Lemon Leaf in Mid Sussex

We ordered a takeaway from Lemon Leaf for my 30th birthday meal. We ordered through the Just Eat app at 6:30pm. At 8:00pm we still had not had the delivery so I phoned the restaurant only to be brushed off with being told 'it's on its way'. Half an hour later the restaurant phoned back to say actually it wasn't on its way (not sure why they felt the need to lie the first time I asked) and that it was still being cooked because a receipt had not printed for our order. The most frustrating thing about this experience is that if they had actually listened to me when I first called and not just brushed off my query, then perhaps they could have got the issue sorted sooner. We will not be ordering from here again as they ruined what should have been a nice 30th birthday meal with their utterly terrible customer service.

Recently had a takeaway from this establishment. It took a while to arrive, 15 mins beyond the 50 minute window, and one of the dishes ended up being a vegetarian dish rather then the chicken that was ordered. But the food was quite tasty and the whole family enjoyed. 3.5/5

Just ordered for the first time. Timely arrival , and wow! Food was fantastic! We had four different main courses and some sides and they were all delicious! We will definitely be back!

Ordered food through the just eat app and topped up a £19 order to £20.10 to get the free delivery (5.8 miles away). Had two missed calls on my mobile which I guessed was the restaurant so I rang back but no answer. When the food arrived the delivery guy asked for a delivery payment. I stated that we had ordered through the just eat app and reached the free delivery amount. He said that we were out of the range. Then why am I able to order it from just eat app I'm thinking. Anyway, he said next time pay for delivery....again I'm thinking I actually can't pay more than just eat ask for. It says free delivery! On to the food, nice food all round but the naan bread was missing. Just Eat were great and rang the restaurant. The restaurant had changed the order and not included the naan as we were 0.8 miles over range which I partially understand but then Lemon Leaf need to update their options with just eat. Lemon Leaf refused a partial refund for the naan bread so Just Eat credited my account £5 to use.....elsewhere. One and only transaction with this restaurant. Shame as the food was good but lousy customer service.

Fifth time ordering from Lemon Leaf in as many weeks and after the first four being good I have had a very poor experience. Firstly, the driver called me as he was unable to find my address, I went outside and no sign of him. Worked out he was on the wrong road, so he said he was going to check his sat nav and call me back. 15 minutes later without any word from him I called to check, and he said he was almost here so to wait outside. Got the food which was luke warm then found I was missing the mango chutney which I had ordered 2 pots of. So, I called the restaurant to see if we can get the mango chutney sent out. The man who answered the phone, straight away knew the mistake and said that he had made an error but all the drivers have been sent home so there was nothing he could do other than add them onto our next order or refund £1.20. I asked for either a full refund or replacement order next time, which he straight away refused. I explained that I planned on ordering from them once a week at least a £20 order which is £80 per month of business he is going to lose if this is the attitude they are going to have. He went off to speak to someone who happened to be the delivery driver (who he told me had gone home so I guess he lied) and again argued about my postcode being incorrect which it absolutely isn't. Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps everything I have ever tried takes you my exact road. Then I explained that unless they are going to refund or replace the whole order next time I will not be ordering again, and he accepted that and didn't care. So here I am writing a review to let anyone considering ordering from Lemon Leaf that if you are unlucky and do happen to have an issue, they are not going to be interested in making up for any mistakes they made.

Just had a great takeaway from Lemon Leaf. Really tasty and GREAT value for what we got. Will definitely be returning!

The curry house in Hassocks don’t deliver so as a group of 4 adults and 3 kids we decided to give the Lemon Leaf a go. It can be risky when trying new curry houses especially as my wife has a nut allergy but I can honestly say my fears were unfounded as the whole meal was SUPERB! Chicken Korma- packed with flavour Chicken Tikka Masala- very bright red but tasty Lamb Rogon Josh - delicious King Prawn Dupiaza- good size prawns and very flavoursome Chicken Dansak - Not as hot as I would expect but tasted lovely Chicken Bhuna (Vindaloo hot) - Excellent dish, very hot but not unbearable- Perfect! Sides included rice, onion bajhees, saag aloo plain, garlic and keema naans- they were also brilliant. Nice touch with the popadoms, broken up and put into in a box. Will be ordering from here again, that’s for sure!
