Had afternoon tea here at Beaulieu inn yesterday 24th February 2025, for my partners birthday treat. Set in a lovely location and luckily the sun came out for a while so we could enjoy the beautiful view. Upon entering, we were welcomed with a smile and greeted promptly and professionally. The table was set beautifully and the drinks came in good time. We were asked about allergies etc as to change the menu if required however this wasn’t necessary so our food was brought out when ready. Displayed to perfection and a full detail of what we were having. I must say the food was delicious and the scones were especially good. It was an amazing lunch and priced right too. And for an extra little touch they made up a small plate with happy birthday written in chocolate and an extra desert piece which was very well received Many thanks to the staff at Beaulieu Inn. Highly recommend for any afternoon tea lovers!

We generally stay at the South Lawns when we are up but we had an equally great time here. The staff are fantastic and make sure you have everything you need. We forgot our tablet when we left but were called before we went to far and got it so many thanks. They have a swimming pool and a very spacious bar and relaxing area. They have a warning about wi-fi but we had no problems. A lovely stay with plenty of attention and walks for our dog.

Absolutely waste of money! Fab location in the middle of the forest but shocking behaviour by hotel staff allowing an 18th birthday party to go on till way past midnight. Drunk people running up and down the corridor, people shouting. The music was so loud and vibrating. Hotel staff were extremely unhelpful by saying ‘it does state on our website that we hold events’. We really should have been informed out of courtesy that an event was going on during our stay! Don’t waste your money, I wish we hadn’t bothered coming here and if it wasn’t such a long drive home I would be leaving now. You go to a rural location away from everything for a relaxing weekend, only to have to suffer drunk behaviour, unacceptable loud music and unhelpful staff.

Whilst room 5 needs some attention (problems reported at the time) it was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Above all, staff were genuinely friendly and loved dogs. Our thanks particularly to Helen, Dominic and Natalie on reception.

THANK you! - Hotel lounge- Cozy and intimate feel, monopoly, cards on offer - Room/ Hallway areas- a bit tired, could do with an update.. though the rooms were clean and bed was comfortable

It's not a very good hotel if you ring and no body answers and then to be annoyed by a automated answer machine.

We had a very bad experience staying here. There were flies in the bathroom, and the place was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The pool wasn’t working even when querying before booking and was assured it was open which was very disappointing. we got locked out in the rain for 20 minutes because no one answered the phone and we wasn’t informed the doors would be locked after a certain time. Helen was defensive and not understanding towards my concerns at all and was looking for more of the leg to stand on other than a solution! Refusing any form of refund and dismissing my reasons as to why we left unhappy. On top of that, I had an allergic reaction to dust and pet dander, so it didn’t feel clean at all. It’s a shame because the location itself is lovely, but the overall stay and lack of compassion from staff was far from enjoyable. Don’t recommend!

Nice big room, reasonably furnished. The staff are great, really helpful, and the food is ok. But, and it's a big but, I write this review at 4am having been kept up by noisy trains on the (very) nearby line idling, revving their engines and beeping their horns all night. Have barely slept all night. Wouldn't stay here again.

Where to begin? Room had no electricity or heating when we turned up, so the room was freezing. Wasn't explained there was a master switch for all the room facilities, so had to trudge back to reception to get it sorted. Shower hose was so short it coul not be raised more than halfway up it's mount. Even my wife who is five foot nothing struggled to get under it. Also, the spray panel is almost pointless. After both of us had a shower, the floor was like a lake and had to use all the towels to mop it up. The hotel had emailed me offering additional services for the room and I asked to book a bottle of Prosseco as it was my wife's birthday. This didn't happen, and given how cold the room was when we turned up, it would have been nicely chilled. Breakfast was a disaster. Took nearly 50 minutes to get breakfast bought out (wasn't busy), and only after I went up to chase it. Also had to ask for more hot drinks after 40 mins of waiting. Staff were apologetic and said their ticket machine had broken. Drinks are really quote pricey at the bar. £6 for a pint of Becks and £27 for two gin and tonics 😳 I appreciate it's not Wetherspoons, but still on the expensive side. The barman in the Drift (Jason?) was not what you'd call friendly and really made us feel like we were putting him out. We moved to the hotel bar after one drink. The lady there was lovely. Over all really disapointing and spent most of the evening apologising to my wife. Should have been a nice birthday stay for her, but unfortunately it wasn't. Great location and I'd like to say I'd be back, but unfortunately, I wouldn't choose to come here again. Disappointing

4 night stay in school holidays. Negative: The rooms although are clean are incredibly dated, chipped paint and old bathroom and carpets are stained. Positive: The beds are comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is not in the hotel but it is opposite across the car park which is a benefit as it doesn't make anything smell of food. Swimming pool is smaller than expected, as the photos make it look bigger. The opportunity to walk straight from the hotel was great. Walked into Lyndhurst with a view of getting a taxi back.... £26 for 3.5 miles.... so we walked back to!

Spacious room, nice decor with a lovely comfy bed. A massive plus was the water pressure coming from the shower....best ever! Indoor small swimming pool. Location - beautiful view across the New Forest one side and a stones throw away the other side is a lovely pub and restaurant serving delicious restaurant food..pie and mash (for me)Chicken burger with chips (wife)massive beef burger and chips (Grandson aged 12). £175 for one night in the family room, yes we would return if down that way.

Booked the Beaulieu Inn for a weekend trip and really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is beautiful and set in a scenic part of the New Forest with ponies, donkeys and cows all around. Nice outdoor play area for the kids and also an indoor swimming pool. Very close to the train station. Staff nice and friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. A couple negatives: - We could hear people out in the hallways and stairways due to gap under hotel room door, however sound proofing between rooms was decent. - The staff in the pub on site were rude and not at all welcoming. When we came in for food they told us completely unapologetically that they were fully booked despite the place looking practically empty.

Brilliant place to stay and the food was excellent. No idea where some of the negative reviews have come from as that hasn't been our experience.

We had a cream tea for two voucher bought for us which we decided to use today. The hotel is beautifully located and and the dining / bar area tastefully decorated with a nice airy contemporary feel. Lots of people had arrived all at the same time for cream teas and checkin and the chap on reception was a little bit stressed out (by his own admission!!) but we were duly seated and drinks orders taken. The food soon arrived and was delicious. Plenty enough to go round and all of it fabulous. Good flavours and interesting combinations especially with the ‘sweets’ and a lovely spot to eat them in. An open fire was roaring at one end of the lounge and we were seated on comfy sofas at the other .. all in all a nice experience and we would certainly go back!!

A pretty awful hotel tbh. Room and hotel very tired and unloved. The pool was virtually unheated and not pleasant to swim in. The breakfast service was very inconsistent. One day was ok-ish and the next staffed by untrained kids. As for the room : Bath base was spongey and just needed replacing Extractor fan didn’t work Sink waste had broken and was stuck shut (they fixed but then no plug for the stay) Shower screen leaked badly Bath had mould on it Bed had a white powder on all the corners (who knows but lack of housekeeping) Carpet was just worn out and dirty Bunk bed ladder fell off as wasn’t secured and gave my wife a nasty bump on head Bedroom nothing like the pictures at all I won’t be returning

We spent 4 nights here for Easter 2024 and it’s a really lovely hotel in an excellent location within The New Forest. The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times with the rooms rustic and cosy in style. Its peaceful, dog friendly and extremely quiet at night. The Drift restaurant is conveniently part of the complex and does a nice breakfast service and overall it’s great when you are looking to relax and not rush about. There is also a nice pool which is open for use throughout the stay when you book and would recommend booking with them directly for the best deals. The only key note to make for bookers is that the WiFi doesn’t work very well across the site due to it being rural but being extremely fair to them they communicate this with you on booking and on arrival but take this into account if you need internet regularly throughout. We actually found this more of a blessing in disguise wanting to get away from everything and spend more time outdoors and not being chased up about work things etc and the mobile data works most of time if really needed. There are lots of walks and other activity’s all within reach of the hotel by foot and or car and there is a train station right next door that runs a limited service at weekends. We booked the deluxe double and found it a really nice luxury stay at a good price & we would very happily visit again for another stay 🙂🌳

I spent a night in the hotel, I liked everything in the hotel, the pool (a bit cold), the areas around the hotel, the lounge with the chimney, the bar, the playground is nice, the areas around to walk are beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything was good for me and my family! Booked with breakfast included and it was worth it.

Stunning location in the New Forest with some amazing views . Would happily return and thoroughly recommend. Just minutes from the Museum by car. Even has 7kw & 50kw chargers on site. Swimming pool is a tad shallow and small but still nice to have the option to chill out in for a while.

Oh dear. I so wanted to give this a higher score. The staff are friendly is the one real positive. Otherwise....... Rooms and building in general in dire need of decor improvement. Food portion sizing and presentation very lacking. Room amenities laughable and in our case very dangerous (bedside lamp had broken at bulb base and could have electrocuted someone). Second lamp also had to be removed for repair. TV in the room is the size of a postage stamp. No USB sockets. Green ceiling night light clearly came from Heathrow Airport it's so bright. Overall, I would stay somewhere else in the area. Oh, it is very handy for the train station, as the railway line is adjacent to the property.

Super little cafe with utterly delicious baked breads, pastries and buns. The sourdough loaves on their rustic shelves look & smell wonderful! Enjoyed a perfectly brewed coffee from their own roastery and a vanilla cream bun which was heavenly. The staff were so happy and friendly, I have to mention them all so thank you Harriet, Charlotte & Izzy - what a lovely little place!

Extremely disappointed...I moved into the same building where this restaurant is located a few days ago. Tried ordering one on our first night but were closed, despite Google saying they were open...so tried them tonight...ordered a prawn kung po and got a prawn sweet and sour......which I hate.....also ordered a crab claw which we never got. With no explanation we got samosas instead (smallest samosas ive ever seen). Real shame, being so close we could have given this place some solid buissness but are not looking to return.
