We had a lovely evening at The Crown with delicious food. We have been a few times recently and each time the food has been excellent.
How nice that it’s not run by a chain but a proper local pub.

Turned up with 3 adults and 4 kids and they sorted us out with hot chocolate suitable for the kids, sweet snacks and hot delicious coffee for the adults. Nice and clean and very friendly service. Excellent.
I booked a large table for 13 of us to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea after we’d had a fab time in the Tulley’s Escape
Rooms as my Halloween themed Hen Party.
The staff were very accommodating as I wanted to hang some bunting and put out table decorations. Of course, I prearranged permission before-hand but they were very obliging and friendly!
The food was delicious and well presented. They also catered for one party member being dairy free.
Very happy with my experience and will not hesitate to book again!
Ordered takeaway. Got here quicker than I ever expected. Food was the perfect temperature. Ordered multiple items, can't fault a single one. Our curry choices were medium - medium hot. A nice spice level packed with loads of flavour. Definitely our new go to Indian.
Lovely local cafė.
Staff were great, service was spot on.
Food was good.
Good portions too.
Great meet up place.
Parking is easy.
Thanks for a good experience.
The food here I have generally always thought of as a better quality than any other local Thai restaurants which I accepted the higher prices for. Having spent two years living in Thailand eating only Thai cuisine, and being able to speak some of the language also, I was unfortunately disappointed in the lack of 'dining out' experience we had here. Not even a single candle or a flower at the tables, they were literally bare. No authentic decor or staff uniform etc. There was a portable gas fire in the middle of the restaurant for heating which didn't help the overall ambience; it just felt much more geared up to being a takeaway venue with a few tables for good measure than a lovely restaurant experience. The same food in a different environment would have tasted much better I'm sure!
We were driving through East Grinstead and needed a dog friendly place to eat. CJ's came up and we decided to give it a ago.
The staff, especially the woman behind the bar was so kind and accommodating. We had two dog and a push chair with a 10 month old.
She suggested the perfect table with lots of space and they gave us a booster seat which attaches to the stool, as well as loads of dog treats for our pooches.
We ordered the Club Sandwich and BLT's and were all really happy with our food and drinks.
Would definitely go again.
I always tend to trust a restaurant or cafe when you can see into the food preparation area and watch your meal being prepared. Add good quality ingredients, friendly service and a small but varied menu and you’ve got a great little lunch spot.
The first time to AG’s although we have visited the Reflections restaurant in the same location on a few previous occasions.
We had Christmas lunch, and the whole experience from arrival, with drinks in the Champagne Lounge to departure was amazing. The quality and presentation of the food was exceptional as was the high level of service and attention from the staff.
Highly recommended on every level
I was staying in the appartments next door to this Pub for the month of October.
I was told not to Park in the Top House Car Park and indeed did not - as I didnt have a car with me!
My family did on occasion drive into the entrace of the Car Park to pick me up - they didnt Park, turn the car engine off or get out of the car, They were stopped for about 90 seconds,
On each occassion somone came ut of the pub and told them that we would be recieving a GBP100 fine for doing this.
I had consided having dinner at the Pub while I was staying but because of this decided not.
