The best restaurants in Basingstoke and Deane South East

Staff extremely pleasant, served promptly with a well made coffee. Fairly clean, plenty of seating. Not overly saturated with the laptop/free WiFi/no drink brigade! Plenty of other Starbucks could take a leaf out of the Festival team! Well done

Was enjoying a nice afternoon watching cricket on the shop terrace when I experienced a male member of staff verbally abusing one of his colleagues. Totally shocking and something I wouldn’t expect from a quaint village shop!

My second visit here and definitely not the last. This place is a must for a Basingstoke lunch. Quick and easy, fresh, huge portion sizes, great food, well priced and nice staff. Oh and chopsticks. Couldn’t ask for more.

Had a lovely experience for lunch last week. Food was tasty, wine on the lunch menu was perfectly matched. The service from Tyler was excellent. Would definitely go again.

I used the the elctric vehicle charger i did ask permission to charge by text message they replayed to me to me with a green light to use the charger after 25 today I received fine .I don't understand

Went there a couple days ago and for my first visit was very impressed, the waitress was very polite and attentive. the food was quick and very very tasty. Will be back again!

Dapne deserves a raise! Just visited the store (12.30 8/8/24) for a takeaway, originally served by Bethany who as soon as she realised we were coming for the food put it down and walked off, zero customer service skills!! Dapne who was finishing serving next to me, without prompting, asked if I’d like a drinks tray (3 drinks and a bag to carry by myself) and if I’d like any sauces. Got back to the car to find the order wasn’t correct, when I got to the counter both Dapne and Bethany had their backs to the counter, only Dapne responded to my “excuse me”, she was polite and apologetic while Bethany just walked off to flirt with the male store Manager/Assistant Manager. Dapne was polite, helpful and friendly, she is showing how customer service should be! Would have fed this back to the store directly but can’t without a 12 digit code from the receipt but the self service machine didn’t give a receipt.

Shocking service and duty manager is mocking customers. We have been disappointed a few times when using drive thru at this McDonald’s but we have learnt to check everything. Tonight due to feeling unwell we have ordered delivery. We had two items missing and due to no answer, my wife drove down. The service from duty manager Chloe was shocking. The new policy is that all items need to be returned as they are weighed out. Doesn’t say this anywhere but it’s Chloe’s policy. In fact Chloe is the most unhelpful manager I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Constantly saying she can’t hear you or saying she has a problem with the headset. She refused to give us missing items. Refused to give managers details. Refused to help in any way.

It was so good very clean and tidy,the staff were friendly but especially this one man who did everything but all the food was great and really tasty!

The McRib is absolutely delicious ! Every bite is packed with amazing flavour-so yummy and finger- licking good! With the current promo, its the perfect time to try it. I came to Morrisons Basingstoke to buy fresh tilapia from their fish section and decided to pick up one the their cake shop doughnuts. I choose the raspberry flavour but lo and behold when l got home only one doughnut had not enough raspberry jam in it. I opened the second doughnut to find there was no jam in that one which prompted me to open the rest of the doughnut only to find those were empty too. Please Morrisons do not cheat people and sell products that doesn’t correspond to the description. Very disappointed and won’t buy doughnuts from there again as this is the second time it’s happened to that’s why lm prompted to write this review.

Nice mid morning snack But --- annoying that there was NO Saucer with my cup of coffee! I asked for one only to be told they don't have any!!! So coffee spilled on to tray. Puts me off going to M&S again.

They charged me too much and when i queried it, they said it was because they’d run out of a certain size cup, so had made me a larger (!) one. Not the brightest staff.
