The Boundary Shop and Cafe in Basingstoke and Deane

Was enjoying a nice afternoon watching cricket on the shop terrace when I experienced a male member of staff verbally abusing one of his colleagues. Totally shocking and something I wouldn’t expect from a quaint village shop!

This is a lovely small cafe, with extremely friendly, helpful staff. Has small menu but very good. Dog friendly.Also has small well stocked shop and Post office. Well worth a visit

Only twice have I sought refreshment at this place and both times have had to resort to the local pub. The staff are unwelcoming and on the last occasion, my friend and I had to wait until the 'person in charge of food' had finished tapping on his mobile phone before he replied to his colleague. It was made clear that we were an imposition. As my experience has been a 100% fail, I can only assume that this is the normal standard.
