My husband and I took my daughter and her friend as a birthday treat. The girls sat out of sight on another table so they could dine independently. Our waitress was amazing and really looked after the girls. They had a wonderful time. I have to say that the meal we had was really good. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

More upscale than Pizza Express, Prezzo offers a wider variety of pasta and other Italian dishes. Personally, maybe from many visits to Pizza Express, I preferred their pepperoni pizza to the one I recently had at Prezzo. But Prezzo's pizza was fine and, for all I know, more authentic. That was the only item I ate, so it comprises the whole of my food rating.

Fantastic restaurant, Staff were very welcoming and friendly Great service, wasn’t rushed at all but also didn’t have to wait long for its food. A great relaxing lunch. Yummy warm food and had a wide choice. Will be returning soon

I had a very disappointing experience at Prezzo. The atmosphere was ruined when the head chef shouted at a waitress in front of everyone, leaving her visibly holding back tears. To make it worse, he continued to gossip about her to the other chefs, loudly enough for all the customers to hear. It was uncomfortable, and after that, the food tasted horrible. Service aside (shoutout to the poor waitress), the food wasn’t worth the high prices. I also tried ordering by phone once, and the man I spoke to was rude and acted like I was wasting his time. I haven’t been back since. Great fries through!

Visited for dinner while staying in the area with my husband. Food was okay, but we've had better in other Prezzo locations. Our starters were wonderful, but considering I have coeliac disease and notified staff on arrival we thought there would be the allergen flags so they knew what was being put down on the table as it came out. Additionally, I heard the chefs having a debate over me being able to have dairy or not (I absolutely can), but a loud debate over a customer is rather awkward. Mains arrived, while hubby's pizza was okay my pasta was undercooked. The lentil Ragu was piping hot, almost scalding hot, which indicated to us that it had come out of a microwave. I did eat it, and it tasted good, but pasta could have done with longer. Presentation wasn't that great. The waitresses that served us though, were very sweet, and helpful (although we did hear a manager shout across the restaurant "the lady at table eleven is gluten free", which could be a personal issue being loudly announced) but it was okay, because it alerted people to a potential cross contamination issue. We are not sure as to whether we will return. If anyone with dietary requirements visits this establishment, they may wish that their diagnosis of having allergies/autoimmune condition is alerted to the chef discreetly, as the lack of discretion was awkward and a bit embarrassing. And the debate about my order was the same.

Really awful food. All taste pre cooked and not fresh. The chicken in the Alfredo is processed to be charging the prices they do. I am sure I would have the same experience in other Prezzos too.

I ate half of one and left the rest. I told the waitress it was not nice. But she charged me the full price anyway! Naturally we left no tip! No atmosphere at lunchtime

The food is okay however I don’t think my pasta was gone mode Italian, , the service nice, however they don’t give fresh bread and olive oil like Italy before the food. I asked for bread with my sauce and they didn’t give me. If it’s real Italian they need to give fresh bread and olive oil.

Visited Prezzo restaurant in East Grinstead. The pizza was very thin, but had very poor toppings. My table was quite close to the kitchen and I experienced a lot of stress as the chef spoke very rudely to the other chefs while working. The waitress who served our table had a tear-stained face. I think it was my impression of the environment that blocked the taste of the food, and I didn’t feel it! Outrageous and unpleasant, management should care about their employees first so they can create a great service and experience.

I was really craving for bolognese, so I order online from prezzo. Really desaponted with the quality of good and quantity as-well. No flavour, no salt, No sauce. Sad 😔

We love our local Prezzo, but this particular evening I made an error with our booking. Eric put us both at ease, was really accommodating and found us a table despite the restaurant being busy. He then was incredibly attentive as were the other waiting staff. Our only criticism was that the starters we chose were disappointing which is rare as generally we really enjoy the food. The beef ravioli was bland and watery and small and the arancini was also flavourless. This was due to the quality of the food and not in it's cooking. Thank you Eric for looking after us, but we'll go straight to the main next time!

Turned up on a Saturday night, had not booked but managed to move things round and got us in. Really great. Starters a little slow, but tasty and loved my main course - Sausage and fennel Ragu and my wife's carbonara was lovely. Finished off with flat whites ( really good) and affigato. Lovely atmosphere, really enjoyed it

Overall, Prezzo exceeded my expectations, and Rita played a significant role in making our evening special. I highly recommend this restaurant for its superb food and exceptional service.

Great food, and very friendly and helpful staff

Lovely lunch from the reasonably priced festive menu. The Tuscan Sausage dish is delicious, perfect for this time of year and so flavoursome, and not served with pasta, which for me is a bonus. The staff are warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is always good. Thoroughly recommend Prezzo East Grinstead.

Really clean and nice place, food was amazing

Felt very flat as regards atmosphere, although it was 1.00 p.m. and should have been busier. Two other couples and a single person. The choice on the gluten-free menu was good.

We had a salad, vegan pizza and kids meal. All were delicious, well cooked and came out quickly. All the staff were very nice, better than a lot of other places we've been recently and were great with kids. We booked but could have got a seat easily when we went on a weekday at 5pm. We were seated immediately and did not have to call the waiting staff over once as they were always back just when we needed them. As far as I know they had everything on the menu and it was a pretty standard but comfy place with the tables spaced out enough that, for us at least I don't think it would have felt cramped even when full. We were also able to park right outside for free too, although I think we were quite lucky but there are car parks nearby too.

Prezzo got the take away order wrong, and couldn't do enough to put it right. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Always great food and epic service.

Not many people eating so little atmosphere

Prezzo Italian Restaurant recommend it for lovers of good thin crispy pizza, delicious. The staff are good, and the whole atmosphere is welcoming. Many family with kids, so if you want quite place better to go somewhere else. We come here with family and have crafts for kids, as it is always important for me.

Me and my partner come here all the time and just left again today very satisfied. Quick service, food is great and staff is always lovely. The waitress we had today was amazing, what a beautiful person inside and out. I didnt catch her name but she had long dark gorgeous curly hair and think she was spanish (sorry if this is incorrect) Thanks again

Went to prezzo in east grinstead this evening as our usual prezzo in Tunbridge wells has been shut. Have to say that this was a very poor decision indeed! The food was mediocre at best, starters were fine (obviously frozen so hard to get wrong) but my pizza for my main course was dry as it had only a somber scraping of sauce, my friends carbonara was a tiny portion as well. Desserts were small portions of obviously pre-packaged lemon meringue pie and a biscoff cheesecake, again fine as not made in house. What really lets this place down was the service we received! We were a table of two and the restaurant was barely half full for most of the evening. We waited ages between courses for plates to be cleared, no staff checked on us throughout any food to see if it was up to par, we waited over half an hour for a dessert menu and then asked for the bill twice, didn’t receive it and had to go to the manager to ask again before finally being able to settle our tab! All in all we were there almost 3 hours and just wanted to get out! In the end a discount was applied to our bill for the trouble but other tables around us had also complained so it was clear it wasn’t just us having issues. On top of everything one waitress could be heard moaning about tables to another member of staff behind the bar which just made us feel like an inconvenience. No chance of us returning and staff should take a long hard look at themselves and ask if they really want to do the job they’re being paid for or find something else instead of moaning loudly.

I live locally and have always had a nice experience when going into the restaurant physically. However, a few times I have order for takeaway and they have been disappointing. There have been a few times when orders look like they have been slap dash and mistakes have been made. This time I ordered a foccia sandwich for lunch and ended up with plain bread and hummus. Please do better at reading the orders properly as I genuinely like the food.

Loud 'pop' music playing in every corner - I thought it was an Italian themed restaurant - Hand gel empty - really an overpriced dump - save your money

Food was really delicious and we really enjoyed but the service not great. Despite booking we had to wait a fair while to be seated but the main issue was waiting over 45 minutes between finishing our main and getting the desert menu (which we ended up skipping) while other customers where being seen to consistently and had both their main and bill within this time

Food was expensive for what it was. Waitresses were friendly but absent minded. Had to keep getting their attention to get served. Overall a bit gutted, not as good as I remember Prezzo being.

I have always had a soft spot for Prezzo and went back there last week with friends and was really disappointed. We had booked an early dinner on a Friday and when we showed up the restaurant wasn't very busy, The atmosphere was lacking but understandable for that time, but the service was extremely slow and we had to remind the servers for our drinks 2 or 3 times before they got everything right. I think the food was a real let down as well I ordered the ravioli and it didn't specify on the menu that it has mushrooms and was also really watery. Prezzo used to be somewhere you went for a nice quick and easy meal that was reasonably priced. I feel that the prices have definitely gone up but the service in this Prezzo restaurant is really lacking. Most servers seemed to be walking around but not actually checking on their tables unless they were asked to by the customer. Really disappointed and probably won't be going back.

Always enjoy going and never have a bad word to say. Make sure you register with taste card so you get 2 for 1. Not valid Friday and Saturday. Food is always great, drinks are nice and staff are friendly. You know what you're getting but very pleasant. Definitely prefer Prezzo to Bella Italia.

Firstly our waitress Rita was lovely, very welcoming & attentive As always food very good albeit the Ravioli a tad overpriced I feel Ordered starters which came very quickly, main took a very long time & people that came in after us got theirs first😳 It, with other East Grinstead restaurants seems to give takeaway orders priority over in house diners, which I feel overall should be addressed Would definitely go back for the burger & chips which was spot on

Typical Prezzo and food. Reasonable value and friendly service, although a bit slow at times. We hadn't made a reservation but they could fit us in early evening, unfortunately apparently the only place was right by the door which was a little annoying for me on a cold December's mid week night whilst I watched others turn up and be seated elsewhere without a reservation. Worth reserving a table next time!

We had a lovely meal at Prezzo East Grinstead! The restaurant itself has an impressive modern decor and the food, drink and service was great. Hats off to the chefs and main front of house chap Eric who was friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable about regional dishes in Italy. The kids liked the food as much as the grown ups and the kids menu is good value. Our Birthday girl also received an unexpected and complimentary slice of cheescake with a candle! Will definitely be returning!

Me and 7 others turned up to prezzo without a booking at 13:30 on a Saturday (booking at a different place cancelled due to lights going out!) And they were able to cater us without a booking which was great. The staff were very friendly and the food was decent (it's not authentic Italian food; it's heavily tailored for the UK's expectations of Italian food!). The only issue was that it took over 1 hour for our food to arrive. When we asked the waitress why it is taking so long, she informed us that there was only one chef working that day. Hopefully this was a one-off issue.

WE recently had lunch at Prezzo in East Grinstead. The menu was varied and easy to find attractive food options. The food was tasty and attractively presented while the service was good.

From a welcoming entrance to the attentive staff, a lovely place to visit. Food was well presented and hot. Great food, great service. August 2022 update. Still great food and service. The only let down was a loooong wait for the bill after we asked for it twice.

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff brilliant. They were short staffed and very busy but they were always courteous, cheerful and handled the situation brilliantly.

My friend and I had a lovely Saturday night dinner in the countryside for a change, as we live in London, and being Italian myself I can be very hard with judging food, but omg what a surprise! I really liked the British twist to some traditional dishes, we had the lasagna and chicken mushrooms, along some starters and everything was tasty. The best note was the service, Gaia the AGM, was super friendly and accommodated our requested. Will come back.

Very tasty spaghetti and penne dishes served swiftly. Friendly staff but parking was a little tricky. Prices have jumped a lot over the past year.

My wife and I visited with a buyagift voucher! Was this the reason for the poor service? We asked for the starters (garlic bread) to be brought out with the mains this didn't happen. When my pizza arrived I asked the server for the chilli oil, after waiting some time I got up to see if I could find it; ended up asking another member of staff who found it for me. We had to ask for additional drinks, my chocolate fudge cake arrived cold with very little cream I had stayed that I wanted tons and tons of cream. Food was OK service poor. I think its a continuity issue every single problem could of been avoided if we had just one member dealing with us. The worst part just before we left was the manager staring my wife out like some sort of Matt Lucas "Vicky Pollard" chav.

I came into prezzos with some family and a friend and the atmosphere was fantastic very friendly staff especially this young gentleman James, James had great banter and was very informative about the menu, he knew what to say and when to say it and if it wasn’t for him I probs my wouldn’t be writing this review, EXCELLENT, highly recommend.

We used to visit Prezzos often before covid. Went back yesterday. Very disappointed. They’ve changed how they prepare their dishes. I had what I usually had. It’s like it was made with cheaper ingredients and to a much lower standard. My wife had a salad which was awful. No creativity and just thrown together as cheaply as possible. Skimping on ingredients to cut costs yet charging high prices. I’ll not be going again.

Overpriced but we thought not to knock it until we'd tried it (Uber eats order). The pizza was ok, not mind-blowing but edible and fresh, although the sparse toppings didn't go unnoticed. The calzone was very thick and doughy, and they have a particular fondness of yellow bell peppers which ruined the filling. The pasta was the worst of the lot, very dry although it was described as being in a 'rich creamy sauce' and also heavy with the bell peppers. I used three packets each of salt and pepper but still couldn't get it to be edible as there was just NO sauce. Not going to be eating in or from here again, the local M&S offers better quality Italian.

Prezzo used to be good, unfortunately it's competing with worst high street franchises for the top worst dining experience. Bland pasta swimming in double cream, chewing calamari... average service quality but they never forget to ask for gratuity in the bill when you pay by card.

Very clean modern and smart joint. Staff very friendly and nice vibe about the place. Food very nice but meatballs were not hot enough temperature wise.
