Just back from breakfast with my 2 girls. We had an amazing breakfast!! Eggs Benedict x 2. Bacon/egg and hash browns. The fresh orange juice is very good! Just what is needed before shopping.

My wife and I have been to this café/restaurant 2 or 3 times over recent years whilst visiting our Daughter and Grandchildren who live in nearby Ashurst Wood. I remember taking our eldest Grandchild with us a few years back and we ate on that occasion. The food and service was good and prices very reasonable. We visited again last week but just for a mid morning hot drink. As before service was prompt, tea and cappuccino hot and delicious and prices still very reasonable. Highly recommended.

A rare trip for us to East Grinstead. Found this cafe in what I guess is the older part of town. Turned out to be the best we have tried in a very long while. One full breakfast, one “pick-and-mix” both were exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. It was noticeable how everything was freshly cooked and piping hot, lovely. Tea, coffee, and juice all good. Lovely staff, nothing too much trouble. Do try The Agora, it’s one of the best.

Popped in here when visiting the town and were more than happy with the service and food. My wife had the Tuna Mayo Baguette with myself having the Panini with similar filling. When they were delivered, the first thing that was noticeable was the good amount of filling in each. To accompany, we had a bowl of chips which was again, a good portion. I would guess they were frozen fries but were crispy thin and really done to a tee. Lovely. Our drinks (tea and coffee) were excellent and a good tasty coffee it was. Nice little place. Nothing startling but a good choice for a snack.

Came in here as we were in the area. Food is reasonably priced and service was good, however the restaurant could do with a few new tiles and a bit of work in the toilet to make it really homely. The food tasted nice -no quibbles there. We probably wouldn't visit again, but mainly because there were other cafes we would like to try.

After a trip to Queen Victoria hospital we stopped into Agora for a late lunch. I had a BBQ chicken, bacon and cheese melt panini and my husband had a burger and chips with a cup of tea. Both tasty and value for money. Service was attentive and pleasant. We would go back if in East Grinstead.

Agora and Maria the owner, are a permanent feature feature on the High Street in East Grinstead. Very convenient location. Whether you are shopping or just mooching around, just the right place to go to. In addition to the breakfast, lunch and dinner, good tea, coffee and snacks are always available. My favourite, small English breakfast.

Been here several times and only on a couple of occasions that we have had a two course meal. The least priced was about £17 for two plus drinks which is very good the maximum we have spent here was only the last meal was £27and was with 2 lots of course meals and 4 drinks. I would recommend this restaurant . Good value for what you order.

Ordered Eggs Royale - had to send back twice for split hollandaise and the final effort was splitting and basically inedible. They still charged me full price for it although I only had two bites before I sent it back a final time. Really disappointed. No apology or offer to provide anything else was made.

Went here bank holiday Monday and sat at a table. Barely got a greeting out of the lady behind the counter even though we called out a friendly hello. Waited a few minutes before she came to take our order and we considered leaving. There were only three other customers in there and they all had their orders so the place was far from busy. After taking our order the lady put the order onto the window going into the kitchen and brusquely said "food!"Another customer came in just after us and was greeted with a massive hello so I'm not sure what we ever did wrong. The food was alright. The service definitely needs improvement however. Will not be back.

Waiter had to be reminded several times to do various obvious things (soft drinks were warm and served with no ice, empty plates weren't removed from table). The owner quietly (but obviously) expressed her disdain to our waiter that a child in our group was using her phone. The toilets were in poor condition. A burger we ordered was served with no sauce - just a plain patty. All in all not a good experience.

I enjoyed a tasty lunch today at Agora, the menu offered a good variety of home cooked dishes which were served well presented and piping hot. I particularly recommend the Govec, a vegetable stew topped with spinnach, cheese and natural yogurt. Delicious! This little bistro offers very good value for money throughout the menu, including very drinkable Tempranillo wine at £12.00 a bottle and good coffee. I will go again!

The waitress was very chatty and friendly. Made us feel very welcome. Just a snack but very nice jacket potato and sandwich - served with salad with is a nice touch. Saw the pudding menu and couldn't resist the treacle pud and custard. It smelt so good as it arrived and was equally as tasty. Very nice indeed!

I've only been in there at lunch mid-week and it felt like an up-market cafe (a greasy spoon with a frock-on perhaps, although this does seem slightly unfair). With it's excellent value and good grub with plenty of selection, it was a popular place; Particularly for a perhaps older clientele. It's a shame it's not been open for a more traditional evening Turkish restaurant meal, at least when I've walked past a few times.

This used to be the old Starburger, but had a revamp about a year ago. They did try to bring a more upmarket continental menu when the change happened, but have now gone back more to the old burger menu. None the less a very good place to eat for the price. Staff are lovely and the food is very tasty so can't complain.

We had a nice meal ,but the old menu had quite a lot of Turkish food on it ,which appears to have been removed ,the menu is still quite varied ,but in my opinion seems to be going down the burger & chips road which I think EG does not need .The service has always been very good and that has not changed .....it's just a shame they feel the need to change the menu

We visited one lunchtime on the recommendation of a friend and I have to say I was disappointed. Service was exceptionally friendly but it had the feel of a very old fashioned café with formica tables.. Maybe the evenings are better. Food was basic café food with a small amount of Turkish available. Moussaka was nice enough but nothing special and starters were presented with a small amount of mixed bagged salad on the side. Hummus was smeared on the plate to make it look like a larger portion. On the other hand, it is quite cheap and there were plenty of older clients who seem to be regulars.

A huge choice of food with a Turkish slant. Beautifully presented and served and absolutely delicious. It is only a small location but has a wonderfully cosy feel. The staff are so kind and flexible giving lots of choice as to what you have with your meal. To have something different from Italian, Indian, Chinese was delightful.

This is a fairly new restaurant on the same site as its predecessor 'Starburger' and is listed as such in local directories etc. My wife and I visited on a Friday evening and found the service to be attentive with a warm welcome. As far as I know, this is the only restaurant in the East Grinstead area serving Turkish Cypriot food, so makes a nice change from the usual Chinese/Indian/Italian fare. Prices are reasonable and we both enjoyed our evening at Agora. We would recommend that you give it a try.
