More like an Internet cafe, than a barista! Lots of people on laptops. All spread out. . Little seating left for those just wanting sit and have coffee.

Took my dog in here because I was told they did dog "drinks". Its basically a bit of cream in a cup but my dog loved it. The staff were really nice and my dog loved being around people. Though he was a little nervous at first... This is now going to be a weekly thing. One of the staff even got my dog a refill lol. Thank you very much Starbucks staff!

Coffee could be hotter and food could be fresher

First, let's get the outrageous prices out of the way. A coffee and snack of this most dubious quality should not take the best part of £10 out of your pocket, but here, it does. Given the severity of the walletectomy inflicted, you might expect the welcome to be enthusiastic, and the staff attentive. If you did, you'll be disappointed. Four zombie-like creatures were on duty when I visited, two of whom did nothing but play with their workstations and flirt on their headsets while the other two worked at glacial pace to deliver orders. My sausage bap was cold by the time my latte was ready, and that's quite an achievement. The manager here (if there is one, and there has never been any sign of it on my visits) needs sacking, and the undead staff need, somehow, to be dragged back from the afterlife and taught how to do their jobs. The decor is an exercise in creating a space which does not, and never will, indeed cannot, have any atmosphere at all. I'm not asking for a re-creation of AM|PM Bohemian (check it out), but taking bland to this extreme does no-one any favours.

Just wanted a mug, not the takeaway cup, but none available! Is this a coffee house? I went back twice September 2024. Much improved customer service especially the Manager.

The person who made the order put a cute message on it which made me smile and the delivery guy was very nice.

Driver was very rude when missing items were raised.

Drinks here are all freshly made and very nice. The problem with Starbucks is the price is getting beyond competitive and it is becoming a treat more then a regular visit.

I received a £100 parking fine for exceeding the time restriction. I did not see the parking signs and never expected there to be restrictions for Starbucks especially considering it’s in the middle of nowhere with nowhere to go other than into the businesses that would have use of the car park! Absolutely fuming! Would not return again!

Truly awful, just ordered a double expresso to have in, as from past experience it's about the only drink they can't mess up. Got a cold single expresso in a large mug !

Absolutely amazing delivery speed

It is what it says on the label. Great coffee, nice snacks, you get what you expect so no complaints. Some days service leaves a lot to be desired, but other days it's great. Depends on individual staff, of course!

I come here weekly, I've never had a decent coffee here. Today the "drink in" flat white was in a takeaway cup and when I asked to have it remade it was just poured into a cup. Just typical. Can't believe anyone making the coffee has any training, just awful

Starbucks encourage you to buy a reusable cup and bring it in to them, so I do and then somehow it’s my fault the barista doesn’t know how much coffee to put in the cup then proceeds to spill it all over the sides and blame it on me. “Don’t order a medium next time” is what she said to me, excuse me?!?!!! I didn’t say a size of drink, I said “can I have it in my cup” and obviously the message went straight over her head and accused me of misinforming her. Now I’m also thinking has she overcharged me for a medium drink when it’s the smaller black travel mug ? 🤔 Coffee tasted burnt, not frothy and light as a cappuccino should. Sorely disappointed.

Both drinks wrong. No dragon fruit pieces in the dragon fruit refresher, and no cold foam (that I paid extra for) on the iced coffee

We walked in into Starbucks and have requested our breakfast to Jay. She then asked us to scan our starbucks card. Then we were ready to pay but the amount wasn’t showing in the screen. We have informed her. She started raising her voice saying it was our fault as it must be some problem with our customer starbucks card. I have asked her what was the relation between the card points and the amount showing in the screen. She then shouted to other customer saying ‘’come here please so I can show to them that is not my fault and it’s their problem’’! She was so so unprofessional. She was keep repeating herself saying it wasn’t her problem and it was our fault. Very rude, unprofessional and to be fair with all of you it is a shame of a company like Starbucks to have someone like this at the till! I am waiting for a response and I am raising this higher that it can be! We were treated badly by a person that should be professional enough and try to sort it out the issue! Not shouting to others customers saying ‘’did I have a problem with yours? No! So it’s their fault’’. How acceptable is this? I am waiting for your feedback but,again, I am taking this higher as I can go! Absolutely unbelievable!

Peach ice tea just taste like cold ice water gutted.

Was not impressed with the service. Went around 13.40 on Sunday. Ordered my drinks, stood waiting, waiting, waiting!!!! Finally asked if I had got my drinks, said no, so was chased up, when recieved made incorrectly. Was told they was all stressed as the drive through headphones not working!!!!!! Not really my problem. Think the shop works better in the week. Not so great at weekends

Sadly this is my third order that has taken over and hour and half to deliver and delivery time kept changing every few minutes. Order a cold drink and it was like a milkshake rather than iced drink. Give up now! Don’t think I’ll try again

Time originally was 30 to 40 minutes took over an hour. Hot sandwich squashed against cold drink . So sandwich cold and no cream on frappacino

I’m going to stop ordering from this Starbucks. Every time I order my caramel coffee frappe is always made wrong. I have phoned and spoken to the staff about this before twice and it’s always either made without coffee or made far to Iceie to that’s got no flavour and they never put caramel drizzle around the cup. The stander of drink is awful considering the prices they are and they can’t even be made right. Shocking

Coffee taste is very bad, burnt. Seems that the Coffee machine water pressure and beans grinder are not calibrated beside the inexpierenced barista who dont know how to prepare a spresso macchiato. I was asked at the till if taking the coffee in or take away, I decided to take it in but still had my cofffee in a disposable cup??? Asked for a cup to the barista who advised that they dont have cups...?

There was quite a big queue to be served and collect drinks but got served and collected my drinks pretty quickly. Service was pleasant. I got my free cup and the drinks were great.

This branch picked up a bit a few years ago and was kept clean by the staff. Today we are back to square 1. Filthy floor, dirty tables, disgusting chairs. Ordered at the sticky grubby counter. Couldn’t even get the order right. Got two cookies instead of 1. 3 medium drinks instead of 2 med 1 large. God knows what we were charged for as never get given or even offered a receipt.

I dropped my car off at the garage down the road and headed to Starbucks to get some work done. I was there for 4 hours and had numerous drinks. It was absolutely spotless and I noted one person that was circling cleaning constantly.. he not only cleared down the tables but also wiped down the chairs and then brushed up underneath. The coffee was good, it was reasonably quiet. Plenty of parking and wheelchair friendly. Plenty of high chairs so able to have small children there.

I don't like the new interior, its very clinical, the chairs are not comfortable or practical and the low coffee tables are so big you're sat too far from the person you're with making private conversation difficult. The new chairs are really uncomfortable, unless you have incredibly long legs, your feet won't touch the floor plus the backs of the chairs are so curved you can't hang your coat on the back. Wish they'd bring back comfy armchairs. Unless they're hoping people don't stay long of course.

I enjoy coming to this starbucks as the staff are usually lovely and have lots of energy in particular one young man called noah, on the other hand there have been a couple of occasions where I have overheard conversations between staff members and in those instances I have found that a young lady, hannah, has been rude towards her colleagues. As a customer I was not impressed and thought it should be brought to someone attention as her attitude is poor and I wouldn't appreciate it if I worked there. On the plus side the cafe is tidy and the atmosphere is cosy especially with the recent refurbishment. I would recommend coming here.

I ordered some hot and cold drinks from Starbucks @ houndmills. perfect taste, each one made to precision tastes and needs and dietary and allergen choices. Would always recommend 👌

Staff are great, the extra workspace they've added mean the queues will go down quicker. Great for visiting with dogs who get a free puppacino (or two). A shame they've lost some of the comfy seats though.

Have been going here years.. today turned up to get a coffee as I often do.. i walked in, nothing on door to indictate they were not serving... still over an hour until closing. We were rudely told ' drive through only' not even a sorry.. I questioned why door was open then and no sign and was stared at blankly.. very very disappointed.. There was not even a car in the drive through.. would understand if they said take away only!!

My Sister and I enjoy meeting here for coffee... Was such a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable sofas, sperate tables, and spacious. My only issue was with the entrance door. I am disabled, at time I am in a wheelchair, but have weak joints which are prone to Dislocation. Many times I have hurt myself opening the door, have to wait for someone to help me if I'm on my own, and even abled bodied people struggle when they have a cup in hand. They have just reopened after a "refurbishment" and have nothing positive to say at all. First and foremost, they haven't done anything about the entrance door, (wouldn't take much to put an electric opening system on to it) Gone are the comfortable sofas, instead a rock hard bench. The chair around the single tables do not take account posture at all, in fact you're sat back in them, not only are you at an angle, but if someone is sat opposite you in one, you would not hear eachother so have to sit forward! There is one huge table for about 10/12 people and a 1/4 of the shop taken up with a long bench and individual tables. As someone who suffers from anxiety I know I would come straight back out if I went in and those were the only seating, as couldn't sit at a table either others, or on a bench with people sat right at my side .. I mean private conversations are impossible! As for the service... Wow!!! My sister's drink was put in a takeaway cup, even though I said we were both staying in, I said it wasn't a takeaway drink, and was taken off me, without a word, poured into a cup, and "plonked" back on the counter, again, nothing said. As shown in the photo, there was no queue and the drive thru was clear, yet all the staff stood there chatting whilst every free table had not been cleared or cleaned from being used. Without doubt, however much has been spent on the refurbishment, was a waste, and the staff morale and customer service from those that were on shift on the 10th Feb was non existent! What a shame.

Quite a nice tidy Starbucks with a good atmosphere. Quite a large coffee shop with a good amount of seating. Staff here are friendly and welcoming and service is pretty quick. Recommend a visit.

Order has a missing item. Seems they ran out of stock of the said order and they don’t want to risk sending an alternative because i might not like the replacement. Fortunately, the staff was lovely and guided me through the refund process. Thank you Starbucks Houndmills.

Not sure what’s going on but the last 3 coffees I’ve ordered seem to have no milk in, even though they should be lattes. All I taste is watery coffee and watery foam. It should be thick frothy milk. If it doesn’t improve then I will stop ordering and I order a LOT from here.

I have made the change from Costa to Starbucks. I am not a coffee drinker but my family are. Houndmills Starbucks drive through are amazing. Noah is polite, friendly and always smiling. Idris is also the same. They are a well oiled machine at Houndmills Basingstoke Starbucks. I love your soya Chai Latte hot and iced and often get one of each. It's hot which I love and very warming on a very cold morning. The orders are taken, the guys in the background make the drinks and they are delivered to you as soon as they are available. STARBUCKS: YOU SHOULD NOT BE ADDING MORE PRESSURE TO YOUR STAFF BY PUTTING THOSE SCREENS UP THAT TELL THEM THEY ARE NOT DOING THERE JOB FAST ENOUGH. COME DOWN FROM YOUR BIG OFFICES AND SPEND A DAY WITH THE TEAM AND THEN SEE HOW REALITY WORKS!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE. 👍 👌 👏

This is a nice Starbucks to have some personal time or to get over with work while just people watching. I come to this one for doing some of my office work which is not possible with kids at home. Nice place, reminds me of the scenario in The States where I was a frequent customer. Food is ok, prices are a bit high compared to other places like Costa but the ambience is what I give 5 star rating. There is a 2 hour free parking so very happy with that. Can’t comment on anything beyond that period as I have never been past that. Bottom line, good place for 2 hours.

As I had my first aid training today, I gone in to the Houndmills Starbucks for my lunch break, as I was getting ready to pay, getting my money out, I was told that we don’t accept cash….like hold on, it’s still legal tender you should accepted, i was very confused and the attitude of the staff was like I done something wrong, I don’t really visit the houndmills one very often, but not a very nice experience.

Very busy but still lots of cups and plates left on tables I had to ask for a cloth to wipe table down. I use this place alot and most days its very good. Please clean or replace tge furniture it's looking knackered!

Avoid the drive-thru if ANY queue. It will move at glacial pace - 30 minutes to buy two simple coffees and they were wrong.

The shop closes at 21:30 we went at 21:00 lights still on, door unlocked, all staff still inside in uniform, but they refused to take our order and said they were closed. We left angry and really hungry. Poor customer service.

Horrible ! It’s a fish market in there no one knows what they are doing. Plus in the name of making drinks it’s just random and whatever.

I made a small Starbucks order after seeing it was estimated to take 20-35mins to be delivered. My food took over an hour to be delivered and was over the estimated time I was given on the app. The food was cold and drink melted. I am very disappointed with this device as I didn’t receive updates and waited a long time for my food and drink for it to then be cold and un enjoyable. I won’t be ordering from here again

Sorry but this was extremely poor service today . 8 staff on but waited 10 mins for my food order , only to be told they don’t have any knives so had to spread butter with a fork ! Also we had our drinks inside yet were given them in a take away mug ( only difference this time we were not charged for a take away cup!) I do not expect to pay your prices and have to slum it .

Only used this place for the 1st time this week and visited on 2 separate occasions. Both times I was served by a lady called Jay, who was very friendly, polite and just took pride in her job and actually made me feel valued as a customer, so next time I am in area, definitely be returning
