Booked a table for our family a week in advance, arrived and seated promptly. Top service from bar staff, an amazing Sunday roast dinner ( a bonus would be to have a choice of sides for example stuffing and pigs in blankets ) good for your money. Chef was checking in to make sure everything was okay. Couldn’t have asked for a better, friendlier place to eat at! Will definitely be back!

First class steak sandwich and a pint for about two thirds the price you'd pay at some other local pubs. Excellent service and a fine location. Very satisfied.

We are local and arrived at the Queen Victoria at 8.50pm to celebrate a friend's birthday. On entering through the front door the woman behind the bar barked at us that she was closing as their place was "So quiet". There were a few other customers in there. I thought that businesses needed customers at the moment? Thanks a lot, a reason to go to the other nearby pub in the future.

Lunchtime drink and food - lovely little patio area in the back and truly delicious freshly prepared food.

Going back now 60 yrs ago any loose change you got from the bar the custom was to pop it in the floor boards through the cracks as you stepped into the public bar . Is it still there ? Phil Collins was a regular in them days and always chuckled as regulars popped the loose change in the public bar entrance

Popped in for a beer after our walk along the river from Guildford and decided to stay for Sunday roast. Very nice. Even managed to squeeze in a brownie, albeit shared between two. Very friendly young crew.

We had roast lamb and it was all very good.

Wanted a beer after work. Pub was local to work so me and lads nipped in. Covered in dust etc from taking walls down and no problem. Good service and friendly staff.

Fantastic Sunday Roast provided for our two families yesterday, we couldn’t fault it. Excellent staff and a great way to have a decent break on a long walk. Will definitely go back.

Visited The Queen Victoria for lunch with a friend last week. We were met with a very warm welcome from the staff of this attractive local pub. Local beers were superb as was the excellent value food. Will definitely visit again when next in the Surrey Hills for a walk.

We reserved a table for 18, food and drinks were served promptly, standard of food was outstanding, staff and service were first class. I recommend you give it a try!

We had a family reunion and booked for 18 of us to go to Sunday lunch , the food was absolutely beautiful, couldn’t fault it. The atmosphere was lovely and everyone was friendly. The price was very reasonable, just had a great time all round. Highly recommended.

What an amazing find! 17 of us for Sunday Lunch and it was superb. Food was delicious, great choice of meat, veg cooked perfectly and cauliflower cheese was very tasty. Sticky toffee pudding was the best I have ever eaten and the chocolate brownie looked just as good. Service was excellent, friendly staff. The pub itself has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and we will definitely be back.

Found this pub after recently moving to the area. Thought we would try the Sunday roast after seeing the good reviews. We ended up slightly disappointed. From previous experience of dining out on a Sunday the majority of places offer roast or a mixed roast. I chose the roast beef dinner was nice beef possibly overcooked. In the standard roast i got 3 slices of meat ( no complaints) My husband chose the mixed which is 23.95 so £5 more than non mixed he only got 3 slices of meat 1 lamb 2 beef so absolutely no different in qty!! It seems after questioning this you pay an extra £5 for the privilege of the chef changing 1 slice of meat for you... I think that is to be honest not very good so beware I would not recommend asking for a mixed roast yiu are charged £5 more for nothing. We called the bar person to place our order as no waiting staff made an attempt to come to our table. Dessert is very limited 3 choices. Glad we triedebut don't think I would recommend or return

Welcoming environment, lovely atmosphere, highly recommend a visit. We had the sea bass, served with delicious tiger prawns, new potatoes & a selection of vegetables. Great menu and even better chef. Reasonably priced and will definitely return. 100% recommend.

We met here as it was as midway pub between 4 friends who now no longer live in the same town. Having never ventured here it was a gamble. From the outside I wasn't expecting much, but actually we received a lovely welcome and they didn't mind we came burdened with 1 toddler, and 3 babies between 3 months and 15 months. The food was lovely and the chef was incredibly friendly when he came and delivered the food. The menu isn't extensive and serves good pub food, but you'd rather a smaller menu cooked well than a large one which isn't great. It was busy for a Saturday at 1pm but they let you reserve food. The only issue is the pub got full quickly so if you are coming make sure you book and the parking is limited if you are all coming as a big party with multiple cars. The good news to this though is it's right by the train station.

We arranged Christmas lunch (see their special menu) for our rambling club with 22 members attending. We submitted our orders in advance. The Queen Victoria coped very well indeed, fully living up to our expectations - the food was delicious, and the portions generous. Good beer too. All the staff were once again very friendly and welcoming - true service with a smile!

Had my third Sunday Roast at The Queen Vic yesterday and once again it was excellent. The beef was cooked perfectly and the vegetables not overdone. The cauliflower cheese is wonderful. The atmsophere is vibrant and the staff friendly.

Nice friendly pub right next to the station. Quick service and tasty food.

Came here with a relative last Wednesday. We had a nice lunch. Very nice interior after being renovated. Waitresses very good and friendly. The only downside is the pub entrance. I am disabled temporarily and the doorway and steps are a bit of a nightmare in my situation. Perhaps this could be improved with a ramp?

Since Zoe has taking over the Queen Vic it has a very nice vibe to it. She's made it her own style a few alterations and decorated through out, and its really a nice feel good community pub. Zoe's a really lovely Landlady very friendly and loves a good laugh. What more could you ask for? As for the food, now that Joe has come back OMG winner winner chicken dinner!!! No that's not the only thing Joe cooks LOL The roasts on a Sunday are a fantabulous basic non complicated menu, and in my eye's that's how Sunday's should be. I can't stop going on Sunday's it's that good!! No waiting, No delays and Zoe & Joe will accommodate you as much as they possibly can, as well as the staff. Joe's a lovely guy, he comes out meets and greets and make sure your visit for whichever reason is a good one. The Staff are a friendly bunch too, with nice attitudes, smiles, hard working, and very helpful. And I'm quite happy to say this will be my local. Nice work guys!

Came here on the off chance as usual venue was closed. Really warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble and warm beef sandwich was delicious. Will definitely being going again as liked the smaller menu style. Amazing. Thank you

The pub has had a makeover and looks great! The garden is lovely and the staff friendly. However there is a distinct lack of vegetarian food - very limited indeed. Unless you want meat or fish you are in for a very boring meal. We didn’t eat here as it’s so easy to make a very tasty meal at home. It’s a shame though. We know lots of veggies around who would come if the menu was imaginative and tasty.

We had a wake there, and was very happy with everything, the staff are lovely and Joe the Chef is amazing, the food at the wake was great so we went back last night for a meal and the food was exceptional, this is a good thing but a lot of food on the plate lol,, great value great food great village pub, will definitely go back again loved it.

My wife & I enjoyed a stunning dinner at this lovely pub last night visiting for the first time, the food was absolutely fantastic, with a great atmosphere in the pub. We highly recommend, and will definitely be going back.

Good honest food at sensible prices for the middle of Surrey.

Delicious food and drink, in a lovely peaceful garden out the back where we sat with our dogs who had just been on a river walk. We felt a bit sorry for the barking kennelled dog in the garden but we enjoyed our time nevertheless. The staff serving at the bar and from the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

This supposed to be a family pub but it is not so I have been coming in her for 25 years plus and to night I was told that I could not have my niece in here after 9.00 pm clock there should be a sign to say and think they should be some one on the door check for under age the pub has changed so much I don’t think we will be coming in her as a family anymore

We went here for a family members funeral. The staff were lovely and friendly very helpful. Joe the chef rang several times confirming arrangements etc. the food was plentiful very tasty all freshly made. We would recommend this pub for wakes etc. Joe the chef was on the ball checked on us and the food and the table to keep clean and tidy and if everything was ok throughout.

Popped in on the way home from Guildford . Convenient and pleasant enough.

Not often to come across perfectly cooked food, the boss lady oh sorry landlady the perfect host and an absolute diamond to meet I definitely recommend this pub and definitely recommend there food.

The food was really good, especially the fish and chips. But the cooking time can be improved as we waited for 50 mins for it to be served.

Lovely friendly service and the most amazing stuffed tiger prawns followed by sticky toffee pudding - a proper winters evening treat in a real pub. Ham, egg and chips also highly recommended !

Had an impromptu dinner here a couple of weeks ago, some dance friends booked for a group and I was a late addition along with a few others. This did not phase the staff and they went out of their way to accommodate us all. Despite the chef working on his own he managed to turn out 12+ meals all presented to a very high standard, piping hot and all very tasty! He popped out to say hello as well. All the staff were great, friendly and efficient and the pub is warm and cosy too. Gluten free options available as well. Would definitely return.

Absolutely outstanding lunch. Highly recommend the stuffed prawns and the sea bass. One of the best lunches we have had for ages, excellent value for money and delightful ambience. Great staff, exceptional chef, well done landlady Zoe you have a terrific pub. We will be back.

Have been meaning to put this review up for a while now! From beginning to end, Zoe & her staff couldn’t have been more helpful throughout the whole process/ party. Discussing buffet requirements, communicating re dates/times at fairly short notice & accommodating our gluten-free guests. Special mention to Joe the chef, our buffet was plentiful, the wraps/sandwiches had delicious fillings & the ‘chicken legs’ were mouth watering! The cakes spoke for themselves, as there were none left at all. The pub has a lovely atmosphere & our guests commented on how friendly the staff were. Would highly recommend visiting or having your party/celebration at The Queen Victoria! Thank you from all the family xx

Despite a few late additions to the number of diners, the lovely staff and chef managed to feed us all with delicious piping hot food at one table. The portion sizes were generous and the food was cooked to perfection. Many thanks.... we will be back!

Pub was recommended for the prawn dishes on the menu so we went for my Birthday. OMG the grilled gambas skewers are to die for and very cleverly presented with the main shell taken off but the heads left on. My Hubby loved the chilli....

The location seems a little strange and sat nav tend to miss the car park taking to station car park but it is worth finding. The staff and food are excellent very friendly. Food is plentiful and high quality. No pictures too busy enjoying it.
