The best restaurants in Mid Sussex South East

Not sure why my review didn’t save, this place is fantastic. Ordered online and it said it would take 70 minutes to arrive- was a bit over this time but that’s ok. We had Spring Rolls which were nice but looked a bit like someone had sat on them, pork dumplings which were small but nice, Pad Thai was generous in size and delicious and Moo Grob was really nice too. Have used this place a couple of times and always been really happy with their excellent food and service.

5 star service the best place to take your family for a lovely meal. Simply the best customer service and value for money will def be back to eat in this restaurant again.

A proper cafe at that level you really need when you do! Good fun menu with all vast array of options and some others you didn’t expect. Very good service and smiles too :)

Last year I celebrated my birthday in this place. I liked the food and the atmosphere, there are not many people and you can spend time quiet with family and friends. Recommend for this events.

Meeting up with a group of very close friends at The Hassocks for lunch. We decided to return to this venue because of their hospitality and friendly staff, in particularly Chloe who is very warm & welcoming young lady. The menu choices are excellent. We all enjoyed the tasty lunch including desserts. We as a group will return again next year for another lunch. We highly recommend The Hassocks. Well done to all the staff for our day enjoyable.

What an amazing chippy, as a proud northerner for some 50 years or more, I’ve eaten more than my fair share of what I thought the North had to offer, and to be honest I wasn’t sure so far South, that this could be done. Well, I take my hat off to you here, from the military method of frying exactness and excellent customer service to the crispiness of the chips and the utterly amazing accompanying battered Lemon Sole and lovely tasting mushy peas. I enjoyed, both fried items without a single hint of grease on either item, and all served cooked to perfection. Thanks again for an amazing Chippy Tea. I’ll definitely be back.

Attended a friends birthday at Roccos on Saturday night. Nice setting and a lovely welcome from the staff; cocktail menu was good, something to please everyone and appropriately priced. We preordered our food due to the size of the party and I must admit it took me a while to choose as it all sounded so tasty!! In the end I opted for the beef carpaccio as starter which was delicious followed by a pasta dish (paccheri ossolani) which was also very tasty. Would happily go back and try some other yummy options from the menu. Thanks for a fab evening.

We had a family dinner here for 15 and everything about it was excellent. The food was served promptly and was perfect, it was a fun and very relaxed evening. The singer was a surprise but he was amazing and made the evening even more special..

We ordered a takeaway from Lemon Leaf for my 30th birthday meal. We ordered through the Just Eat app at 6:30pm. At 8:00pm we still had not had the delivery so I phoned the restaurant only to be brushed off with being told 'it's on its way'. Half an hour later the restaurant phoned back to say actually it wasn't on its way (not sure why they felt the need to lie the first time I asked) and that it was still being cooked because a receipt had not printed for our order. The most frustrating thing about this experience is that if they had actually listened to me when I first called and not just brushed off my query, then perhaps they could have got the issue sorted sooner. We will not be ordering from here again as they ruined what should have been a nice 30th birthday meal with their utterly terrible customer service.

Food was delicious but a 90 minute wait when I live relatively close to the restaurant is a little slow. it could possibly affect me ordering again.
