That's Amore in Mid Sussex

Just off Lindfield high street, went to this small Italian for a family birthday dinner. Food was great- we enjoyed several pasta dishes, I had the poker pizza which was amazing followed by desserts- i had the cannolo, which was nice. Although the place lacked ambience & warmth (unlit candles, inattentive staff didn’t check in on food / drinks, forgot some ordered items). Regulars seemed to get much better service.

Lovely meal again prawns, squid and w white bait to start followed by Pizza and gnocchi with pesto as mains., my Puzza could have done with a tad more sausage Good service

We ordered That's Amore on Deliveroo. 3 people--three pasta courses and 2 starters. Total over £71! One of the pasta courses was huge, another normal, and the third--the one my teenager ordered--was barely four bites. Not enough food for him! The calamari was undercooked and tough. The pastas were unremarkable and not particularly flavourful. Garlic bread was great. Food arrived hot, but we waited TWO HOURS to get it when the restaurant is only a five-minute walk from our house. This was mid-week, mind you, not even a busy Friday or Saturday night. This was the first time we've tried this place, and it will also be the last.

We have been to That’s Amore several times since moving down to Lindfield/Haywards Heath a year ago. The food is delicious: authentic Sicilian/Italian cuisine to die for! The pasta dishes and the Pizzas are world class, as are the seafood and meat dishes. We went there again this week for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday - 6 adults and 7 grandkids. Everyone was thrilled with their meal choices and the service was so attentive and friendly. The birthday cake we ordered for the occasion was baked and decorated at the restaurant and was first class. In my business career I entertained clients all around top London and World restaurants. When I go to heaven - hopefully not too soon - I want to eat at That’s Amore 4 times a week! 😂 Speak to Simona - she will fix anything for you! Celebrations, birthdays, or just lunch or dinner!

Restaurant has a nice feel with seating inside and out, staff were friendly and attentive. Starters were tasty especially calamari and garlic bread. Mains arrived sadly missing one - my Linguini Octopus was very bland with little to no flavour however our friends same dish that turned up 5 minutes later was a totally different taste and so much better. I will give the Restaurant another try as I feel I was probably unlucky that night.

Evening started slowly as the restaurant was PACKED! I can see why!! Starters were delicious and fresh and very generous in portion sizes. The mains were FANTASTIC!! I had lobster spaghetti and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. So generous with the lobster. Another of our party had the prawns which were huge and another very generous portion. Pasta dishes also wonderful. The bill was very reasonable! Service was slow to start but improved quickly. Im looking forward to the next time!

A lovely little Italian restaurant tucked away off Lindfield High Street. Very friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. The food freshly prepared was delicious. Went with our son, his wife and our granddaughter all had different dishes.

We had a great experience here. The staff are warm and welcoming and were very understanding/empathetic to my husbands vulnerability. They made our visit relaxed and special. A big thank you to Simona and Sam who looked after us; it’s a day we won’t forget. Hats off to the chef too. The food was absolutely delicious, so much so that we ordered pizzas to take away to eat the following day. Thanks again. We look forward to eating with you again soon.

Truly excellent Italian food. We went here for a birthday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fillet steak was cooked perfectly and the prawns were full of flavour. Thoroughly recommend.

This is a lovely Sicilian restaurant with great food and friendly service. Nice for an evening meal for two but children are also made very welcome.
