Popped into the farm shop for impromptu breakfast, and was not disappointed, The staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly, the food was amazing. We will be back soon.

Disappointing breakfast, rude manager or owner and little to no ambiance (that was probably due to the shouting) So bizarre because it gets recommended on local forums quite often. Steer clear... Oh, and do they really deep-fry their sausages??

Warning - this place stops serving one hour before closing time! It would seem that this place does not need business as it refused to serve us as it was one hour before they closed. Unexpected to say the least. It's like a shop being open but not selling you anything for the last hour.

For my money they do the best all day breakfast in Brighton & Hove. Good toast, plenty of mushrooms, beans and bacon plus the best sausages. Most difficult thing is not giving too much away to the friendly dog.

Oh, where do I even begin with Wayfield Farm Shop? Let me just say, if you've ever dreamed of being herded around like livestock by a disgruntled farmer who clearly took a wrong turn into the world of customer service, then this is the place for you. The burly, ruddy-faced owner is like a character straight out of a Dickens novel—if Dickens had decided to pen a story about an irritable farmer attempting and failing to run a shop. I must admit, I had high hopes for the authentic farm experience, but who knew that authentic also meant being barked at like a border collie who misplaced the sheep? The staff, poor souls, seem to have mastered the art of tiptoeing around their own workplace, as if they're navigating a minefield of manure. I have to give them credit for maintaining their composure under the watchful eye of our not-so-friendly farmer-turned-shopkeeper. It's like a real-life episode of "Survivor: Customer Service Edition." And let's not forget the charming ambiance of the place. The constant soundtrack of shouting and being told off really adds that extra touch of rustic charm. It's like being transported to a quaint countryside farm, except instead of serenading birds, you have the delightful melody of the owner's voice letting everyone know how cross he is. If you're in the market for an unforgettable experience that leaves you questioning your life choices, Wayfield Farm Shop is the place to be. Just be prepared to be treated like one of the herd, because customer service here is udderly non-existent.

Popped in for lunch despite having read mixed reviews. It was a lovely sunny day so chose to sit outside, the available table was in the sun and the umbrella did not work so we lifted the table to move it into the shade. maybe a foot or so, almost immediately we were told not to move the furniture. We explained the situation and moved the table back, had we not already ordered and paid we would have left. The two salads ordered took a while to arrive and were underwhelming, a lot of pea shoots, the tiniest half avocado I have ever seem and maybe six slithers of halloumi, expensive for what it was. Lots of signs saying keep dogs on lead yet there was an admittedly gorgeous dog (owners?) who cruised from table to table begging. Would I recommend no, would I return no.

Awful service. Told to sit where we wanted and come to the counter to order. Paid and waited over an hour for our order - got moved as our table was 'reserved', watched as that table had its order taken at the table and then their food arrive within 10-15 minutes. Asked at the till when we could expect our food only to be told they weren't aware we had an order in. Ended up getting a refund and left as hungry as we went in and with a fed up baby. Only worth going to if you enjoy watching other people eat or if you're on a strict diet where you can't eat

visited this place first time with a walking guide it was an hour before closing but they had washed floor and cleared up to close and did ot want us in there. there were 6 of us all wanting tea and cake. so damn rude and unwelcoming. They have a resident dog that just continually barks at every customer as soon as you drive in and begs for food. Visited again with my son and husband and dogs to get a takeaway to bring on our walk. Again two very rude ladies in there serving no personality whatsoever then the husband comes out and starts telling us we cant leave our car there which we were going to ask before anyway.

A friend told me about this place - hidden from the A27 but worth a diversion and definitely on the trail of the cyclists and walkers as a path runs alongside. Once we found the location (Google Maps) it is off the main road and on a real farm. No views from the cafe though. We popped in for a quick snack and drink on our visit. The car park out front was full so we parked around the side - rather a muddy walk from the car - but no worries, people left their muddy walking boots by the door. Dogs were welcome - muddy feet or not! Great to find they stock redbush tea. Coffee was O.K. - no crema on the top which I do normally rate. My muffin was really yummy but my husband's scone rather dry and tired - unusual for him he didn't finish it. The majority of diners were there for brunch - a big fry up and I must say it did look good. Will try that next time - but will wait for the mud to dry out before a repeat visit.

My mate suggested we go here as he had been there for coffee before and hadn’t eaten. Neither of us knew about the place until a friend told him about it. The full English breakfast I had was quite simply the best I’ve had in a long long while and was excellent value to boot. This place is tucked out of the way but is obviously very popular by the amount of people that turned up whilst we where there and is dog friendly as well. Highly recommended and will definitely go again.

I have been following the Wayfield Farm fb page for a while and finally got around to visiting for a lovely lunch.I had the Sussex Rarebit and my husband had the Baked Potato with cheese and both were delicious. First dessert my husband had the treacle sponge pudding which had good flavour, but could have done with more treacle sauce as it was a little dry, even with ice cream on the side. I had the Apple and BlackBerry Crumble with custard which was lovely. The staff were wonderful, and the Farm Shop has a nice ambience. Even enjoyed meeting the friendly dog. The Farm Shop is dog friendly too. Highly recommend as the prices are great too.

The seating area of this pleasant farm cafe/shop has been enlarged recently which gives an idea of how popular it is. The breakfasts are good and the lunches can be cooked or just sandwiches, you take your choice but they as all good. If I had a complaint (and it's minor as we go a lot) it is that the service can be a bit slow and the weekend schoolkids who serve need to up the smiles.

Went for a four day holiday to Hove and went for breakfast here 3 times (went on the second day of the holiday- so would have been 4 for 4)! It’s what you would expect from a farm cafe! Full English and all the variations of it, but the difference here is all the food is from the farm and all the food is of the best quality! The most outstanding thing though is the sausages!!! Knock your socks off good!!!! If you find yourself in the area give it a go, and nose around the shop while your at it buy a pack to take home!!

Visited here as an anniversary treat, with our two dogs. We went off for a lovely walk over the South Downs and then rewarded ourselves with breakfast. We had a small farmhouse breakfast each which was cooked to perfection; crispy bacon, tasty sausage, thick toast and butter and a beautiful fried egg. The staff are lovely and friendly and the service was great. There's a great selection on the lunch menu if a cooked breakfast isn't your thing and next time we'll be trying their Sussex Rarebit. Highly recommend trying their breakfast, it will be the benchmark for all other breakfasts in the future.

As newcomers we were not disappointed. With so many over rated and over crowded garden centre restaurants in the area, this place makes a pleasant change. Guaranteed you won't come out feeling hungry if you have gone in for breakfast and the lunchtime sandwiches are good as well. All good value for money, well presented, cooked to order and in a reasonable time, unlike the long wait in other nearby establishments. Friendly helpful staff. Not a big menu, but what they do, they do well and there are some dishes of the day as well. It's not a big place but there's enough parking for the tables they have, with some seating outside. Breakfast or lunch we recommend this place, they have got this right.

The breakfast menu here was good but we did have to wait a fair while. Then our food and drinks didn’t come all at one, with the rest to come in ‘just a minute’... problem is we had heard ‘just a minute’ from other tables a number of times already and so weren’t particularly satisfied with this. Ice cream also had the taste that it had been slightly thawed and then refrozen a few times... a bit icy. But this was a dog friendly place with dog treats for sale and the resident dog (lab or retriever?) was really the star of the place!

My brother has been twisting my arm to visit for ages so today 3 of us met up with him at the Farm Shop.It is not easy to find so he led the way starting from The Texaco Kia Garage on the A23 culminating in a long farm type road (!) up an incline .We were greeted by a lovely friendly Labrador and 2 more when we went inside.Essentially it's a very large space the rear section of which has the "shop" but the food for sale is mostly in freezers so there's not a huge choice. There were nice eggs ( which we purchased after eating). The Centispiece is a very shiny red Tractor which demanded that we took it in turns sitting on it for iPhone pics.

Fifteen of us went here after a family Christmas get together and just about managed to get in. We went for brunch and managed to get round two tables after grabbing almost every available chair. We were there for brunch and the menu choice was excellent, all made to order by a hard working staff in what seemed to be a very small kitchen. The all day breakfast is a great idea plus loads of other choices for those that wanted paninis etc. I had a Suffolk rarebit which was really good made with local cheese with a side salad. The farm shop is really good too and while you're waiting for food, it isn't difficult to be enticed to look around and spend. All the prices seemed reasonable and of course there is the home bread and local veggies to buy too. Definitely a place we would go to again.

My coffee experience failed at the first hurdle. £4.95 for a flat white. A coffee that could be "enjoyed" over looking a dusty car park, or from a hard looking interior with no atmosphere whatsoever. This is just nonsense. From two previous experiences I had looked forward to sitting on the balcony overlooking the vineyard. What a let down. I believe it is a legal requirement for traders to display prices. Then is none on show for consumers to make an informed decision.

Popped in here for a bacon and sausage baguette. Was very disappointed in the baguette. I expected more in it for the money I paid. Which with a coke was over 7 pound and all I got was 1 sausage and one and a bit rasher of bacon. Not value for money in my opinion.
