Came in with my family, wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, food was delicious, portions were huge, great service, will definitely be back in future.
Ordered 2 lasagnes and the person on phone asked if I wanted beef or veggie, asked for beef and when order arrived it was 2 spaghetti Bolognese. I Telephoned to say order was wrong and they were not interested in the fact they had got the order wrong. Won’t be ordering again.

This Nero has always been our favourite, the staff and the manager are absolutely amazing as always.
Theses guys never miss a beat.
Floor is always clean, queue is always fast and drinks are always good. We’ve never had an issue with this shop.
And we’ve seen they’ve recently won a “customer service award” which is well deserved!
Best. Nero. In. Town.
Firstly with a grant the Tap Room has been completely rebuilt, bigger bar, new floor, new furniture, a brilliant refresh.
However the best news is that “Danny” the new chef has arrived, a breath of fresh air. He came to the table and spoke with us, he was both professionally very competent and very personable. Things are clearly looking up at the Tap Room. The Pizzas are still great and based on today’s meal with two friends and our dogs, who were very well treated!! We expect great things with an ever evolving menu.
Thanks Danny for a great meal, my wife’s butter milk chicken burger was great, and my fish goujon sandwich was amazing both in quantity and value. I can’t believe how many goujons I had in the huge wedges of bread with salad and Tartar sauce, and my request for extra Tartar sauce was happily complied with.
A minor suggestion: Please consider the possibility of tying in the delivery of food from the Pizza Oven with the food from the kitchen, especially when the kitchen is not under pressure. The food from the kitchen was very rapidly delivered, and we were nearly finished when our friends Pizzas arrived. All the food was great, it would have been greater if their delivery was coordinated.
Based on today’s meals we are certainly going to reinstate our regular Friday Lunch visits. (Especially as Chips are back on the Friday Menu and the Slow Cooked Beef Sandwich has been removed from the menu by the new chef! A great move!!)
Friendly but slow service, and not good value. I ordered the Cottage breakfast. When it arrived, after nearly 20 minutes it consisted of two small overcooked rashers, a sausage which was small enough to qualify as a half sausage, a hash brown of minuscule proportions, one half tomato, a small fried egg and a large pot of baked beans. (I declined the mushrooms) There were two generous slices of toast accompanied by a single pat of butter each, just enough to smear most of the surface, but not enough to make you feel that you had had any butter. For this I was charged 11 pounds 50, with 3.30 for a small Americano on top. It was edible but not delicious. Basically it was a disappointment.
If you are going to offer breakfast try and inject some pizazz into it and remember that if you have someone ordering breakfast it usually means they are hungry and don't want to wait 20 minutes to be served. The place was nowhere full so what the wait would have been like with multiple orders who knows. Won't be returning.

The staff are very bubbly and pleasant. There is such a variety of doughnuts to choose from. They are all fresh and taste amazing! Definitely worth a visit!
The Deliver Driver is a lovely woman Bless her heart. I feel bad for making her walking in the Station car park by herself. Aw She’s been an absolute Star
Caper and Berry were the highlight of our wedding! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was also top-notch; the staff were professional, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. They were happy to accomodate all of our various requests. They were even able to make a last minute change on the day for some of our guests which was hugely appreciated. Highly highly recommended!
Wow! Terrific Sunday lunch. We had short ribs of beef. Just falling off the bone and full of flavour. Too much to eat, we doggie-bagged the surplus for later. Most pub Sunday’s are a bit disappointing - not this place.
A friendly, cosy place with buckets of atmosphere. Excellent selection of local beers. Great wine list, and an enticing menu. Food is very well presented. The staff are friendly and always on hand. Best pub/restaurant in Surrey! Go and Enjoy.
Went last night with a group of colleagues (consultants at the nearby hospital) and one of our hospitals executives. Ordered a burger at the bar. A clearly very angry and aggressive
Waitress brought out the dish. I helped her by taking the plate and placing it in front of me. She scoffed and turned away to leave. My colleagues asked if she could get me some cutlery. She was very disinterested and left , never to return again. I helped myself to napkins , cutlery etc in the end. The food was nothing special. Burger was under seasoned and the portion of chips was tiny.
I will not be returning
