The aroma, taste, texture & appearance of the food was amazing and out of this universe! I give my all to the top chef Levi! I would 1000% recommend to all my friends and family. I would not go to any other pub other than this one. 10/10 for me :)
We have nothing but positive feedback for everyone from Caper & Berry that was involved in bringing our special day to life, with particular shout outs to Alistair, Amanda, Harrison and Tui! No task was too big, from seamlessly handling deliveries of inventory to executing a bespoke menu including large family-style sharing platters down to refined canapes and evening snacks. We received so many comments about the quality of the food and cocktails - and we can't disagree! Overall, the service was impeccable at every step and we felt really looked after. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.
The food was delicious and offered great value for money. The staff were friendly, and the beer was well maintained.
It's a great place for a meal or just a quick drink!
They have a predominantly gluten-free menu, which is quite unique and deserves to be shared more widely!
Sunny lunch time in the garden and the food here was amazing. So many options I fancied on the menu but in the end I chose the Mediterranean quiche, which was delicious.
Large group of friendly walkers on the table next to us, so we had a good view of some of the other options and also could hear their complimentary comments.
We will definitely have to go back and try the other options!
Pretty secluded peaceful country garden.
We ate from the bar food menu opposed to the restaurant menu but that looked great too. Service was fantastic by all the staff. We didn’t feel our bill was overpriced for the quality of food and service we received.
Didn’t see the inside of the pub, so can’t comment.
We were a party of 25 guides from a South Coast museum who visited West Horsley Place in the morning. West Horsley Place staff recommended the King William IV as a place to eat. They were not wrong. We ordered our meals prior to arrival. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. Staff friendly and welcoming. Tables reserved for us. We were given time to buy drinks and settle before the food arrived. Very slick. All served at the same time. So no one hanging about for food whilst the rest of us tucked in. Food delicious and high quality. The battered fish main meal and the Cumberland sausage main meal especially popular with the group and enjoyed by all. Highly recommend. It's a shame it is not closer to our homes otherwise it would be perfect local for us.
Two families with young children had a fantastic evening; delicious food and wine, fast service from our kind and engaging waitress, Ashley. Thank you!
I come here regularly on a Saturday lunchtime. The bacon, broe and cranberry hot sandwiches are served all year round and are excellent. I also like the chicken wings. Lots of students, but an older crowd too. There’s always a game on the big screens too. A nice place for a Saturday lunch.

Really poor quality across the board. We ordered a large range and the best bit was the poppadoms, which were delicious. The mint sauce for dipping tasted like toothpaste and the tikka balti tasted like a rich, ketchup based, Italian dish. Prawn puri ok but very basic, same with korma plus added sugar.
I reckon the chef was Italian and is trying a fusion. It didn't work and we won't be orderering again. Quite punctual.
