it has still has advised certain precautions are necessary especially with a rising Delta variant and a large number of unvaccinated 18 to 25 years olds – the Hoxton BH staff are not wearing masks and not behind Perspex screens , customers are being served without masks and there were no obvious hand sanitisers available. Shops are required to have H&S risk assessments in place i.e. in order to protect their staff. I am not prepared to be placed at risk – also remember even if you have been vaccinated you may not have the antibodies to fight off covid and you can still get covid, which you may pass onto some who is vulnerable e.g. a grandparent.

Very poor. Tried to visit here at lunchtime but big queue, only one girl serving who spent fifteen minutes making one coffee whilst chatting to a local about how little she earned and what other jobs are available locally. Gave up.

I've visited the Happy Cheese quite a few times over the past 5/6 years, unfortunately on our last visit the place has started to look abit tired and run down. The staff are always very friendly but the drinks we had weren't great and did put us off eating there! It's a real shame as it used to be so good.

Absolutely fantastic meal, booked ahead as we knew it would be busy due to the great reputation this classic old pub has. A lovely table had been set up in the sunny courtyard, which we sat at after ordering 2 thirst quenching pints of Inches cider (did have a laugh with the bar staff🧐). From the specials board, we shared the garlic Crevettes (didn’t want to be shellfish🤣),…fantastic served with bread to mop up the sumptuous buttery goodness. Having seen the schnitzel go past earlier, my better half decided on that with myself choosing the cod loin from the special board. Both were amazing in all aspects, with special detail taken enabling the seasonal flavours to flourish throughout. Special mention for the black garlic aioli served with the cod 🤤 Absolutely stuffed we had a DJ Steve (private joke:didestive ) of Calvados with the merry landlord, who like myself and girlfriend are allies of the LGBTQ+ community 🏳️🌈. I would highly recommend a visit this beautiful pub in the New Forest coastline.

Took 1hr 10mins for our meals to arrive and over 10 minutes to tell me they didn't have the meal I'd ordered. When the two kids meals arrived they both had no peas and we were then told they could have brocoli instead. The 6 adult meals arrived 5 mins later but one steak was rare (asked for medium), they brought another which was also undercooked so brought a third which was well done. By then we'd all finished our meals (it was around 1hr 40mins after we arrived at this point). When the bill came we'd been charged for everything which we queried with the manager who finally deducted the steak but left us paying the 12.5% service charge. Very disappointing experience. Update: After I posted this review, the management got in touch to apologise and said they had looked into the issues. They acknowledged the problems and offered a voucher as a gesture of goodwill. I appreciated the follow-up and hope this was an isolated incident, as the response showed they do care about customer feedback. We're looking forward to going back with our family who live locally and have said they've not had a bad meal there before.

Went in for a beer before a curry next door. Frosty reception from staff & customers. Returned to watch football but told was shutting at 10pm despite poster in window stating Wednesday closing was 10:30pm. After our last orders, people arrived & served, others came in with takeaway food. Clearly, non locally are not welcome .
