Ordered a meal for me & my elderly mum . She had a steak & cheese ciabatta & I had an all day breakfast. My food was ok a bit overpriced in my opinion. Mums was disgusting , the steak was grey & like shoe leather. There was also flys everywhere. I asked for a refund for Mums food which the friendly staff processed promptly. I did over hear other customers complaining. Not sure if they have new kitchen staff but I’d definitely think twice about visiting again.

You think they are scraping the bottom of the barrel, but on your next visit, they find a new low. Every single time. This place used to be amazing. I lived a mile or two away for the first 25 years of my life and still go back to eat and drink regularly, but I can't believe how this place manages to keep getting worse rather than better. The only reason we keep (kept) going back is because it's central to a group of old friends with similar-aged kids who can play in the garden. My main gripes: 1: It takes 7 minutes of waiting at the bar before you even see a member of staff, let alone get served. Then you realise they are all sat chatting next door in reception rather than looking out for the occasional customer. At lunch time. And then act surprised to see anyone. 2: The food has been going downhill so fast that we adults stopped eating there two years ago and only feed the kids. But now my three-year-old hasn't eaten the last two meals they served there and I can't blame her having seen the plate... 3: THEY PUT A FRUIT MACHINE NEXT TO THE BAR?!?!? What kind of idiot thinks that is a good idea? It's a country pub, not a Wetherspoons in a train station! Putting a giant, ugly, flashing box of lights that constantly distracts diners trying to enjoy what little is left of the atmosphere is either tone-deaf or a desperate grab for money. Likely both. 4: Don't try to access the rear of the car park unless you have a 4x4 with decent ground clearance, proper offroading tyres and a winch. Plus a snorkel if it's been raining. 5: You can't sit on the covered bench in the car park as a member of staff uses it as a permanent parking space for their motorbike. Your comfort is less important than their seat remaining dry. 6: Management has ignored the mole problem in the garden for so long that getting to the play equipment is equivalent to competing in an episode of Takeshis Castle. Not everyone is going to get there without a few bruises happening along the way. It's not a lawn, it's a challenge. In fact, rather than the desperate money grab that is the fruit machine, Greene King should rent out the front garden to the infantry to practice trench warfare. Yes, this is a proper rant. No, I didn't need to write it, but it's cathartic. I have an emotional investment in the Hunters Hall. I grew up nearby and have the HH to thank for many of my friends, my first proper girlfriend, my first proper job, my first proper hangover and many other things too. I spent three nights a week in the Hunters during my twenties and have spent THOUSANDS there. It's so disappointing to see what it has become. When I win the euro millions, I will buy the Hunters for whatever sum Greene King asks, fire the staff (preferably out of a canon and into a volcano), and turn it back into the place it used to be.

We have visited the Hunters Hall for many years when we lived in the area. However having moved away we have now stayed there twice whilst visiting friends. As the listing suggests that only double beds are available we opted for the single beds on the first occasion. We so enjoyed staying that when we booked the second time and found that they weren't available we decided to brace ourselves and book a double bed. We were pleased to find that in fact that it was a king size bed in a delightful room. The rooms are in a separate building just outside the hotel, so we were able to park the car very close to the room and in our case there were no stairs to climb with baggage. Perfect. What a change from the national chain hotels we usually use and very competitive. Wifi was great - i watched a football match without any interruption. The hotel/pub , as always, very friendly and accommodating. The food is reasonably priced and good value and for us a good choice of real ale as well. We shall definitely visit again.

Don’t order Caesar Salad with Chicken Fillet @ £10.99. It arrived and was basically a plate of chopped up lettuce with a shaving of chicken breast and dressing. 5 people in our group ordered this and all agreed it was really poor.

Food and service was excellent. Good value for money and made a good day for us all. Plenty of car parking and clean and tidy

We had a lovely family meal for a large group of us today. There is a lovely beer garden with a good children's playground which makes it perfect for a warm sunny afternoon. The food was served in good time and the staff were happy to accommodate our needs such as a particular table we requested and allowing us to use our own birthday cake. Thank you very much!

Popped in here with some chums of mine for a few jars and a proper sit down meal. Had the lamb shank which was most excellent then washed it down with their green king IPA, cracking! The staff were lovely too, very friendly and chatty. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu. Carpark has more craters than the moon but apart from that it’s all good 👍🏼

Extremely disappointed with the service! 😡😡 Last night my husband and I eventually left Hunters Hall Inn, Tetbury without being served! We had a table booked for 18:30. Upon arrival we waited to be helped. Didn't get a welcome either and instead was literally pointed to go sit at a table instead of being shown to one. We were told it was going to be a 40 minute wait but someone will come get our drinks “soon”…this was our welcome message. While we waited we saw people ask for food to be sent back as it was stone cold, but even on the second attempt to get their food to them, it was stone cold again second time around! 22 min in to our wait a waiter finally came and apologized and said ordering food will still take a while and they will come back a bit later to take our food order. I asked the waiter can we at least order drinks so long?! He said “oh yes sorry!”. Took our drinks order and never came back!! So after 30 minutes of waiting we left! We ended up going to another Greene King pub, we were seen to within 8min upon arrival, and had our starters 5 min after that and our main 9min after that!!! And they were busy as well but had a much better system in place! So no excuses of being busy will cut it! I am highly disappointed! We booked this evening well in advance and have told so many people about how great the food and service WAS at Hunters Hall Inn….but sadly this is not the case anymore.

We visited yesterday for the tractor charity event for McMillan cancer charity. We stopped for lunch which was delicious as always. I had the Mac n cheese, my husband had a burger and kids had chicken nugget kids meals. Service was brilliant and the food was fantastic. The hunters hall is our go to for fantastic food at a brilliant price!!

A group of 7 girls, we met here for a long awaited get together & had the most fabulous evening! It was made more special by the staff who served us. The choice of food was excellent too in a very relaxed & friendly atmosphere.

Service was friendly but stretched; there didn’t seem enough staff on. The menu was varied and there were a few dishes I would have tried. Chose chicken and ham pie. The seasonal vegetables were 3 dry/burned carrots and what I can only assume were frozen peas. Not quite seasonal veg. The meal was fine but felt very much like a ready meal/packet meal that I could have done myself.

Yesterday we had my 75th birthday, family party in the upstairs, private room. The staff really did us proud as there were 14 of us & it involved bringing all our meals up quite narrow stairs! The food was lovely as always & the staff went out of there way to ensure we had everything we needed as promptly as possible. Thanks go them all, I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I would certainly recommend.

Both sides of our family met here for dinner the night before our wedding. The staff were really helpful and service was great even though there were so many of us! The food was super tasty and had a good variety for all the family.

Stayed as centre for touring the Cotswolds. 3 nights dinner bed and breakfast. Comfy rooms, beds and pillows decor a little tired but nothing to spoil our stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. We visited twice this week while on holiday in the area. The food was delicious, sensibly priced, all staff were friendly and helpful and there is a large car park. The plus points also include that the business is dog friendly, welcomes young families and also participate in the Blue Light Card discount scheme. We will definitely return when next in the area.
